I hate audiences singing at concerts. I go to hear the band, THEIR SINGERS. Not the annoying audience. I have actually walked out of gigs because the audience participation was too much.

You hit on a topic that really annoys me concerning something i'll refer to as prompting. Here in the states, i watch a program called Real Time w/ Bill Maher. It's taped live, but broadcast later in the evening. For as much as i enjoy getting a dose of his political views, his show is fcking littered with fake clapping and laughter, and distracts me from just enjoying the experience. Other live taped programming does the same thing, trying to prompt It's viewership into feeling something. Good topic choice concerning how cynical i am over how programming tries to manipulate It's audience emotionally.
