I'm always looking for budget-friendly headphone options to share so testing the Shure SRH240A at $59 USD seemed like a good option to consider, especially after reviewing the SRH840A and SRH1840. I don't expect sub $60 headphones to compete with more premiere options like the 1840s, but in my testing and to my ears, the SRH240A don't quite seems to fit in with other headphones in Shure's lineup. Have a listen and let me know what you think. Cheers, Todd

Hi Todd! I liked this review on these Shure headphones. I would like to see you do a review of a brand new pair of professional Sennheiser headphones known as the HD 490 Pro. They seem to be the successor to the Sennheiser HD 400 Pro you reviewed a long time ago. They claim to deliver "an extremely wide, dimensional sound stage and ultra-precise sound reproduction". I would like to see you do audio tests on them to see if they’re a great choice! Thank you for the great content!

I ended up buying the Beyerdynamic dt 880 600 ohm version, and this is the craziest headphone I have ever owned. Highly recommended

These were my first pair of headphones I used in my studio. They were a solid first pair of cans for the money, but they do get pretty uncomfortable after long sessions.

Sounds woolly to me. I wouldn't buy them. 40X with some eq would do the job better for me. Superb review thanks.

Yeah, the m40x just needs the treble boosted in the eq. As far as I'm concerned, the mids & bass are close to perfect in the 40x
