Though he has skillfully rendered this murattu keerthani (in our guru's words) somehow well, from a person who has learnt many styles of world music and is a established cine playback singer I expect a still clear rendition of this unique Dikshithar krithis. It lacks sahithya thelivu and sangathi nuances. The best example of cine singer rendering carnatic krithi more excellantly than a seasoned carnatic singer is Janakiamma singing mohana kalyani song bhuvaneswarya in Mareyada Hadu.

Very talented young man. My opinion - the violin was too strong to hear the clarity of the sahitya since his voice is a bit thinner in the upper octaves. Also a general comment that such weighty kritis of Shri Dikshitar don't need the percussion show. Just a serious ghana-based mishrachapu would bring the focus to the sahitya!
Terrible rendition! And I don’t know what was wrong with the accompanists to say ah ha for such a bad delivery!

Accompanied artists are elders to Sid and naturally appreciating.
If brindamma and Ms amma heard this sankarabharanam they would commit suicide, NO DOUBT his voice is so cracky and lacks sruti alignment feel like vomiting.
