Based bird pick. Honestly I think aside from Noctowl, Unfezant is the only starter bird that has a total lack of in game and metagame viability. However it’s criminal that Unfezant does not learn both Hurricane and Brave Bird via level up. But maybe give it either technician, aerialiate or scrappy to make use of its normal movepool

Mightyena needed a mega evolution. Houndoom got one. Manectric got one. Absol got one. Those guys already had some love from the community based on their designs, but mightyena is literally just a husky. And his stats could've really used the mega treatment. Maybe because a bunch of grunts have mightyenas so it would be weird if none of them can mega evolve it IDK. Maxie and Archie got mega camerupt and mega sharpedo, so may tabitha/shelly or them can get a mega mightyena?

Little late to this one but I'm glad to see this series back again! As an amateur creator still trying to learn things each day I really do feel that burnout when growth hasn't been as consistent. I do wanna say congrats for when you hit 5k subs back at the end of the year (now if only I could hit 50 followers on twitch :p so close) and I really do hope and wish for your continued growth going forward as you discover more about the kind of content you enjoy making and expand your repertoire. And as for the comment question I would answer but you already answered for me as my choice would be seviper and zangoose. If I had to go with something else I would say (and I know this has been discussed to death regarding evos buuut...) dunsparce, its a pokemon with an incredible amount of diversity and a pretty good ability already, the only thing it really lacks is a good stat pool buffing that up could really make it a fun niche pick or even something reliably viable, plus I think there's a lot of cool ideas you could do with its design, if something like mawile can shoot up to competitive relevance than so can dunsparce. Going back to what I was saying earlier obviously if you need to take a mental break from production that's definitely important and should be prioritized but hey, with the end somewhat in sight who knows, might help with creative motivation. and if things do get tough, you can take solace in knowing you have a humble and loyal community here to support you!

I binged watched this sereis as I played emerald on my ds lite with a legit cart. I want to say I love this series and it has lightened up my mood during finals. Im a college student as well so I understand you being occupied. Dont feel pressured to pump out content and focus on your academics or other personal goals. I loved the presidents gameplay and commentary. All 3 have provided excellent tips and strategies for this game and used the info in my own play through. I managed to beat the champion and caught latios along with the legendary trio. I just need to catch the Regi trio. I hope the presidents also catch the legendaries as well. Overall great comedic and helpful series about emerald. I wish you well in life and remember to stay frosty.😎

Hey glad to the Goats are back. For todays question: Solrock, Lunatone, and Claydol all deserve Megas. You literally have a sun and moon to work with. The could almost be legendary if done right. In the anime Claydol was some ancient clamity that got sealed or some sh:t. It’s mega has the potential to be the most interesting lore and design. Also here’s a question for people to chew on. How come there aren’t more cool Pokémon hidden throughout the regions? Like all the legendary’s and rare mon’s should’ve utilized to highlight areas in the region. As we move into 3d games how cool would be it be to fly through a thunderstorm and see a Zapdos, or diving in ocean to Kyoger swimming past. Even in old games it would to go to temple or something complete some puzzles and boom you got a fight the boss. Probably one biggest missed opportunity in the Pokémon series right now.

Okay for a generation so focused on space it seems like this is really weird they didn’t factor in the story or lore at all. I think what Solrock needs is to follow primal groudon and and basically show some cracks with fire coming out like it’s about to explode with power, it would also be cool if it had some stuff orbiting it. It should get a move like Supernova or Black Hole. One a powerful fire move and the other a psychic move. Lunatone should become a full moon and have some water as arms or like as jelly Pokémon. It should have something like tidal crush or moon landing. Tidal crush is self explanatory but moon landing should be like the moon from Mejora’s mask. It literally just increases gravity and plows into the opponent. It would be if these mons had the effect of increasing and decreasing gravity on the field. All Pokémon become slower and all Pokémon can levitate. This would create some interesting dynamics I’m sure. Then again I’m really into the competitive scene, so who knows if there would be any reason for these to be used. Keep it man and thanks for the response

As for the question I feel like Houndoom should have got a mega evolution because the design idea from dookieshed. He said that the mega Houndoom would grow 3 heads and would look like cerberus from greek mythology. I agree because it would look awesome and scary. note: I meant as an alternative form to its original mega evolution

I think generation 5 as a whole was completely disregarded when it came to picking Megas, despite the fact that it was the generation right before they were introduced. However since Nintendo loves its fanfare, they went with popular mons first. That all being said, I think Krookodile or maybe Haxorous should have gotten Megas.

