Someone records a video as Shyama practices her song. The Chowdhury family leaves for the palace inauguration. The pundit, following Disha’s orders, does not allow Shyama to do the inauguration of the palace. Basanta rebukes the pundit for insulting Shyama. Everyone plans to handover the pundit to the police for harassing them. Shyama doesn't want to bring any inauspiciousness to the family. Nikhil convinces Shyama to go ahead with the inauguration after Sujata's approval.

The protagonist of the tale is a dark-skinned girl named Shyama, who aims to eradicate the shame associated with color. She marries Nikhil and experiences prejudice because of her skin tone. She embarks on a quest to forge her own identity as a gifted vocalist. Shyama thinks her skin tone is similar to Lord Krishna's. Following her marriage, she pursues a career in music, which completely transforms her life. Although Shyama's mother-in-law despises her, over the course of a few years, she grows to love her and even lets her sing.
