Nah, it's because it's the most rational thing to do, the world voice literally asked Great Sage to evolve because it's possible to evolve. Great Sage only began having feelings after she evolved to Raphael

It was great sage that asked the world to evolve mate :) they have the same voice so it's easy to confuse, it wanted to evolve to its ultimate form to help it's master. Or they just didn't show it in anime I don't remember but in manga it's the Great Sage that makes a petition to The Voice of the world to evolve :)

I didn't notice this before but Raphael knew how nosy Diablo was before he even got recruited. Low-key told him to close his eyes so he doesn't copy Rimuru's moves lol, later on Guy will be just as nosy 😂

2:01 my favorite part is that Benimaru was hanging on so hard to observe what was happening, only letting up once Rimiru/Raphael told them to relax and go to sleep. Incredible attention to detail and speaks volumes about Benimaru's character!!!

imagine he named Diablo before he evolved how broken would he be if he received a gift too

He would have died. He got an enormous magicule boost by evolving into a true demon lord and still lost 50% of his magicules and felt light headed when he named Diablo, it's how powerful Diablo really is.

@@majorrazer4713 Guy is one of the coolest characters in this world and so op, but that's because Guy is a true demon lord with hundreds of years since he evolved. Before he evolved, both Guy and Diablo use to battle and would end up in a tie.

All of Rimuru’s retinue look like they fought to stay awake, while Gabiru looks as if he said “sweet dreams” instantly Never change Gabiru, never change lol.

@@headshot531 It was an evolve form of auto combat of Great Sages, where Raphael, being sentient due to becoming an ultimate skill can now activally control Rimuru's body without a need for a command, it's just a better version of control that Raphael uses to differentiate who is in control at that time, while also using the terms like "notice" to showcase that it is Raphael. That was why Myulan was so shocked, because skills should not be able to act on its on. If it was Great Sage at that moment instead of Raphael, she probably would have controlled Rimuru but done nothing but safe guard until Rimuru awakens, or makes a situation where the dead souls could be sustained until Rimuru awakens to give out instructions, however Raphael had became more sentient and can now act on its own, that is why is just acted upon Rimuru's desires, without him ever needing to state it as a command.

no. there's a reason why [great sage] in particular was able to develop her own ego. she's a bit of a unique case. in fact, there is actually another skill in his possession that likely had the same potential

Too bad this vid doesn't have this part of evolution to Raphael , where it took multiple hundreds of attempts that were actually failed

Actually that image of Rimuru is not Rimuru. That is Ciel an evolve form of Raphael who looks like Rimuru but with red eyes just like when Raphael takes over Rimuru's body like in 2:14. Ciel will be coming out in the future becoming a separate being from Rimuru.

Sama, in itself doesn't always means great, it's respectful way to call somebody, I may call you Ren-sama, but it doesn't mean you're great or some sort of. In this context, I wouldn't say it's wrong, their relationship also kinda like master and servants, it's just simply sucks.

Is it bothering only me that Maou is translated as Demon Lord everywhere? Even when its some slime or mage and definitely dont have anything to do with demons? Dark Lord is more fitting... Powerful Monster would even work... this word is flexible. Even main villain of BNHA calls himself a Maou... you think that he used it as "Demon Lord"? At first I thought that its some stupid illogical anime bullshit... before I made a research and discovered that its just idiots behind translation.
