Jared said what he said at the news conference very playfully. I watched the podcast that he was on and he said NOTHING to get worked up about. The Lions have been the laughing stock of pro sports for so long that fans AND the media are overly negative without meaning to be and to think otherwise is a little delusional.

Local Detroit media sucks. 97.1 the Ticket are all HATERS! You still don't want Goff to get paid what he should. You only give credit to Ben Johnson (Who's that? a rookie OC) or Goff is only good b/c of the O-Line. Stop with the Hate, Hate, Hate everyday. You guys are NEVER positive! Grown up.

The sensitivity of the media is amazing. Both Goff and the media are in what Teddy Roosevelt called being in the arena. Everyone needs to take the criticism as part of having opinions, especially when in the eyes of the public.

I think there's a contingency of the media and even some fans who would rather be right than the team actually be good. Some of it is PTSD. A lot of it seems to be much more a kneejerk reaction to what they see as slappies. I don't think that describes John or this pod, but there are definitely some folks from their former employers and particularly 97.1 (many of whom are fans of other teams) that are negative nancies.

There’s literally nothing to respond to. He wasn’t even “ripping the media”. He simply said detroit media lives in the losing culture of the past *at times*. We all do. It’s tough being a lions fan and Goff was just offering an outside perspective to our lifetimes of supporting a failure of a franchise that I found refreshing. We’re winning now. It’s awesome. Totally disagree with John!! Even after single handedly leading Lions to the best offense in NFL, in first 7 games in 2022, with the worst defense NFL may have ever seen; Detroit media ( except few) was all over Jared Goff! Even after both Brad Holmes ( who helped recruiting Jared Goff to Rams) declaring from the outset that Jared is NOT A BRIDGE QB, they kept asking for new QB even till the end of 2022 and even after Hooker was drafted, they kept dreaming him being the starter! They didn't care for his leadership and solid, consistent performances; they wanted some running or flashy QB. Fans were with him at the end, media always doubted him!!!!!

I don't follow John. I watched Woodward, listened to 97.1 both negative as hell. Carlos sucks. John you do center on the negative
