A couple pop-culture references you two might have not picked up on because they were more US-focused: Donkey says to give Puss in Boots the "Bob Barker treatment" -- Bob Barker hosted a show called "The Price is Right" where contestants guess the price of various home and recreational/sporting goods (like furniture or dining sets, ski equipment , RV's and so forth). At the end of each show, he would do a PSA to 'spay and neuter your pets.' The chase scene -- It's a double reference. One being a reference to the show "Cops" which is pretty much what you see in this movie, a show about crazy interactions between cops and suspects; and the other reference is a direct recreation of the infamous OJ Simpson chase back in 1994, he was in a white Bronco. Every single one of the characters changes and evolves in this one, old and new and the villain is also funny and understandable. It has a lot of great and unexpected jokes up it’s sleeve and takes many risks with its characters and story.

7:00 "Versarchery." It's not often that a sequel surpasses the original, but one way that _Shrek 2_ did was with better puns in the background.

I remember watching this in the cinema for the first time and Jennifer Saunders is killing it, winding up in a rendition of Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero", and I'm waiting for it and waiting for it and she's winding up, about to belt out "I need a hero!" for the first time. And I thought 'And cue Shrek closeup!' And rather than disappointing me and subverting my expectations the movie went exactly where I wanted it to, exactly when I wanted it to do it. And that's one reason why I remember and love this movie and don't give a crap about any poorly-made garbage that amateurishly 'subverts expectations' for the sake of disappointing you and being edgy.

The fightning moves that Fiona uses on the ogre hunters at the start, are Chun-Li's spinning kick and Ryu/Ken's Shoryuken from Street Fighter II: World Warrior.

it's the first time I've seen the English version thanks to you Magy, in the scene where Fiona chooses to be an Ogre again for the love of Shrek I shed a few tears (after exactly 20 years I didn't remember the scene at all and this thing made me cry) I loved Shrek 2 for the locations, the large number of characters, Puss in Boots played by Banderas was fantastic at the time because I loved the Zorro film ❤❤❤

I am a guy and not really into romance movies. I bought this DVD the next day after seeing this movie. GREAT SEQUEL. (one of the best ever) That being said, "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" is maybe as good, maybe not better but at least even. Every time I see Puss In Boots in this movie I see exactly like my cat. Her name is Scrabble, she is a small ginger, a prankster, meditates in our garden and sleeps on top of our garden bed not caring for the plants beneath her. She is the one kind of cat who puts a big smile on our faces. ❤😺

Antonio Banderas, means you have to watch Desperado.

When they put in the Sir Justin joke, they didn't know at the time that Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake were dating, she announded it to the directors and producers during the production. Not sure if this was because of this that Timberlake got the role of Artie in Shrek the Third but it would have made a lot of sense.

Have you ever reacted to "The mask of Zorro". If not then it'll be perfect for a video. That movie is one of the best movies in history.

There's a fan theory that the Fairy Godmother was the witch who cursed Fiona in order to set in motion her son marrying her and being King of Far Far Away (a.k.a. Medieval California). To quote Captain Jean-Luc Picard, "Villains who twirl their mustaches are easy to spot; those who clothe themselves in good deeds are well camouflaged."

Shrek 2 is an AMAZING movie. Everything the first one did, this one does better. It even adds on to this world as a good sequel should. It introduces us to new characters and gives more development to the ones we already grew to love. Even the jokes are funnier. Also, the I Need a Hero sequence still gets me hyped every time I rewatch this film. This is a very great movie, and DreamWorks is REAL good at making sequels better than the original (ex: Shrek 2, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Kung Fu Panda 2, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Puss in Boots 2).

Another great reaction to a cool Shrek movie. You guys are the cutest couple reacting. The next one is ok but not as great as this one. I am so glad you watched the ending credits so you could see Donkey's little ones. You guys always make watching a movie even better.

That's a good change. I just re-listened to the CHiPs theme song, and although it does have horns, its most characteristic sound is a different instrument altogether (some synth thing). Hawaii 5-O, on the other hand, is clearly defined by the horns. Not only that, but 6 years after Shrek 2 came out, there was a fairly well received reboot of Hawaii 5-O that used the same song, so now even _more_ people recognize it!

I also have 2 cats. Mine are very snuggly and nice though, they do not scratch unless theyre doing their play scratches and they do not bite unless theyve been messed with for too long and wanna be left alone. One of my boys actually never even attenpts to bite or scratch my youngest, even when my son was biting his tail (i stopped the biting it was a quick second) all my cat did was purr 😂 the other one just runs away from my son if he gets too close.
