To be fair. The first three butlers I thought of other than Diablo when I read this were: Sebas (Overlord), Sebastian (Black Butler), and Walter (Hellsing) And I'm pretty sure all three of those would be a 'horrific monstrosity unleashed upon the world' if they were ever sent to Earth and were even slightly annoyed. You don't mess with butlers in anime. If they have name and you cross them, politely ask for tea before they decide to polish their master's walls and floors with your bodily fluids.

Fun fact: the main reason diablo suggested for Rimuru (Raphael) to devour the other two demons was mostly to get rid of them (so he would be the only demon serving him) - of course he did it also out of loyalty, but it was mostly the first part (- this isn’t some hc I thought of this is cannon since it’s later said in the novel)

@@gabbostim3394 Yeah, but he knows those people are strong !SPOILERS! since like three of those demons are primodials like him and the other seven are higher demons that he saw have high potential and would be of good support to his master. And he also understood that no matter who he took to become rimurus subordinate he would still be the “main” demon. And also the fact that he realised that one day he would either way summon other demons to work for him, so he at least wanted the demon working under Rimuru to be strong individuals.

I believe, in context, that Ranga earlier on may have specified that it’s because Rimuru showed mercy to the rest of pack even though they threw first punch; it’s basically because Rimuru showed compassion that was unheard among monsters that they show loyalty to him.

Ranga himself stated that the only reason he respected Rimuru and was loyal to him was because he spared the rest of the pack and showed them kindness after they instigated the fight against the goblins. Other monsters would of simply eviscerated the entire pack. He also proved he was the strongest alpha to rival all other possible leaders so it made sense from a pack animals perspective. I believe that’s already been stated to you, but I wanted to provide further elaboration.

MIGHT be spoiler: I remember reading from somewhere that Diablo first was interested in Shizu and her mask bc it (or her?) contained some form of time magic so he keeps taps on it. The mask then passes down to Rimuru and Diablo seeing how a slime has such an insane growth and inheriting Shizu's will, Diablo thinks Rimuru can lead him to an answer he's searching for. And I'm not too sure about this part but I think Diablo is trying to find "secret of the world" or something like that...

That's one of the several things that make this anime great, because you can't even imagine how op the characters are, until you see a Majin with a body made for combat that can even regenerate his brain, faint over a demon that evetually took half of the magicules of Rimuru to evolve, so he's even more op. And then we have things like Veldora taking a puch in the nape from Milim, and he's joking about it. Imagine how lonely he had been feeling, that, as one of the strongest creatures he gave it all up to a slime because he wanted someone to talk. Loneliness is scary, Shion's food too.

Thing is, Diablo is far more powerful than the anime lets you think. Razen is aware that Diablo is a legendary existence with power beyond comprehension. What Razen feared is Diablo becoming the next Guy Crimson, since when they were both in the demon world Diablo was the only one who fought Guy to a draw. Guy later on got summoned to the human world and became the strongest Demon Lord after he evolved, so thinking Diablo is the next Guy is just terrifying. Shion herself admitted later on that Diablo is far stronger than her, as well.

​@@moonshadow7814 I'll try. Remember Clayman is supposed to have 5 servants named after the fingers of the hand? Well, we saw Myuran, Yamza, Fox and Skely Boi. That's 4. The missing one is Pirone Clayman mentions Pirone's death, but he doesn't go into details (because he doesn't actually know). And the anime doesn't explain either. Well in the Light Novel (source material for the anime) it's explained that Diablo killed her by redirecting Razen's attack. And it's hinted he did it on purpose. It's all very vague apparently.

Rimmuru not knowing how powerful Noir was was surprised that only 3 demons answered his summoning despite how big the offering was. The reason was when Beretta was summoned he/she beat Diablo to the punch as was summoned in his place this made Noir FURIOUS when Rimmuru made his 2nd summoning during his ascension there where actually HORDES of greater demons eager to answer the summon Diablo slaughter all who where trying to answer except those he brought along, he was even going to kill Beretta out of revenge but stopped himself when Beretta told Diablo his body was made personally by Rimmuru, and Diablo refused to damage any creation of his master.

@@sineththushara8940 it was a couple of different times but they where told after the fact in a off-hand statement something like I wanted to destroy him but it would've damaged rimmuru's work so I(Diablo restrained myself) Rimmurs barely registered it because it always tunes out Diablo's ramblings

I literally just finished reading this Part of the light novel. The sad part about the anime is that they left out so many small BUT vital details. Razen Freaked out and passed out because he is one of the rare humans in that entire world that knew of the Realms of power/beings beyond the deepest Reaches. So basically, something you're going to notice happening a LOT (And again, I am only on the 1st chapter of volume 6 so I don't know if this will change) is people thinking That Diablo an A or A+ level demon. NO ONE has heard of the Primordial level demon, Because it is simply unimaginable to even consider a demon of that level of power Existing in the mortal realm! To put just how powerful Diablo is into context, Razen said that he could take on a demon lord and win (Not to be mistaken with a "true" Demon Lord which is what Rimuru has become). A demon lord is ranked S and can single-handedly destroy an entire nation. Yet Diablo played with Razen like he was nothing. Also note that in a world with Millions of people, monsters, etc. Those with power higher than B rank is rare; only a few hundred out of millions. Those B+ to A are Exceptionally rare numbering in the dozens. So Razen (probably ranked A+ when he met Diablo) was NOT AT ALL WEAK. He just appeared that way because of who he was fighting.