Totally agree, heres the thing which gen do you think got screwed over the most by not getting as many mega evolutions, gen 5 or gen 6? Cuz they both got screwed over pretty hard.

Facts but I think a lot of it was due to both Gen V heavy hitters having relatively insane base stat totals giving them a broken advantage during its time. Probably we never got new Megas after Gen VI. But the powercreep definitely allows it now. Like Mega Haxorous with a second stab and 100bst increase would be insane.

Fax I can agree why cycrog here, gen 5 seemed like the real start of the powercreep, so I think a lot of gen 1-4 pokemon got megas for an attempt at making the early favorites relevant in the meta and the eyes of newer fans more.

Fax the gen 2 starters honestly seemed designed for megas. All of them would look so good. Amplify the dinosaur theme off meganium, make feraligatr more menacing, and typhlosion just needs a little design change with a bigger fire. They could be so sick.

I'll be honest I think both seviper and zangoose deserve megas along with flygon and I wouldn't mind if Ninetales or Zoroark would get a mega aswell. As for my reasons Ninetales is based on a kitsune so I think it would change to focus on it's spiritual powers and becoming either fire ghost or fire psychic and gain the ability curse body. For Zoroark it would probably become fearce almost something to like werewolf and getting the ability moxie or something similar.

QOTD: God honestly I’m glad this series is back. Aside from Mega Flygon because Bug/Dragon is something I want for so long, with Tinted Lens for the offensive bug STAB. Mega Luxray is a Pokémon I think needs to be realized due to how popular Luxray definitely is, being likely the type to benefit from a temporary second dark type stab to play more into its physical movepool diversity. Maybe give it compound eyes based it’s superior vision or even intimidate to make it -2 double intimidate gimmick But W take on the Mega Zangoose/Mega Seviper since giving honestly I always would think Mega Zangoose would become Normal/Steel with Guts and Mega Seviper to be Poison/Dark with Corrosion taking their evolutionary dynamic even further.

i love the bug/dragon that the bigger rom hacks often give to flygon. Choice specs/scarf bug buzz/dracos/earth power are so fun to use. Also a fan of the dark/electric luxray. It seems like you're more into the type changes that come with megas which is fair. shocking to me that mega gyarados became dark out of nowhere, I was sure they were gonna make him a dragon but maybe water/dragon is too broken idk. also yeah i had to nerd out the evolutionary biology of zangoose/seviper. When I learned about "evolutionary arms races" in college, I immediately thought of zangoose and seviper haha. Nice to be back man. Thanks for the support as always. Hope you liked the episode.

@@Dylxan327 Yeah Bug/Dragon romhacks Flygon goes hard, but most notably I see that Bug Megas tend to have the most insane cases of powercreep as opposed to their base forms, though a tinted lens Mega Flygon would just be a more insanely versatile Lokix which is a great mon already. Though I honestly had the same evolutionary arms race gimmick with Mega Durant and Mega Heatmor, I love it when Pokémon actually takes cues from a real world biological perspective. But real talk. Your series has really kept me entertained and high spirited during my wife’s pregnancy, and we had a nice time catching up during the parental leave so it was a pleasant surprise to see this series continue.

@@Dylxan327 Also I think that GF intended to make Mega Gyrados Water/Dark to potentially make a Water/Fairy Mega Milotic to pair the two. But like Mega Flygon the design was intended but a concept wasn’t realized nor prioritized because GF has a clear disconnect with their fan base and their input.
