Shrinkage for Conduit Bending Explained

Due to a ton of questions about Shrinkage for Conduit Bending in this video I explained how it works. Not every Electrician will factor in Shrinkage for conduit bending which is fine, but there happens to be more than than I expected.
Shrinkage is used for those that want to maximize their conduit and as long as you have the correct measurement adding for shrinkage is simple. I personally use it when I am not in a rush and have time to figure it out. Below I have the list of degrees and shrinkage for each.
DEGREE OF BEND SHRINKAGE PER INCH OF RISE
10 1/16"
22.5 3/16"
30 1/4"
45 3/8"
60 1/2"

Hi Craig does the size of the pipe change the shrinkage ? Also this always confused me, if I have a 4 inch square box mounted to the wall and I have a hole drilled in the floor the pipe is lets say 12 inches to the wall so I need to offset the pipe to go un to the box, would I make the offset 12 inches or would I minus the distance of the knockout in the box ?

I bend all in a row. I've found that you're shrinkage is wrong the way bend. I bend at 30°and I've found that my way is much faster and way more accurate too. My shrinkage is 3" per bend regardless of the height. So I mark my 1st line with the bender at the end of the 4 point, facing the end of the stick, the distance from the bend of the show to the flat party is roughly 3-1/4" just at that to each bend and your can place it down properly with no issues for a30°bend 4 point saddle andhow bend takes like 2 minutes. Just letting your know cause your normally have to turn the bender 2 times in each direction. My way is better and faster cause your can eyeball it and bend in the air
