Hi! Nice testing video! I have the sigma 18-35 f1.8 lens and planning to buy a Sony zve1, just curious is the 18mm useable? Or it need cropped. If I turn on the stabilisation, will I still get the black corner? You’re the only one I could found online have the test. The best

With the stabilisation on you will have no black corners at 18mm.

Hi, great looking video. Man I have the Zve1 and I just got the7artisans adapter to be able to use my 18-35, but when I turn on the active stabilization The footage becomes very shaky, I also have the sigma 24-70, and works good on this, but can’t get it to work with the 18-35, I am wondering if I should change any setting for this, any thoughts? Thanks

Yes. For some reason when adapting lenses electronically the focal length information is not passed to the camera correctly. I’m sure it’s done on purpose tbh because it works fine in photo mode. You need to go to stabilisation settings and turn of automatic focal length Aquisition. Not sure what it’s actually called. After that you can adjust the focal length to what you’re currently using for best result. I used a custom button to bring the focal length list. In case of this particular lens you can just set the focal length of stabilisation to 24mm and it should give you decent results in all focal lengths. Bizarrely I’ve had the Sigma 28-70 f2.8, e mount native lens and I had to do the same exact thing when using this lens as the ibis was going absolute nuts. Neither Sony nor sigma where of any help.

@@lumalt I have tried it with Tamron 35-150 f2.8-4 it was good. Only when focusing from close to far I had to use the af-on. It was fine with canon 10-18 and sigma 18-50 f2.8 but Canon 70-300 STM didn’t focus at all.
