Being in a relationship doesn't mean you can't SA someone. SA doesn't mean only single people can be victims. Sienna talking about all the blurred lines and rejection sounds like a very stressful and confusing time for a teenager, no doubt. But it doesn't excuse her from the fact that Jack was clearly unconscious in that video. He still felt violated because he wasn't okay with that interaction. He didn't give consent. So even if he kissed her multiple times on/off camera is okay because it was consensual! He was aware of those times. The problem arises when one person doesn't consent to a sexual interaction but it is still forced upon that person! THAT is SA! That is a crime! That is invasive!

Absolutely. If anything, that does a disservice to WOC. For one thing, it perpetuates the narrative that WOC (or POC in general) are irrational and dangerous. Second, it implies that WOC are above consequences for bad behavior- which indirectly validates the first problem, because excusing bad behavior based on one’s identity implies that you *expect* people in that group to behave that way. Either way… that attitude is so damn racist. (And yes, to anyone reading this- you can absolutely be a POC who is racist. Self-hating racism is still racism.) Edit, since this thread is gatekeeping race: y’all, IDGAF if she’s 2% Hispanic, 40% Martian, and 1,547% clown. As far as white culture is concerned, she’s still “the other.” Especially since she does not “pass” for white. She’s a POC- doesn’t matter what percent *anything* she is.

Its gross how she is victimizing herself. About killing herself, SA etc. It's harmful to victims and survivors and those left behind. I cannot express how hurt I am to see how she writes, how she says she's sorry, yet in the same sentence throws her whole apology out of the window by saying ''but I did it unknowingly'', not knowing what you did at that point will never be a relevant excuse. If someone brings up what you did, that's the moment you know what you did wrong, the moment you get to change your behavior, by hanging on to the ''sorry I didn't know at the time'' is just absolute bullcrap...

@Cora Yes that is true. But less than 5 % (depending on the country and study) of SA victims ever go to the police at all, of those few percent, a considerable amount will not get prosecuted, and less than 1% (again, depending on country and studies) will be found guilty and even less of them will get a considerable amount of jailtime at all. So since male victims with female perpetrators do have even less of a public and legal standing than female victims, it doesn't work out to wish that "female ra p ists need to get the same punishment as male r a pists" because neither of the two is likely to be facing jailtime at all for their crimes. So we need to thoroughly reform our criminal systems and how society is talking about SA, regardless of gender. The myths about SA that are still so prevalent in law enforcement and general society, that have been debunked countless times, need to stop existing. There has to be better support and protection for the victims. Regardless of gender but wary of the gender stereotypes and social scripts that can help SA to take place.

Straight up. If she was a good person and truly was remorseful and didn’t understand boundaries she outta apologize none the less… the fact that she said all she said in her response to everything shows she doesn’t have any remorse or intends on taking any accountability. After all , he manipulated her and confused her into thinking there was a future between them right ? Makes it okay to assult someone whe they’re passed out, she was confusssed…🙄 lol although he had told her many times they are just friends lmao she sucks

I’ve had a complicated relationship with my ex like theirs. We were fwbs (we were 17 going on 18) but he said he loved and ended up using me for s** and material things. It broke me ofc (I’m 19 now) but we were teens and emotionally immature and couldn’t establish proper boundaries but it doesn’t give either of us the right to emotionally, mentally or sexually abuse. Teen love (really older teens like 16-19) is complicated we’ve seen it with Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua. It can break us but it still doesn’t give anyone the right to hurt someone sexually.

Maybe we should take a step back and look at the whole picture. The stress that these famous teenagers go through should be illegal. No adult should ask a child, should pressure a child in publicly announcing if they are in a relationship or not. Every individual is responsible for their own acction, but I wonder if the pressure on their relationship wasnt so high and if they were a bit older, would the alleged assault still have happened? That being said, sexual assault is inexcusable, disgusting and sad and should be punished. My heard goes out to the victims❤
