SIG TANGO MSR 1-8x | First Rounds Budget LPVO

Ойын-сауық

www.AmericanLictor.com
This is my first training session with the SIG TANGO MSR 1-8x that I installed on my 14.5" BCM. So far I am enjoying this budget optic and have little to complain about. I will continue to shoot this and always provide updated information especially if I find anything that is an absolute no-go.

If you ever get your hands on one, I'd like to see you test the Swampfox Arrowhead 1-8. I've heard great things about that as far as reasonably priced 1-8s go. I read that some SOF guys took the 1-10 overseas and had nothing but good things to say about it. Take care.

I got the 1-6. Its pretty good. Glass is clear. Eye relief is a little tight at 6x but its still decent. Also, I just bought the 1-8 so thats why I am watching this video. I assume its going to have the same characteristics as the 1-6. Tight eye relief at 8x and decent sight at the lower magnifications.

I just discovered your channel... and Subscribed! Great Video!!! I recently bought Sig M400 Tread Coil 5.56 and currently have a Romeo5/Juliet4 setup on it. I'm pretty happy with it but for longer distances, I'd like to get a scope for it. (I've got coyotes in my neck of the woods) I had my eye on the Tango 1-10x. On an earlier video, I read that you have one for your wife who likes more magnification. Well, me too! I'm 61 years old and wear glasses and not as young as I use to be. (Don't get OLD!!) Do you think the 1-10x would be overkill, or you seem pretty happy with the 1-8X? I look forward to your review on the Tango 1-10x! Thanks in advance!!!

I think the 1-8x is all anyone would really need because you do lose some eye relief with the 1-10x and a little weight. To be honest the 1-6x is really nice and I just did some drills with that last weekend.

Trying to decide between this and the 1-10. They are available at almost the same price. Have you had time to compare the two? Is eye relief worse at max on the 1-10? BTW, thanks for the thorough review. Subbed!

The eye relief is much better on the 1-8x than the 1-10x. To be honest if your not shooting far the 1-6x might be all you need. I would see myself shooting the 1-10x when I'm sitting still compared to running around.

Just ordered the Tango MSR fde 1-8x for my Spear LT 5.56 16". Can't wait to try it all out. Can always return it or swap it out and upgrade when ready. Hopefully it'll be just the ticket for my current needs. Thanks again! Your comparison short between the TMSR and the Strike Eagle was a big deciding factor.

All my optics are “budget” or “cheap” optics lol. I have a primary arms Gen 2 1x prism, a PA slx 1-8 and a slx 4-14. I wanted to keep the reticle somewhat the same throughout my different rifles. The clarity is fine, on max magnification on the two scopes the eye relief sucks. I’m building a 16” upper right now and i think it will get the primary arms glx 2.5-10. I should get a more quality scope but retain the reticle similarity, the bdc reticles just make it super easy for people that don’t get to shoot all that much. Edit: forgot to mention the new intro,it’s dope 🤘. I love shooting in the snow,i can never get anyone to go with me 🙄

I think working with a budget is how most people build a rifle. Doing a video on something that most people won't buy or don't need to be talked into buying is what I want to avoid. I want to find more reasonable options. Shooting in the snow is incredibly fun. I broke out the gore tex just because I didn't want to be soaking wet when I got back inside.

@@X9Unsponsored yeah i think you’re probably right and that’s a good way to be. There’s more than enough people out there saying people need a 1k scope to shoot pop cans twice a year. The gun forums get really bad, they clown on people if they can’t afford a 2k rifle . I’m a believer of you get what you pay for and I’m well aware a 1k scope is going to be more clear but it’s not like my cheap optics have the glass made from a milk jug.

@@itsamk18-ish exactly. If you really want the masses to be armed then you will look into what is the best options for a budget which most Americans require. The only thing I can't do is get people to the range more because that is a limiting factor for most people. One thing I do believe most people should budget for is nightvision. It is a purchasable superpower and every person with a rifle needs it.

@@X9Unsponsored i was going to say that i think if more people had access to a good range they would go shooting more. A lot of people online say if they had a range they could actually practice at they would shoot more. The range i go to is awesome,i have 3 buddies that are into guns,i goto the range atleast once a month i invite them everytime and they might go once or twice a year. One of my buddies is currently carrying a gun he has never shot before… well he has a new carry gun I’m not sure how much he actually Carries it lol. I’m working on a NV fund, it’s been kind of hard to justify cause i have no where i can shoot at night. That’s the only downside of the range i goto,I’ve even asked if i could do low light training before,i told him I’d shoot suppressed but he said no. I can go hiking in the dark but running around with a gun in the dark with nods probably wouldn’t be good 😂

@@itsamk18-ish atleast you have people to train with because this is hard to find. With nightvision even just getting some reps in doing things in the dark is beneficial.
