Shpongle - Tales Of The Inexpressible (Remastered), released February 26, 2018
“Tales of the Inexpressible” was released on Twisted Records in 2001.
It was a much anticipated and well loved successor continuing in the pioneering spirit of the debut album and in this exceptional follow up they gave us plenty more multi-dimensional surprises and new sonic realities to explore and immerse ourselves in.
From the opening sounds on “Dorset Perception”, the first track featuring flamenco guitar and Latin percussion, we can tell we are in for some incredible planetary as well as interplanetary trips on this musical voyage as Si & Raj take us for a spin though their musical worlds, full of influences garnered on their travels to the 4 corners of the earth.

I wish I could listen to Shpongle at my job, which tends to play country music for the customers. Country music makes me feel icky just hearing it.
I once smoked good hash and put this album on! I lay down to bed and closed My eyes. I get to some state of mind where I saw inkas and mayans and native Americans on so lively visions that i hadnt never experienced. When album ended i fell asleep and those were best all night sleep i ever had!
I've been playing the drums for about 6 years ... and I am purely self taught with Shpongle.... the absolute best grooves!! ... playing this music saved me from my addiction to hard drugs .... I wish I could put into words how much I love and appreciate you guys, Simon and Raj!!! 🥰💯 ❤💗🖤💗❤

It's been a few years for me now, but wow, do I remember how that felt! This album changed my musical tastes overnight: the first time I played it I sat motionless through the whole thing, gasping in wonder at the new world that was opening in front of me. It was like coming across a tropical flower after a hike through endless deciduous woodlands. ...And I don't even do drugs :-\ Since then, I've found others. Ott, Younger Brother and Pangani, to name a handful.
Are you prepared to go on a journey? Listen to the entire album, don't just listen to one song, if you have time, relax, and drift off in your mind listening to this amazing album. I love this so much.

All Shpongle albums are masterpieces but this one is to rule them all.
First Shpongle album I ever listened to at age 17. Burned it to a CD and played it "religiously" for years. That CD is gone now, but every once in a while this album comes back into my life, often at the time I need to hear it most. God bless this channel and the listeners who choose to "in-joy" this work of transcendence.

Once, my best friend fell into a coma. I traveled hundreds of miles to the most powerful shaman. I gave him two hundred dollars, a bag of jewels, quarter ounce of chronic, and a pack of cherry blunt papers. In kind, he gave me a parchment wrapped in the skins of wild animals and told me to make sure he can hear it. Upon my return, he had grown a full beard, white hair, wore a bandana, and changed his name to Sisco. I began to unwrap the parchment in overwhelming curiosity of its contents. I wonder what is in here, peyote cactus buds, a sacred crystal wand of healing, a old book of mystic incantations? Smells like wet cats for some weird reason, once the final skin was removed, it was a 1983 Walkman with a CD of Shpongle, you have been shpongled. Needless to say my friend is still in a coma, but I jam every second to shpongle on my ancient Walkman! Yeah.
I've discovered several artists now that fall into this general genre (recently Ott, Younger Brother, for example). But this album was my introduction to the whole thing, and it has a special place in my memory. I bought it on CD without ever having heard it, because someone whose ear I trusted insisted that I should have it. I remember very well what happened when I got home with the disc. I inserted it, sat in front of my speakers... and when Dorset Perception began, my jaw dropped open. It kept dropping open again and again for the next hour and nine minutes, while I sat there, saying not a word, not moving from my seat, until the whole amazing journey was over. I have very eclectic tastes, so there have been quite a few times in my life when I've found a new way that music can be (for example, Weather Report). But usually it takes a little time to get accustomed to a new sound. Only Tales of the Inexpressible smacked me around the head and immediately woke me up in this way. It was like losing my virginity again.

been searching for proper melody for ages till i encountered artists like these, its the play of beat and melody in the music thats missing from 99% if not all of modern songs & music, thats why i keep returning to Shpongle, Entheogenic, Infected Mushroom, Eat Static, Highlight tribe and such or even older artists. its what im missing from most modern djs & song writers, they stuck in the same loop.
