Ismaray Chacon 'Aspirina' interpretando el orisha Elegua de la religion Yoruba.
Elegua siempre es el primer orisha que aparece para abrir caminos y el ultimo que se va.
El puede ser un niño, un viejo, juega con la gente, es jodedor, un poco payaso pero tiene su forma de bailar especifica con el canto y los toques de bata, que cuentan la historia que esta interpretando.

He Killed it! Wow! As im watching the different orisha dances, just recent ly saw ochosi, and oya (oya was sexy, elegant, put powerful and commanding) But i couldn't imagine a Bette r dancer representing the force of elegua: wild, playful , unpredictable, giving, erratic but totally aware with control of his every move yet baffling to people! Btw, before i received my elekes many.years ago i was told this is my father orisha/guardian :-) I always feel drawn to his energy, And so many aspects of his personalities reminds me of myself

Please give me a Url where I can see "male" dancers do this!!!! My perception of my Orisha is as a male I would like to see this dance done by a male master. I would feel the same if a male dance for Ochun or Yemoja. I just do feel it.

Males do the same as the women for elegua but you can your own style to it, same as the oggun and ochosi dance.
