Refreshing to engage in detailed gameplay/combat. When every attack landed has a diverse reaction. Too many games nowadays seem not to include those details.

Love the way this game looks, a long list of moves and the interaction with the environment and objects around you is amazing. I hope more studios bring out fighting games like this

@@rileysevern1968 yeah to recreate some of the fights from the Netflix series would be great. Its just with superhero games the superpowers come into play. I just want something like Streets of Rage or Final Fight.

Yeah I know what you mean, back in the PS2 era there was this fighting game called urban reign that I used to love that one and the warriors, I wish fighting games like that would make a come back, you know just running around the streets beating gangsters up with your hand, it’s cool asf!

100% on my buy list. Growing up watching Jackie, Bruce, Jet and Donnie, this game speaks to me like a long lost brother. February can’t come soon enough!

@@duvrid well I strongly recommend Kena: Bridge of spirits, hades, fist, disco Elysium, The pathless and cuphead!! Might be some I forgot, but these are 100% worth checking out!

I hope theirs an endless mode so I can just fight all day and also different arenas

Combat looks fluid with the unique close up authenticity like no other game except Absolver the previous predecessor to Sifu, also made by Sloclap, and it looks like you can choose to play as a female protagonist based off the gameplay, neat!

I can see the Absolver movements like how he dodges and jumps

@@FreshPrincex4 Eh. I wouldn't necessarily say that. He had his movies that definitely had that feel, but it's really just pure martial arts. Pure self defense, using whatever you can to survive.

@@BooyahAmigos definitely I already had this preordered anyway as it’s only £30ish (I got the deluxe one for £35) & I’ll likely preorder Elden ring in the new year. I’m just glad I now have a couple weeks to play it instead of a couple days.

The "balance" mechanic reminds me of Sekiro's "posture" mechanic.

Things have been looking up for Combat in games. Love that we are getting intricate fight mechanics instead of pressing punch and hitting multiple people at once. Now all I want is a Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee game Sony

If anyone is curious, the fighting style used by the main character is called Pak Mei, or in English, White Eyebrow. This style of kung fu focuses on powerful hand strikes and counterattacks, though as we've seen in the trailers so far, anything goes when you get in a brawl.

Can't wait to play this! I'm getting strong Sleeping Dogs vibes from it.

This game is definitely shaping up to be perfectly flawless. I CANNOT WAIT TO FINALLY PLAY IT!! This game gives me “Sleeping Dogs” and “Jet Li Rise to Honor” vibes

I think I screamed when I saw the controller layout. Seeing that move list is getting me pumped, and that's gotta be a small portion of all the moves you'll be able to get. Gameplay is looking stellar. Loving the level score/style points on the side. This and Midnight Fight Express are getting hundreds of hours clocked in next year...
