Shrek Timeline Explained

If you're watching this video, odds are you probably love Shrek. Or you fell asleep with KZread autoplaying. Either way, the big green ogre is a beloved cinematic icon. And since Shrek is life, I figured why not take a look at the entire Shrek timeline, from beginning to end. Bet you didn’t know you needed this in your life, but here we are!
You probably think that the first entry in a timeline of Shrek films, would naturally be the first Shrek movie. Well, in a surprise to basically everyone, the earliest piece of media chronologically is actually a television show that ran for six seasons from 2015 till 2018 entitled the Adventures of Puss in Boots.
After this on the timeline, was…once again not Shrek but actually more Puss in Boots, as the first spin off film, Puss in Boots slots in here.
Then from there you get the Shrek films, along with a bunch of spin-off shorts, and even a ride at Universal Studios (yes, that is technically canon to the series! Crazy right?)
All of it wraps up with the latest film in the franchise, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, which saw Puss in Boots on the final one of his nine lives. At one point, even facing down death himself in the guise of a wolf in a cloak…

Shrek is a good series because of how anti Disney the writers were. It was unique. It didn't care if it wasn't 100% PG. Spite is a powerful motivater.
When Shrek 5 comes out, it would be cool seeing the Shrek and Puss in Boots characters crossing over.

Indeed, I was happy to watch Puss in Boots 2 back on January with my brother. We were in the theaters and we enjoyed it. I laughed so hard I cried especially when the Cricket called Jack Horner an irredeemable monster

I remember my 7th Birthday, the theme was Shrek, I had a shrek cake my dad painted a poster with shreks head that just said Happy 7th birthday Kyle and we even had Pin the Ear on Shrek😂😂
It’s interesting to look at the life of the franchise. It had a lot of steam in the beginning. Then around Shrek 3 it took a dip. Shrek 4 was not as forgettable but still didn’t have the popularity of 1 or 2. Then a massive hiatus. It seems only in recent years has the franchise had a chance at coming back. I’m down for it. It was a good memory in my childhood

If shrek4 use multiverse timeline, the badass fiona timeline will still continue even after shrek was vanished leaving badass fiona heartbreak n maybe turn her into a cruel ruler...

5:22 I'm confused. They were summoned? I thought they were already at Far Far Away at the end of Shrek 2? How much time would have passed by then?

Shrek is such a great animated series. I can't wait for Shrek 5!
I think I can predict a new shrek movie called shrek the end which starts off as shrek and fiona's kids growing up and then watching their kids get married and have children making shrek and fiona grandparents and then they try to spend as much time as they can with their grandchildren and as shrek and fiona get old they end up living in a retirement home and then once they pass away they keep their legacy alive to their children and grandchildren so I think I actually made a great prediction of shrek the end even though it probably will never happen since I think that shrek is done with making movies
