My favorite starter is Chimchar it's the fastest starter and can be either physical or special. Also Joe Chicorita or however it's spelt is one of the worst Starters in history,it's moveset is horrible and it's stats are terrible.Please stop being a ignorant sus animal-horny creep.

Helpful fact for hidden power: you can use the move against a kecleon and it will transform to whatever type the hidden power is, letting you know immediately what it is. There are a-lot of them invisibly on the map near fortree city

yessir super useful. I personally like the idea of narrowing down the possibilites based on type effectiveness against other random pokemon and trainers. just a fun little way of testing pokemon knowledge IMO.

Squirtle line was my favorite for most of my life, but when I tried to quit smoking in my thirties I chewed on toothpicks and developed a kinship with sceptile. I really wish they'd done something to make leaf blade more viable for it in later generations

Facts that's wholesome as hell love to hear it. It does kinda suck that gen 3 sceptile was the best he's ever been, kind of got screwed over by the physical special split with leaf blade/crunch/thunderpunch. But at least he gets swords dance and a mega evolution I guess.

Donald is technically not wrong on Chikorita to an extent. In Johto, it has a huge disadvantage being a pure Grass type, especially early in the game with the first four gym leaders being problematic. Not to mention the Elite Four has type coverage as well as Champion Lance, who uses a full team of Flying Pokémon. Also, my favorite starter is Fuecoco from Scarlet and Violet. A crocodile starter separates itself from the Chinese Zodiac theme the others are known for. Not to mention it has a very unique signature move Torch Song and I love the color scheme.

Exactly. At least Charmander got Metal Claw for type coverage in Fire Red and Leaf Green and despite being a fan favorite due to the Pokémon anime, it was considered the worst of the Kantonian starters due to the fact that it wasn't as viable as the other Fire starter Pokémon until Generation 6 when Mega Evolution was introduced as a gimmick mechanic following the release of Pokémon X and Y. Chikorita never get the same treatment in Heart Gold and Soul Silver whereas its compatriot Totodile did with Ice Fang, which is disappointing to say at the least. The only viable moves it could learn by level up were either Grass or Normal, which especially made Morty a problematic trainer due to one Ghost is immune to Normal and two his entire team is Poison typed.

My favorite starter's gotta be Meowscarada, in my first Violet playthrough Quaquavel was a disappointment, so I did a second (challenge) playthrough, and the Meowscarada line was AMAZING, I was able to build a actually build an attachment to the object on my screen. Amazing experience 10/10.

My favourite starter is 100% torterra. He is so sweet while also being badass. And while I don’t think it is the best starter in sinnoh (infernape obviously wins that title) but I still think it is a good Pokémon with extremely early earthquake. I’m happy to see Jan’s reaction to zangoose. That was pretty funny. Also Kennedys appearance was great. Poor nincada. I thought you were gonna get shedinja and then release it as well as the ninjask to be free from torture. But instead we got a shitty memorial that was just there to advertise the channel. Zigzagging is definitely a better hm slave tho. It also sweeps the elite 4 which is pretty cool I guess. And I am so down for the best of 3 showdown episode. And since you didn’t get the water type this episode, I may as boost my chances for boat to be a possible name.

Holy crap! This episode was an absolute roller-coaster! A lotta stuff just happened and it's getting absolutely interesting. That being said, my favorite starter Pokémon would be Feraligatr. Without a doubt, Piplup is my favorite starter. Becomes regal AF through its line and is a powerful Sp. Atk sweeper with decent defense thanks to its Steel Typing. That same reason makes its two only weaknesses Electric and Ground.

Great episode once again! Can’t wait to see what water Pokémon is chosen. My favorite starter lines (I have two because can’t decide on one) are the charmander and scorbunny lines. I like the charmander line because of its design and I am really enthusiastic about Charizard because it is a Pokémon that has carried me through multiple playthroughs along with its many gimmicks, it’s unique fire starter typing, and it’s moveset. I like the scorbunny line because of its cuteness and strength. I also used this line in a SwSh nuzzlocke and it helped me out a lot. I also like using its gigantamax form and it’s libero ability (In gen 8 because gen 9 ruined the ability).

The IASIP reference was incredible "through Arceus, all things are possible, so jot that down."

My favorite starter was always Torchic into Blazaken. Such a cool design and great overall stats. I'm exited for the game off I think this is a fair way of going about it. 4:45 I love how Obama defends Chikorita. So cute. I was devastated when it evolved into Bayleef. The event was so tragic I acted like a little 10 year old weirdo back in 2003 who ruined a perfectly good family get together. I threw a tantrum silently. I even got a giant Chikorita plush that I still have 22 years later. I was so confused and mixed with emotions and I never had another family get together after that.

My favorite starter pokemon is empoleon. His pre-evolution piplup is very cute and used by Dawn in the anime, and his unique steel/water typing give him an interesting and useful niche in both the main games and in competitive play.

All three of the hoenn starters are bangers. Great design, great functionality. All three are memorable and viable options. I may be a bit biased, emerald and platinum are some of my favorite games.

My favourite starter ever is actually primarina. Excellent bulky attacker with a wide movepool that allows it to beat a lot of important battles. Also excellent in competitive and it was a lot of fun alongside Lana in the anime

havent heard that one before! I'm not a huge fan of any of the gen 7 starters honestly.

My favourite starter line has to be Charmander. It's not great in the immediate beginning of Fire Red and Leaf Green but I think it adds to the challenge aspect of starting out as a Pokémon Trainer. Mid to late game it becomes a fire breathing dragon in all but type and has some killer moves. Flamethrower has to have the best animation in Gen 3 imo. It was go to Pokémon when I replayed Fire Red and when I played Pokémon X. It's also the only other Pokémon besides Mewtwo to get two different Mega Evolutions, adding more options in battle and competitive play

Chimchar is definitely my favorite. mudkip is a close second to be fair.

I actually do have chicorita (if I spelled that wrong I am sorry) as one of my favorites, my second favorite is sobble because 1, sobble is very cute, 2 it is a good option for its generation’s third gym, 3 intelieon is a menace and is also very good, and 4 how could you not love that snipe shot animation?

The inteleon line has a special place for me too because there was a period of time I was really into the trading card game, and the sobble/drizzile/inteleon line actually serve a really good support role for the deck I would run. And I had a really cool shiny inteleon card with a gold background.

Well sky is my favorite starter line so it's amazing to watch this series. And sad to see it won't be crawdaunt but my vote is sharpedo because I love a da shark

mmmmm keep commenting you want a wailmer I'm planning on doing a special right before the elite four where I go catch pokemon and name them after my viewers, then see how far they can go in the elite four by themselves. If I see a whole bunch of wailmers from ya I'll probably do that for ya and give you a shoutout.

A little bit late, check on this one, but I would say the Incineroar starter line is my favorite. Purely because it ends with that thick wrestling boy. He’s a beast and one of my favorites in smash Bros ultimate.

Oooooo a best of three series and the winner gets the water Pokémon?! Let’s go team Joe! Donald will feel the power of the Whiskash! And my favorite starter line I think has got to be a tie between turtwig and Scorbunny. In scorbunnys case, rabbits and bunnies are my favorite anime of all time and I almost never picked the fire starter till the bunny came. And Turtwig as I love turtles and with it’s ground typing they remain me of elder dragon turtles in mythology and in the Avatar series where one taught Aang how to remove someone’s binding and carrying the earth on your shell makes it amazing. I name the turtwig Gaia for that reason and Scorbunny Spunky for my pet rabbit I had as a child :>

My favourite is Oshawott as well, he was hilarious in the anime and was my first starter when I got into Pokemon.
