Cats don't jump from a standing position, they usually jump from a sit or at the very least, a squat (unless they're running into the jump).

It's crazy how much cats react and train to just affection. My cat has learned a lot of commands and the only things he's ever asked for in return is pets. No way a dog will learn in the same way without food as an incentive.

My cats run when they hear me sweeping up broken dishes. When I make it to them with the flyswatter, they act like innocent puppies. I hear water guns are effective in preventing cat malice, but I can't afford an entire fire engine with high-pressure hoses?

I did this with my cat when he was very young. He was so eager to chase this stick I dragged over the grass, that I could move it over his head so he would follow it performing a backflip. In recent years he became less and less agile until he couldn't climb the couch anymore. But he was still happy, following us all day like the little dog he was deep inside. He passed away two weeks ago, this reminds me of him.

@@emmy342 can confirm, personally. My roommate's Siberian cat definitely requires quite a bit of attention. And when she wants it she usually screams. And she does it *a lot*. She's pretty chatty in general. She would also bring her favourite toy to you when she wants to play with it.

I agree, The lack of records in the 1940's also has me flipping out, very good point kitty!

THIS is why the internet exists. I've never seen a cat do that purposely but now I have.

It's nearly impossible for a cat to get injured from jumping off a skyscraper. Roughly 3-7 stories is the only fall they'll take damage from, as any higher allows them time to flatten out and decelerate

Yeah, to my experience Siberan cat breeds are the smartest. They have kinda big head, probably bigger brain to compute stuff. Also they are very sociable, which means they desire to communicate, which means they eager to learn stuff to communicate better.
