Beautiful work. This is why I love my FP, there is no competition aside from actual cinema cameras. And CDNG is such a powerful, real raw format.

Until I saw your video, I thought sigma fp was a outputting unbeautiful image camera due to color space(or unusual image processing technology). But your footage is so beautiful that I doubt it's sigma fp I know. Love it.

Hello, I was trying to find videos of cinemaDNG by sigma fp and I found your channel. Videos are so touching. "upscaled" means you upscaled 1080p Raw with internal SD to 4K resolution? I would like to ask how big is the file size of 1080p CDNG 10bit for 1 minute. And is this possible on internal SD card right!? Thank you

⁠@@boogeybThe fx3 has more d range that I could instantly noticed. Low light, rolling shutter performance are great of course. And I like smaller body eventually. The only down side of the fx3 is the color to me.

@@hideki_film Thank you for your answer! That’s what I always heard about Sony . Especially the color . I didn’t know the rolling shutter of the z9 was not as good as in the fx3. Same for the DR. As for the form factor maybe a Z8 could be a good in between without sacrificing with the color . Do you have any preference between the fx3 and the sigma fp ? They seem to tick a lot of common boxes

@@boogeybThe fp has much more neutral but yet deeper color. The fx3 takes everything else. However I can’t really say which one is the better camera.

I tcompared both modes and it is visibly sharper when using the S35 mode, since there is no line skipping. The quality is still excellent using full-frame, just not as good. I picked my fp again recently and I'm using in the S35 mode now most of the time, when the light is good enough to shoot at ISO 800. In low light the noise levels are much better using full-frame.

@@hideki_film I'm sure you'll like it, especially if you keep the camera at ISO 800 (or lower), to avoid noise. You'll especially notice the difference using small apertures in scenes with lots of detail. The detail is comparable to the old Blackmagic Production Camera 4K, while in FF it's not on the same level. Also, there's the bonus of the lower rolling shutter in S35.

you seem to have taken to the sigma cam, I admit it does look great, maybe on par with the blackmagics!

To be fair, I think it's kind of meaningless to shoot with these vintage lens. I would never pass the blind test with say Canon FD, Nikkors, or the newer Sigma 35mm f2.. especially at such wide aperture and you shot it on 1080p.... I find it slightly misleading, and false advertising, and it only serves the viewer, and the photographer as Jesus or Chinese Medicine... not much but it gives out marginal result if at all, but some degree of psychological confidence...
