Maybelle Carter is smiling down on you Sierra!
What gets me is that this is all in one take. You never fumbled a word or a note. You’re a true professional.

Very true. It’s so much more difficult to do a recording with video, because you have to perfect in presentation on both accounts. What gets me is that this video has 74k views in 6 days. Lord knows she deserves them all, but it’s so interesting that they came on this product demo video, rather than her hundreds of other original songs and arrangements. Good ole KZread algorithm.

When I hear Sierra play, I feel the same way I felt when I first heard Bela Fleck play back in 1983. What a breath of fresh air to this traditional music we all love so much.

Wow 👌. I have never heard the "Wildwood Flower " played like that before. That was totally beautiful ⚘️
Never heard that song played that well in 65 years! Sierra is so fluid and creative! That guitar sounds so mid-range punchy, in a good way, with that mahogany warmth and roundness.

One of the 1st songs I learned 55 years ago. I have never been able to make it sound so good. Thanks for that beautiful rendition.
This is one of my mother’s favorite songs. Not sure why the algorithm sent this to me but it sure brought back a lot of memories from 50 years ago, when I was a young lad... Thanks for that...

My Father's, as well! It was always his first and only request when I had a guitar around him.
When I practice my instrument this is the musician I want to emulate. Thank you Sierra Hull for all you do.

Just got a palor Taylor. Will start lessons next week.
I Love the way you modulate Sierra. It's such a beautiful song and the way you lift the melody up, just intensifies the beauty each step of the way.
I stopped in to hear Wildwood Flower. I can remember years ago my grandpa playing that quiet often because that was one of the few songs he knew how to play.
Hell of a job lady!!! I bet you don't even know how inspirational you are even to someone on the wrong side of seventy that has just started playing, thank you.
Unbelivable!! double modulation without missing a note, and that ending lick.... I gonna slow down the video and spend the rest of the day (or year) learning it
Thank you Ms. Sierra...for giving us a small point of light and happiness in this VERY crazy time in history. Your talent is touch of Gods work!❤👍

This was one of the first songs I learned from my father when I was very young. Thank you so much for reminding me where I came from. Your arrangement of this is wonderful.
Your talent is beyond words! I’ve watched many of your mandolin videos and now I’m blown away by your mastery of the guitar! You are a natural performer!
Totally blown away by you every time...our styles of playing may be worlds apart but you inspire me! Thank you

Tempo and smoothness. The practice she must have put into that piece to have it appear effortless. So cleanly presented - just beautiful.

The genius of this woman is a gift that keeps on giving. Every video and recording brings something new into the world.
seamless playing that just takes us all along for the ride .... wonderful ... thank you
There are angels in those fingers. OMG your playing is a gift.
Most beautiful version I have ever heard! Many thanks Sierra. ❤️
Mother Maybelle would be proud. Classy rendition of a classic.
Love that smile when you play, people tell me they can tell I enjoy playing my Accordion by the look on my face. You did great!
Lovely Sierra. Any guitar in your hand is magical. I'm an ardent admirer of your skill, talent and dedication. Keep it up.
I'm a huge fan of parlour guitars... literally. People tease me about my tiny guitars and how I look like a giant holding them. I shall not cave to peer pressure! This one has such a full sound. Lovely!

Got myself a cheap Gretsch Jim Dandy as my first parlour, out of curiosity mainly.. love playing it, though it has a very different sound to this lovely PRS obviously!
Incredible, tasteful shredding! None of that felt overly showy or crammed in. Just lovely!
Pure magic. Melts my heart . Thanks a lot Sierra
Wow beautiful version of wildwood flower I've heard for a long time!!Love your music!!
Thanks for posting. Love that tune. You packed a lot of music into that recording.
One of (if not the) most gifted musicians on the planet! I never tire of watching this video.
Holy moly! You are a fantastic player... flatpicking is an art form and you have truly mastered it. Thank you so much, very enjoyable.

the first time I saw you play I was hooked...God has given you such talent. I watched you play mandolin ... You were like lightning. I started the show over twice . Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world.
Pick that thing girl! Good job, a wonderful song to hear on quarantine retired Thursday. Thank you 🙏.
Always thought of you as a shredding mandolin player, no surprise you’re a shredding guitar player!! Chops for days!!
What in the world.... What a blessing you are! That was so very sweet and leave it to you to take an old standard and turn it into an eclectic masterpiece.....
Wow! I had become jaded about that tune. I would just kind of wince hearing the first notes cause it is so often played. Thanks for giving it a whole new feel and sound. That guitar is beautiful! Love the birds inlaid on the fretboard.
I can’t believe there are any dislikes , much less over 50. Remember this Sierra..........you’re sensational, and haters are just jealous.

