There are some awesome gems on their first few albums but imo they finally found their sound with LTBR. LTBR and Powerage are my favorite for the Bon era and I think the Vanda/Young production has that raw intensity that seemed kost with the following Mutt records as good as they were. I do love Aint No Fun and half of the other songs off Dirty Deeds. I want to add that I wish Rock in Peace and Jailbreak were on the US versions. I love both those songs.

Great show. Living in Australia I didn’t know they had different versions for overseas. Seems strange why they did this. Problem Child doesn’t belong on Let There Be Rock.

I guess acdc eventually fell in to a formula with highway to hell and mutt langes influence which makes the early bon scott stuff curiously interesting. They had extended guitar solos, more jammy type songs and a lot of blues shuffles. After dirty deeds they kinda ditched the bluesy stuff and went full on hard rock.

Martin brings a point I always thought about Dirty Deeds, there's some "regression" compared to High Voltage international/TNT, because while the change from High Voltage to TNT they got heavier, from TNT to Dirty Deeds it's more of the same. This makes Dirty Deeds my second to last less favourite Bon Scott era album.

I agree with you, Dirty Deeds kinda' felt like a rushed album, they were touring a lot and had to put something out so you get a lot of blues jams in the studio.

Dirty Deeds was their 3rd studio album in 12 months which is pretty crazy when you think about it. The Australian version is better because of Jailbreak being there and the International version has some sort of reverb or effect on it that I don't care for. Squealer is my favorite song from them, the lead playing by Angus is better than anything i've heard from anyone, it's just incredible
