The single best way to show a game's delay I may have ever seen. Ties into the concept of the trailer seamlessly. Been really looking forward to this and can't wait to live out the Oldboy hall fight in Sifu eventually.

@Orange Guy Most indie studios weren't affected by Covid, a majority of them were doing remote workloads pre-pandemic, the only ones that Covid affected majorly were the office space AAA or sometimes even the double AA pushing studios, when I worked with and for Xbox in the Microsoft College Campus we had a lot of indie developers that would contract us out as their testers and we'd get a work load that would last anywhere from 1-4 weeks usually and it was usually all remote and their staff if they had any would also be remote from the team/project leader. That being said, game making is incredibly difficult and it's like throwing goo at a wall constantly and seeing what sticks! Usually, I would only see games in various forms of 'completion' but when certain departments are working on a game they're only seeing a slice of the game until they slap everything together and more often than not that creates a whole boat load of problems and bugs, very rarely does something ever come together that doesn't have an issue. So it's really awesome to see when a developer pushes for more time in the oven and a publisher agrees, we all end up winning in the end when a solid game comes out.

Best martial arts game I've ever seen. Can't wait. *Update* A lot of people saying Sleeping Dogs, Yakuza blah blah. I have played all these and I still think Sifu's fighting looks a lot better. It just looks very smooth. Sleeping Dogs was great and the best martial arts game currently but it is old and Sifu is probably gonna take over.

This is one of the most bold confident ways to delay a game. I aged 5 years when I saw the new date. Sad but patient. Well...kinda patient.

Now I will admit that Lo Lieh (the original actor to play these guys) was Bak Mei in Fist of the White Lotus the movie to debut the deadly 7 paces palm move which is definitley the basis of Pai Mei's 5 point palm exploding heart technique. BUT after Kill Bill (which payed enough respect to the lore for me to count as canon), it is clear that the most recent and modern White Lotus priest was indeed Pai Mei depicted none other by Gordon Liu who defeated the last white lotus priest Bak Mei. This Pai Mei, had the 5 point palm exploding heart technique, Bak Mei was the 7 paces palm. So its Pai Mei I mean.

I'm in my early 50's and a Judo Black Belt. There is no way he could fight like that, at that age, if his body has had all those years of combat. I make a groaning noise even when I get out of a chair. Lol. Nice to see some great Judo moves though.

This game needs Outfit/character Creator customization,so that everytime you walk into an environment you live out your inner martial Arts Fantasy by being able to dress up as BRUCE LEE,JACKIE CHAN,UNDERCOVER BROTHER and BLACK DYNAMITE,JUPITER MOON or DBZ Characters like Goku,Vegeta or Android 18.

Sleeping Dogs is my top favorite game and Sifu looks hella impressive. Day 1 for me.

There has to be, I suppose. Then again, there are still a number of martial arts practitioners (e.g. Okinawan karatekas and Filipino eskrimadores) who've retained their strength, agility and speed despite their advanced age. I just hope that the titular "sifu" of the game won't be too OP'ed.

Maybe your moveset will be more advanced at the cost of stats? Your physical prime will be somewhere 25-35. You’ll be able to take more hits and hit harder but the moveset may be simple.

This has some Jackie Chan Stuntmaster vibes. Love it. I was so tired of the "dramatic over the shoulder 3rd person shooter walking simulator" cliche, I'm actually hopeful for this new era of gaming.

@@ecao86 they're clearly going for semi realistic martial arts experience. so the sound effects makes sense for this game. it doesn't need an over the top bone crunching sounds effects.

We have to support this game, because the sequel will be 10X better

Looks a lot like Absolver which was actually really fun. Might have to keep an eye on this one.

No one's talking about Sleeping dogs? How that game nailed h2h like 10 years ago. If this game have even half of the movesets then it's worth a buy.
