I was particularly happy with the music in this scene. The last one amazing music piece was copied and pasted several times, but didn’t notice it until toward the fight between Diablo and the other creature I forgot about toward the end of Season One. I am glad they didn’t repeat it here, the soft and somber song truly expresses the emotions of the participants. Shuns attempting to make amends for her previous arrogance, and her pity for Adalman. Then Adalman’s respect and gratitude for Shuna restoring his hope, along with freeing him and his army.

It is a little bit late but I can answer the question. Adalman was the main energy core for the defence magic of the castle but the effect of a magic contract made sure that he can never comitt suicide or only can be killed by a very powerfull mage.if he dies the contract magic revives him but in this case the contract has been desintegrated by the the magic he used so the revive still happened but he was no longer bound to the catsle and it defence system.

What the anime never told you was how Shuna got this powerful suddenly. It’s due to Rimuru’s ascension to Demon Lord status, in which everyone named by him is given a gift, like Shion’s Master Chef ability. In Shuna’s case, she is basically able to perform any form of magic, making her the most OP mage in Rimuru’s group!

@@Rembanspellsong In one I played in the massively overbuffed cleric only didn't win because he never figured out where my character (pixie rogue with a bow, UMD and illusion scrolls and wands) _was_ until it was far too late. If the player had been a little more suspicious of the "druid" he thought he was seeing he'd have countered me easily.

@Salmaan Ali ?: My only point was to add a “insult” to the joke, “That is one small advantage”. Nothing to be taken seriously. My only one true gripe would be that at certain points, it looks like Adalman’s lips have been torn off (or even fallen off), exposing his teeth. Rather then showing his teeth connected. Though over all I deeply love this scene, I even stated that in another comment. Especially the music.

Watching suna fighting reminded me of how ridiculously overpowered our tempest princess is..

It truly is amazing how good the visual quality is in this anime, especially when it comes to magic circles. There are so many tiny visuals that go into them that make them all the more impressive. The magic is by far the best thing in this story, even when there are so many other things that make it addicting to watch. Though this is based on my opinion.

Ah, love how Shuna isn't getting the Sakura treatment.

Shuna restored Adalman's faith, turned his own miracle against him, set him free from his curse and then allowed him to join Tempest Be like Shuna

After getting blueballed from getting to Walpurgis after several episodes, it begins in one week. Very excited!

That “Excellent work Princess” from Souei is touching because he’s always seen her as someone he needed to protect. At this point, he’s super proud and reminded of how brilliant she is. And on top of that Souei only compliments Rimuru openly. Lol

1:02 You know your screwed when there’s more sound bass in your attack

Man I keep coming back to this scene! It's just totally over the top. It has to be one of the best animated magic sequences EVER. The camera, the visual but honestly? It's the SOUND that really makes this scene for me. The way the work the sound effects into the music? That's just beyond amazing!

Shuna is the ultimate weapon in all of Tempest. Her faith and devotion to protect all those who are dear to her is unparallel. One of the many reasons she is not to be underestimate.

I loved Adalman in the novel. And now that he has Joseph's va I love him even more. I wonder who will be the va for Wenti and Albert if the anime gets to them

Oh, and the part where Rimuru advertises Tempest's full potions to Blumund's minister Velyard and demonstrates its effectiveness on a retired adventurer, regrowing the man's leg in front of Velyard and Fuze. It was pretty satisfying to see since Velyard had played Rimuru during negotiations earlier. All of these scenes I mentioned happened during Rimuru's journey to Ingrassia.

OK, so Shuna at this stage is powerful enough to make a mockery of the magic that Hinata was so darned proud of. I wonder how it feels going from being able to go toe to toe with a monster nation's leader to not being able to even be close to someone in the lower half of the top 10

Honestly speaking, Hinata even at this stage could still take anyone in Tempest out that isn’t Rimuru, Veldora or Diablo. As much as I love Shuna, Hinata could still beat her pretty easily in a fight.

To be fair Shuna is kinda the go to for spirit and holy magic, and even has complete resistance to attacks on the spiritual body as well as holy attacks, so that would be a pretty bad matchup for Hinata. She could probably hold her own better against Benimaru than Shuna because of Shuna's skillsets. Unless Hinata ditched her more flashy techniques and magic and just pulled out a good old fashioned longsword lol

Hinatas version is much much more powerful...magic in this series relies on the casters power/skill which would make the spell by default more powerful for hinata but holy magic in general is powered even more by believe and faith and hinata is whole heartily devoted to luminus while adalman just discovered that faith again its just no competition

If any anime-only watchers liked the scene where Rimuru "killed" Myulan because of his cold attitude, you should get ready. You'll love the walpurgis arc, and his anger is real.

I think ainz would win easily as he's the mc of his anime plus he's god level of power, I love Shuna but I don't see her winning I would like to see Shion vs Albedo

Shuna can use any spell she likes but ainz is still more powerful as a magic user in gerneral. It is also difficult to say per say since magic is extremly different in tensura and overlord. Id bet my money on ainz since he is a lot more experienced in using his magic unlike shuna but still depending on how the magic system would scale it could be close