No , he wouldn't explode at their sight. He passed out seeing diablo because Spoiler : diablo is legendary existence. He feared that diablo might become the next guy crimson. Diablo is a primordial just like guy . They were on equal terms in demon realm and were best friends. Guy got summoned in human world and destroyed a country and became a demon lord becoming the strongest existence in that world, razen feared that diablo might go on a rampage becoming next guy crimson. Greatest threat to humanity

The "passing out" is most likely out of pure fear, so in that case yeah, he would have a heart attack if he saw Milim. But then again, it might have been a side effect of his unique skill Tempter which basically allows Diablo to manipulate the target's will, restrict their free will in any way, or even materialize an imaginary world where he holds the absolute authority and send the targets there to be in his mercy. Not saying that the latter was done, but the skill might have affected his will to fight or amplified the fear he felt by a lot.

First job as in the First Job by Rimuru. That's what he cares for. He couldn't care less about other jobs (note he's been summoned a couple of times earlier, first by the Silver Wing member and second by that girl in the OVA but he just doesn't care about em) and only wants to serve Rimuru (big gay moment)

Tense literally is the best anime when it comes to sound effects, plot, and animation.

@@skyshadow6617 In the Web Novel, the king survives and I'm pretty sure Razen isn't even in it. I'm guessing they are confusing this with something else they read. In the WN Falmuth doesn't have any isekai'd people and the main ones to cause a ruckus in Tempest are the church's black ops team.

@@trriixxiiee Yeah, that's why Alpha and myself think edjae might have confused the scene with something else. To my knowledge this happens in both the manga and the light novel. From Alpha's testimony it might also happen in the web novel, but he'd have to confirm.

@@skyshadow6617 I haven't read the LN or the manga, but in the WN the king definitely survives and was tortured (aka. forced to eat his limbs as Rimuru's gang cut and regenerated them over and over again). Then he was sent back to his nation on his throne as a blobbed mess with a high grade potion underneath him to restore him to full health.

I love that relentless perseverance for the skill itself to evolve, a desperate, mad clawing to achieve the impossible, and even giving up something irreplaceable to push beyond to be worthy of its new ascended master. To rage against the infinity to attain true sentience, damn Rimaru has powerful allies.

From what I remember in the web novel, Rimuru's slime color was supposed to change when he evolved into a demon slime. Did anyone else notice how Great Sage petitioned the world repeatedly? That's system hacking at its best.

@Mai Sakurajima I don't see why they would change a simple color swap from WN to LN though? Also, the LN wiki mentions: "Rimuru initially appears as a blue-bodied Slime, but upon becoming a Demon Slime, his body turns silver with streaks of gold." so that theory is debunked. Anime fucked up.

I don't think most people realize but after giving diablo his name he is way more powerful than Rimuru during these fights scenes on par with the strongest Demon Lord and the Dragons.

No. Diablo is definitely the strongest of Rimuru’s Patrons when he was just named. Stronger than even Benimaru but he is definitely not on the level of the strongest demon lord or the dragons yet. It was stated that after Rimuru became a True Demon Lord, it took I think it was 10 or 20% of his magicules to name Diablo. In the Light novel it also said that Diablo was still a Demon Peer and not a Demon Lord yet. Even if we were to stretch it a little and say that naming Diablo made him Demon Lord level. He would still be around equal to Rimuru’s strength. Which would make him equal to the other True Demon Lords(without their Ultimate Skill). But he would still be quite a bit weaker than Milim or Guy. Diablo only truly becomes Demon Lord level after the Empire Arc in which Rimuru bestows him a bunch more souls and he becomes a True Demon Lord. By then, I wouldn’t be surprised if he could rival the dragons as he is one of the Primordial Demons.

@@buttblast1113 1. He used valdoras magicules to name diablo because he his wasn't enough. 2. The only thing that makes guy stronger than diablo is guy has a sentient skill where diablo doesn't. Guy is stronger than the dragons and he's around par with valdora

@@Nathan-qh6dq So I read a few pages of Vol 5 and there were errors in what both of us were saying. Diablo actually took 50% of Rimuru’s magicules when he was being named. Not 20%. But it is also false that Rimuru needed to use Veldora’s magicules as Raphael specifically stated that Rimuru’s magicules capacity has increased by 10x and Diablo used up half of that for his naming. Not Veldoras. If anything, this supports my claim that Diablo is actually closer to or is slightly weaker than Rimuru when he was just named. I’m not saying that Diablo is weaker than the dragons(Veldora) or the demon lords(Guy). Diablo is a Primodial Demon, same as Guy, and therefore should have the same potential. I’m saying that he becomes comparable to them later on the story and not this early on. I don’t think this can be disputed as the story literally says that after being named, Diablo when from a Archdemon to a Demon Peer. Which is still one level below a Demon Lord.

@@buttblast1113 when Raphael evolves he informs creamer that he's been making a bunch of decisions without him such as using valdoras magicules. It's also shown later on the books that valora is aware of this because he knows the skill wisdom King is different compared to all the other skills and it was talking to valdera while trapped inside of Rimuru

Spoiler alert: you have to remember that naming a monster requires you to be stronger than it but even then if he did become equal to Rimuru’s level at that time it really wouldn’t matter because in the end of the wn Rimuru is basically a god now after defeating the power of Veldanava aka the greatest dragon who is the father of Milim

love that in the movie Diablo gets asked the question "Who the hell would be dumb enough to give a powerful demon like you a name"

This season of anime, I've become super attached to a lot of the characters, rimuru, Rio/haruto, iruma, I can't wait for the next episode week in and out and I'm going to be sad waiting for the next seasons, the episodes seem to end so fast because I'm so drawn to what's happening

I can't wait for next week's episode, season 2 part 2 Episode 1.
