Saw him play this live a few weeks ago. Other than having it mounted on a stand rather than holding it, it was pretty much just like the video.

Yeah, in an interview he said that the instrument is super heavy, so that’s why he doesn’t hold it anymore.

I also saw him do this live, Nov 2022, fuckin amazing

Steve Vai used to take guitar lessons from Joe Satriani I think that’s why he’s so good at playing guitar years of shredding and learning about different types of music from different countries has broaden his horizon also I think he really went to Boot Camp when he was with Frank zapper😅😅😅

Steve or Eddie Van Halen would be the only two guitar players that could do something amazing like this. I'm sure you know Steve played with David Lee Roth after Van Halen split up. Steve has said himself in several interviews that he idolized Eddie

Love Steve Vai…been a fan since the Flexible Album came out! Seen him at least 9-10 times…various events! Great showmanship here, but I am not a big fan of this song!
