Him and Eric from shinhwa, he literally left the SM company because they wanted one member off, now they are working under their own label and name. Nct leader is so caring and thoughtful that it just warms your heart how attentive he is to the members.

Even tho he easily could be very dominant or overpowering (he is strong, in charge & very talented gifted) he is in no way aggressive or pushy (he even despites violence) this is such nice attribute in such a manly man as Shownu, he is very kind hearted, caring & got no greed for attention father more he wants his members & the whole group to shine & even tho very talented he never brags about himself. He is so reliable like a rock in a storm, this man´s heart is so selfless & beautiful. this my first time to admit it but its true; Shownu is really one of the best leader (even unbiased).

Shownu is the protector of this group. I still remembered that Minhyuk said that he was so grateful to Shownu hyung for always putting the team first, sometimes even sacrificing his own interest for others. And kihyun said he had never met someone like Shownu in his life before. Also they said if they were in a apocalypse, shownu would be the first one to go and fight the zombies for them.😹😹 Shownu got this shy yet honest, positive, kind, selfless personality in nature. So of course he will take care of the people around him and the group that he is in. Plus the giggling expression he had when he was laughing. Shownu is cute😆

TBH I thought Wonho was more like the leader of Monsta X than Shownu...at first. Then I realised it's because Shownu is an earth-type leader. You don't really notice the earth you stand on, but if it disappeared, you would be in a lot of trouble. Because the earth exists, it provides a stable place for you to run and do your favourite things. Shownu is like that. His leadership is not flashy and he's very humble, so sometimes you don't even notice it. But it provides a safe foundation for the rest of the team to flourish. I think one of the reasons that Monsta X seems to be one of the kindest, most well-behaved kpop groups (and Monbebe also seems to be a very warm and calm fandom) is probably because of Shownu's quiet influence.

I've never seen a group be so appreciative of their fans, at least openly. MONSTA X talks about us Monbebes constantly about how much they love and care for us. You can see this in interviews or through their speeches, they get so emotional when mentioning us (and of course their parents or each other). They're all incredibly humble and it's one of the many reasons as to why I love them too.

Everyone needs someone like shownu in our life

One thing I love about Shownu is that he doesn't use the status of being "the leader" unless it's to introduce the group for the first time, no offense to other leaders who do this with their members. Shownu doesn't create a separation between him and the other members. That might be one of the reasons why they don't even see I.M as the maknae, especially because since the beginning I.M refused to behave like a maknae just because he is one. In Monsta X everyone has the same status and that's how a family-like dynamic works and creates a powerful group.

Shownu is one of the purest souls out there

One of the most real kpop idol in existence. Doesn't even surgarcoat his words and just want to always give his best no matter what. Hats off to you, dearest Shownu....

Shownu is just someone you would want to spend the rest of your life with. I'm a I.M. Stan but Shownu just really means a lot to me because I find him as like a father like person to me not kidding. I love Shownu so very much and love all the things he does with his members to keep them happy 😊💙✨💫

I feel like him and Bang Yongguk are the best people out there right now. Not only they are polite and humble, but they know what to do to make people feel better without doing much and yet they blush everytime there are compliments..And they understand that this industry is heavy and that no one should be fighting and instead working to make it lighter and better. this is why I think I am liking Shownu! he reminds me of Yongguk in how they both are this silent and observant leaders and doing the best for the team. (plus there is something about these strong guys (yea, Yongguk is thin but you know..) being shy and blushing at compliments.
