Sia used to rehearse in my lounge room in Glenelg, Adelaide with her amazing band, Crisp. She was always a total joy to be around and laugh with. Id love to see her again one day as my daughters now listen to her brilliant music and they are amazed when I mention, she was a friend of mine. Sia was nothing but a true delight and pleasure to everyone that surrounded her after gigs and she always made time to chat to everyone. That not true. There's hundreds of thousands of comments on KZread who ask what she looks like, even people are asking on her new video for "Alive". Some even think she's the people in the video, like the girl in "Guts over Fear" and even Maddie. Most people don't look her up, only people who are bothered by it will. She doesn't get followed when she goes in public either. She was gonna quit doing her own music and just write for others, but David Guetta put her vocals on "Titanium"without her permission. Then later she was bothered for half a year to sing in "Wild Ones". She finally said yes, but asked to not have her named credited in "Wild Ones", but they took it as a joke and did it anyways. That's basically why she's like this, so she can go in public without being noticed. It's working seeing how she goes into public without being noticed most of the time.

Because she didn't even understand that she has a problem with fame, initially. Her fan base was much smaller than what it is today. But then the drug and depression thing happened and she even contemplated suicide. Going as far as to write a letter about it. She went into rehab after that and came out hoping to "take care of her serenity". And she did recline into the background by being a writer for other singers *and not singing herself*. Then Titanium happened as Guetta put her demo vocals on the song as well as her name and it blew up (she had no idea it happened and was done without her consent or knowing). She became better known. 1000 forms of fear (her last album) was done to finish the record deal with her company and she thought of being non-famous herself, but have her music be famous *if* it got attention by any chance. And surprisingly, Chandelier blew up, then Elastic Heart and even Big Girls Cry had good success. So now she's making music for herself too. Point here, the lady has gone through a lot, and she's wanted to go away from the spotlight *before* ever being a pop star. That's just the conclusion that it's not really for attention. She just doesn't like to be followed around by the paparazzi and it's her choice. If it helps her to live the relaxed life that she deserves and desires, it's not very fair of us to keep judging her like this.

Because back when she was a singer she started drinking and doing drugs alot, and then her boyfriend died in a car accident, and she didn't wanna sing anymore. So she stoped for a couple of years. And now she doesn't wanna show her face anymore.

+Alan Bolger She still has an Australian accent (since that's where she's from), but since she's spent so much time in America it's become more American. You can see that in other recent videos of her where she talks directly after singing.

I think that’s so smart of her. I know new generation music artists will do the same, which I wouldn’t blame them for. But...Sia has set the curve. Let’s see who delivers next...
