Eva, now that you are much older, you are so blessed to have had parents that protected you not just from boys at that age but also girls that maybe toxic for their daughter to hang out with as well. There are a lot of moms out there that may not always see the signs and red flags of their daughter’s female friends. A lot of high school girls are able to manipulate their way into things and people they want to impress. I think a great way for parents to see the signs is noticing the changes in their daughters behavior and how comfortable and at herself she feels around them.

A nice thing that my friend did is when I was diagnosed with depression she made a habit to text me everyday. I especially need it now.

My group of best friends (4) arranged a gift hunt for my 13th birthday and it was so fun, we worked our way across town to find the gifts and further clues and I had 23 gifts by the end of it, it was an amazing day! Also they always have my back no matter what! I'm so grateful ♥

I was so naive like this in to my early 20's and this was flashing me back to so many awful girls walking all over me and using me. I lived alone in a cute 2 bedroom loft and worked full time and fell into so many of these traps. It hurt so bad. I just wanted peace and to be happy. Best move ever? Cutting ties 100% and washing my hands of anyone that ever broke that peace on purpose. People make mistakes and you don't leave friends for that, but this kinda shady awful stuff is not a mistake!!! They act like that on purpose and they don't care! Those people have no place in your life and you have to stand up and say "No! This is not for me." and stick to your decision when they try to put you down for saying "no". So sorry this happened to you 😓 but so happy you moved on!!! 😊🌺

This felt so good to hear from another person...I had one for seven years and wasn't able to break free of her until I graduated middle school. In the beginning, she was my best friend (and a bully), then traded me for a new *cool* friend for two years. In the last three, she used me. She was very good at making herself seem innocent and would go on and on about how she was going through depression and was suicidal just so people would come up and feel bad for her. Me and my friends couldn't turn her in since there was no "real" evidence of her using us, and the teachers believed her too. She ruined my childhood, and nearly convinced me the new girl had bullied her. (She's one of my best friends now). Sorry, this was intended as a short comment but I got carried away...stay safe and stay strong

Her natural hair is actually super curly but now she keeps straightening her hair and u can see it is so dry and damaged again :( its sad cuz the main reason she started to use wigs was to protect her hair

I could really relate to Eva I had this who used me for a year and a half, and we had a huge fight, in the end, she said a lot of mean things that broke my heart, my parents never liked her, but I always supported and apart from that I always tried to help her, but in end I was heartbroken, so choose your friends wisely and listen to your parents when they say your friends aren't good.
