Side Table Flip | Romantic Style side table furniture flip using Lily Moon Paint
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Today I am doing a side table flip. I am using Lily Moon Paint to flip these side tables. I very much enjoyed working with this paint. The texture was nice and the paint was easy to apply with a high-quality brush. I love the neutral colors that I chose so much I will be using them again in the future.

Sometimes when I’m watching flippers do paint washes I’m just not too sure about the look. After you did the first application I was really hesitant. But you kept wiping it back and I was really liking it more. Then, you said you were adding another coat. I was like Nooooooo😫😫😫. Lol! But honestly they turned out so so nice! I really love the two tones. I really like paint washes, but usually I like a “fainter” coverage. Otherwise if you go with too many coats it doesn’t look “washed” anymore. I really should just know better with you! Everything you do I absolutely end up loving!! Another great job Amy!👍🏻♥️♥️
Beautiful colour 👍
Omg!!! I’m working on one just like this one ❤I can’t wait to finish it today.

Wonderful
Amy, this was perfect timing! We were just talking about a top that we sanded and wanted to paint wash but were worried about bleed. We even discussed if it would work to use Boss! You answered our question without us even asking!😀😀 The side tables are awesome!

Thats awesome! I can't wait to see how it turns out!!😊
You can take a wire brush & going with the grain of the wood you can clean out any dirt & gunk & it will bring out the grain in the wood, then when you do a stain or a wash you can see the grain so much better. It is called cerouse. I could have spelled that wrong, but it is a process that is really great on wood that is being stained or washed.
I love love these tables. The shade of taupe/beige is my favorite. Thank you for the eye 🍬 candy.
I’m truly obsessed with that paint color. It’s so soft and beautiful. It fits these tables just perfectly.

Hello Amy. I just said oh, those side tables are very nice, pretty! You did a fabulous job girl with your new paint.🥰👍
I always use a small wood burner for details
Very pretty set of tables Amy. I love the colors you chose and the rose gold hardware is perfect! I'm curious to see how another piece comes out with this new paint. It does appear to just glide on!🌷
I have the same set of side tables but mine have a removable stone top. I’m doing mine in a dove grey with a black top
I am going to have to check out that paint. It looks beautiful on those tables. I didn't think that the whitewash would complement the bottom of the tables, but it certainly has. Well done.
Gorgeous tables Amy! That paint is lovely.

Love your dog. Should have done the edges of the top with a little of what you used on the hardware. Very nice job.

Hi Barry! Thank you😊 I have to admit that It took me a little while to get the hang of it, but when I did, I could see where it would be relaxing. I used it again this week. I took my time and enjoyed the process. Thanks again for your help!

They came out so pretty. Is the color on the bottom tan/ taupe or a blush pink? It’s hard to tell.
So feminine ❤️
Did you shellac the tables before stripping them? I'm confused. Or did you only seal the under parts on the table? They turned out beautiful!
@FlipItFurniture

I only used shellac on the bottom: I striped and sanded the top then added a primer before paint to lock in the tannins.

@@FlipItFurniture Thanks for the clarification! I thought that is what you did.

@@FlipItFurniture did you use shellac inside the drawer to get rid of smell?
Since the top was sealed with 2 coats of shellac, why was it necessary to seal again with the boss?
