This is my favorite aspect of Crosby’s game. The way he fends off defenders to protect the puck is just amazing, and it’s really what separates himself from everyone else in the league. Truly the goat.

@Night City Patrick Kane is also excellent in this regard but he does it in a different way than Crosby; relying on his stick handling and quickness. I think they are the top two best players in the league at slowing things down around them, creating time and space to make plays.

I'm not sure about GOAT but he's definitely top 10 of all time. What I find so unique about his play style is that he's part sniper, part grinder, part power forward... and he switches into those modes as the situation warrants, with ease. It's also kind if cool that he's in Gretzky's Office but only for a few seconds and only to get separation or to setup a shot. He's a phenom!

Got to admit I don't watch Hockey as much as I used to but one thing's for sure, Crosby IS STILL The GOAT! MMA fighters take months to go to war! Crosby has been doing it for 15 years, 82 games a season ( minus injuries )!

That pretty much sums up the Mcdavid vs Crosby head to head thing for me. I saw that as it happened (live) and was just floored. I remember saying 'holy shit!' as he celebrated.

He’s a gentleman too. Private, well spoken. Says a lot about a leader. 🙏🏻🇨🇦❤️

Wings fan here.. but I can definitely appreciate the amount of work that shows out each and every game he plays.. incredible edge work.. that and many aspects of his game is what separates him from the rest.. much respect.

Golden Knights fan here. Watching Crosby's edgework which is a thing of beauty. And as someone who's always liked figure skating, it is not even a comparison when you look at the skills of Crosby, McDavid, and others who show such beauty on the ice. I love hockey, but the skating is what captures me.

YES!!!!! I don't think someone can be a true hockey fan unless they at least like and appreciate this guy. How can one claim to be a fan yet ignore or reject the most beautiful and skilled way it's every been played? There is a living legend on the ice. To fail to appreciate that is a disgrace.

You make the best Crosby videos. It really shows that you put a lot of work into it.

I watched this song three years ago before a game and I’ve always looked up to Crosby because of this video and look where it’s got me playing exactly how he does with insane edges and absolutely beautiful backhand the one hand protection and the ankle breaking abilities. I’m watching this 3 years later now

BUT in fairness Sid is probably the greatest "Captain" and 200' player that the pens have had since Ronny Francis (Mario is, was, and always be the greatest hockey player that I have ever witnessed) but in the regular season 66 thought back checking was a waste of his time

What a god .. I could watch this all day and still be amazed at how incredible and complete he is !

Good work kid, about the only channel who actually appreciates, recognizes, and presents the work and overall skill/talent that Crosby has. You really show how good of a player he is. Keep up the work! You are spectacular and a phenomenal observer.

The way I see it his puck control paired with protection and skating, he completely manipulates the game to the way he wants and is why he is so good at making anyone he plays with look good.

I'm hype for the next hockey season. I'm a new fan since my home team, the Tampa Bay Lightning, won back-to-back Stanley Cups. The first game of the season is on my birthday AND it's a home game AND it's against the Pittsburgh Penguins, so I'm going to get to watch my champion home team play against this guy. I'm stoked.

Sidney is the GOAT in my opinion. He can literally do everything. Shoot, pass, skate, stickhandle, hit. Still he is so humble and don't take anything for granted. A true Hall of famer.

McDavid might have speed, Ovechkin might have an amazing shot but nobody compares to Crosby in terms of all around skill imo. I also think he's the strongest skater in the NHL. If he goes down with the puck then you know he's gonna do something to make a play out of it. He's always been my favorite hockey player. People might call him a cry baby but with the amount of injuries he had throughout his career its amazing that he's still able to come back and play at the same level of skill he was at before.

@@SimplyJorgasmic He plays a different, much more advanced and much faster game with far less time and space. Their IQ is impossible to compare. There is no version of Gretzky - 1982, 87, 91, 94, or 97 - that would hold a candle to Sid in real life, in any era of hockey. Those are facts.
