Not an issue with the 45 version of the 220. Must be something with 10mm from what I’ve seen

So, the question is, are cosmetics more important than having an otherwise excellent pistol? Do you think that a little chipped sera-coat will in any way downgrade the performance of the gun? I do agree that, based upon what you've told us, SIG should've treated you better as a customer. Their attitude, after replacing a part for you, and considering the feedback and reviews they usually receive on the 220, might be that there would probably be nothing else they could do to please you. For myself, your criticism is not sufficient to discourage me from considering the purchase of the 220 pistol in 10mm. Thanks for your opinion.

Sig has always had issues with their PVD, later changed to cerakote coatings. I've accepted the fact that this will happen. Even with other firearms on the market with other so called protective coatings, there will be some chipping, especially near the ejection port.

Oh no, my 10mm isn’t pretty anymore…..it shoots great, it’s an awesome weapon, I’ve got it and a dozen other Sigs, I carry it for bear defense and I don’t care if she’s not as pretty when I married her

I've had nothing but good luck with my legion and I bought it used I have no problems with the finish on it

I bought the Stainless Elite SAO, and its awesome. I am sorry that you went through that. Sig needs to back its product and fix the issues. Sorry that happen.

I have the same issue with my 220 10mm after just 50rds through it. If they would have milled the slide at an angle behind the extractor like that of the 320 X-ten they would not have this issue. I have not had the same issue on my 226 or 229 and have a lot of rounds through them.

It sucks to hear their shitty response. I have the 229 legion, maybe approaching the 500 round mark and have zero chipping, or marks. I wonder if something is wrong with their batch of curing on the coating or if it’s a 10mm issue. Either way good luck with it, they do shoot great.

I have the SAO version of this gun and the same chipping on it, I just accepted it but it would be nice if it didn't throw the brass 30 feet.

I have 9, NINE, Sig Legion pistols andover 50 Sig's. Ihave NEVER hadthis happen. Sig is without a doubt the best customer service Ihave ever used. You customer service isssues??---try Dan Wesson, worst in the business.