Very beautiful! Great playing and a great sound!!!
My grandmother's favorite song she always asked me to play for her. Just amazing
Gorgeous playing and you just bring sunshine wherever you play.
It’s like the first video I saw you in, playing with Alison Krauss. After your solo you give the biggest smile to say, I aced it. You did it again here. The guitar looks comfortable in your hands.
Sounds soft and lovely.
Seirra takes a great ol' classic and makes it even better! Pure pleasure.
I love creative variations of this song. Bob Minner's has been one of my favorites and now this is up there too. Thank you for sharing.
Finally someone who can play the instrument , great demo
If I thought that guitar would make me sound that good, I’d buy one in a heartbeat. No, nice sounding instrument, but it’s the hands of the master that matter.

Your first statement is what probably crosses everyone's mind. I think Guitar World should've definintley *given* her the guitar after this, don't ya think?
Lady, you make an old boy smile. Lovely tone from that guitar.
God has surely blessed you Sierra. That and your years of hard work. It was a beautiful version of the song. Thank you.
No wonder Sturgill has you play on everything!
This is so good it's aggravating.
One of the first songs I learned to play when I was a kid back in the 70s trying to keep up with my dad lol. Almost choked me up. Beautiful guitar and smooth playing
That was a joy to listen to! Thank you Sierra.
Great sound, and lovely playing. Never really gave PRS acoustics a second glance before, but this one has got me interested. Very affordable, sounds sweet, and perfect for toting around for jam sessions.

As always, amazingly beautiful and flawless playing! Love your music and talent
What an amazing player you are, no mistakes, so accurate and clean, perfect flat picking.
Guitar sounds great and the playing is excellent. I'm gonna get one.
I’m just here to listen and watch cause she’s so dang purdy!! 😳
Lovely tone - complex, and fairly soft. It's very refreshing to hear a small guitar with such a sweet tone. Beautifully played, or course by Sierra, who is a great musician. This guitar is now on my shopping list..!
Nice job . I use to play this classic tune in a rock / country band . It was fun and no matter where we performed at it was recognized by the audience with a bit of two-stepping on the dance floor . Long live the many versions played by countless bands to pay homage to the Carter Family and the "Wildwood Flower " . 04/10/2022
Beeeeauuuutiful! Love your playing.
This is beautiful 🔥I love how you play.
Your timing on this piece is perfect spot on, every note, perfect! Nice job 👍
What a way to start my day! A beautiful gal playing a fresh rendition of a classic Bluegrass piece on a sweet guitar! It doesn't get any better!! Thank you!
Nice rendition! I'm working on my own take of this right now. What fun!
LOVE YOU SIERRA!!
One of my favorite ones from way back in the day when my grandpa played on the front porch Ty for bring back some great memories 💋👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Simply AMAZING... such a beautiful sound..
Very inspiring, what a great version!
A breath of fresh air you totally are.
Bar far the best arrangement and performance of this song. Huge talent.
This was great! I remember my dad recording the song "The Best Guitar Picker" (written by Jack Clements, sung by country singer George Jones) around 1962, from our wireless onto his reel to reel tape recorder. I was only 6 and I loved the song. In the song, Jones sings about "Wildwood Flower" & this is the first time I've heard anyone play just the actual tune. The verse that stuck in my head was "I would sit there by the hour, pickin' wildwood flower, wore my little fingers to the bone, well I said I will never rest, til" I am the very best, the best guitar picker in this old county. When I saw this video I had to watch.
I'm hearing you for the first time. Sweet technique and composition, Sierra. Very nice. You keep the listener guessing what's coming next. :^) I especially liked your glissandos. Very graceful.
Lovely guitar work. Hope the new year is kind to you all.

Nice picking. I like the arrangement!
You're awesome and you make that guitar sound good.
Wow I don't have the words...just wow. That's talent right there👍
Fabulous rendition truly virtuosic. Never tire listening to her faultless playing. Truly inspiring
As a brilliant mandolinist you are one of my favorite guitarists.
It all comes back to the Carter family.
Absolutely loved the tune!!! Happy New Year Sierra from Palermo, Italy
Beautiful arrangement; I love that you modulated up so it is in C, then D, and then E! Awesome playing!

Seemingly effortless... but not! You just make it look easy. Beautiful as usual!👍
I just love that she plays and she loves it a lot and the way she enjoys playing and the way she keeps getting better at it and the way she looks so gorgeous playing.. She's a legend and I know it ❤️
That was beautiful! Especially the chord progressions you used in the last key change. It's as if you wrote the song. Beautiful!
I could listen to you talk all day, between your wonderful guitar playing. Thanks for the cloud burst with rays of the sun.
We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy! Please teach me thy way of the six string lute, Sierra. 😝
Sierra, please do some lessons with a theoretical emphasis. All these modulations and stuff you might have picked up during your Berklee tenure! Happy New Year!
Sierra, I am blown away with your arrangement of "Wildwood Flower" and that parlor guitar you were playing was outstanding. I listen to you on You Tube when I can, but you are always playing mandolin and that is great as well!
Sierra, I'm 64 and when I grow up I wanna be just like you. lol You're amazing. Saw you live a few years ago in New Hampshire and I will never forget the experience. Bless you dear one!
