That WHOLE arrest scene was perfection From Donkey screaming “police brutality! Police brutality To the knights arresting Puss for Catnip. And what’s funny is if you look closely you can see the knight cop pulling the catnip out of his sleeves so it really wasn’t Puss lol And to them “macing” Shrek with a pepper mill as pepper spray 😂 P.S. This movie got banned in certain countries cause of the catnip scene of all things lol

Dude, that rendition of “I need a hero” with the trio charging towards the castle is still one of the best and funniest scenes in animation 😂. Shrek 2 is one of the best sequels ever 💯

One of the best upgrades from a 1st movie to a 2nd movie ever. Shrek 1 was already a classic and it won best animated film award that same year, and Shrek 2 is even better than that. They even introduced Puss in Boots and who’s one of the best DreamWorks characters ever.

Yall so first off the Director said that when Donkey took the potion Dragon turned into a talking Pegasus. Also towards the end when Puss pulls the cord and drops the water is not pulling a JLo its pulling a Flashdance. That whole video is based off that film.

In my humble opinion Shrek 2 is the best, but that's just me

FUN FACT: The real-life donkey that was used as the model for "Donkey" (played by Eddie Murphy) is named "Perry" and he lives in a public park in my hometown of Palo Alto, California.

30:45 I understand where Robs coming in terms of the different dynamic for Shrek but you can’t just fully change main character to more pleasing to the eye, cause then what’s the point for the original character, that’s my opinion but I do respect and understands Robs, still love how he stands by what he says during movie reactions

I like how DreamWorks movies goes from good to great with it's sequels. While Disney is used to do more of a straight to DVD with their sequels with lower quality.

The writer and director Andrew Adamson confirmed that Dragon turned into a big pink Pegasus but just off screen. Originally, Dragon was going to have a much larger role, but they thought it was unnecessary for the film. She would have had much to say and it would have been difficult to hide her pregnancy. Dragon was going to be one of the characters to free Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots from jail. Mostly, Dragon was cut from the film though still making an appearance at the end with the dragon-donkey hybrid children and Donkey did briefly mention her.

Just to add that when Puss is doing the water chair move, it's not a parody of JLo, it's a famous scene from an 80's movie called Flashdance. JLo was parodying the movie in that video too.

The fairy god mother might be a villain but sis was a STAR I always said she ate that song up I use to love that part when I was a kid along with donkey being annoying the whole ride to the castle, and the arrest scene the “pepper spray” and puss having the catnip. 😂😂 this one is my favorite out of the franchise

I remember having to watch the first Shrek at least 3 times before I really started to like it. Then, when this one came out, I absolutely loved it!

Donkey drinks the Happily Ever After potion- Shrek: How do you feel? Donkey: I don't....feel any different. I look any different? Puss In Boots: You still look like an ass to me. (Donkey gives Puss a "Boy, shut up" look) 😆😂🤣☠

The best way to describe Shrek 2 is Dreamworks’ Guess who’s coming to Dinner with some fairy tale references. Also, Holding out for hero is one of the greatest climatic scenes in cinema history.

Regarding the Dragon question. In the jnterview they said that they actually intended for Dragon to turn into a Pegasus Unicorn, but found no way to make it relevant to the story, so they just left it out.
