Sialendoscopy Procedure for Parotid Gland Stones, Explained By Dr. Ryan F. Osborne

Ғылым және технология

Dr. Ryan Osborne specializes in the non-surgical removal of salivary gland stones causing swelling and infection of the major salivary glands.
This is accomplished through a minimally invasive outpatient endoscopic procedure called sialendoscopy that requires no surgical incisions, leaves no scars, and carries a zero percent risk of facial nerve paralysis. He is one of a handful of surgeons in the world that have championed the use sialendoscopy for the safe removal of salivary gland stones, avoiding invasive surgical procedures that are quickly becoming seen as archaic and obsolete by this new technique.

I have dealt with parotid stones for 13 years. I have multiple stones bilaterally. In the past 2 years my swellings have become almost bimonthly and hopefully my CT scan from this morning will dictate what my ENT will do next-it’s time for something more aggressive than just moist heat and lemon drops. 😢

Let me introduce myself, my name is Eddy, I live in Indonesia, I have suffered from parotid disease for more than 10 years, one thing that makes me not dare to undergo surgery is because I think about the side effects of oral nerve defects, but by watching this video I feel like I have hope for the future. the front is better. If only I had the money to come to your country and be able to get treatment with advanced techniques like that

I had cysts surgically removed one year ago, together with reconstructive surgery. I now have new cysts. My surgeon does not recommend surgery but a sialendoscopy to inject steroids to reduce inflammation and allow the cysts to resolve. Any suggestions?
