SHOW ME Osezaki Lighthouse | Nagasaki Japan

Destination Earth Presents "SHOW ME Osezaki Lighthouse | Nagasaki Japan"
Today is our last day in Japan, which means this is the last video from our series in Japan! We had a wonderful time exploring southern Japan from the main city of Nagasaki to Sasebo to the Goto Islands at Fukue.
The Osesaki Lighthouse was the perfect place to end our trip. This very southern tip of Fukue island offered breath taking views with cliffs, mountains and Pacific ocean.
Here is a bit of background on the lighthouse itself:
Osesaki Lighthouse, located on Fukue Island in the Goto Islands of Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, is a notable landmark known for its picturesque setting and historical significance.
Historical Significance: Built in 1879, Osesaki Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in the Goto Islands. It has played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of maritime navigation in the region, guiding ships through the East China Sea and the complex waters around the islands.
The lighthouse features a classic design typical of the Meiji-era lighthouses in Japan. It stands at a height of approximately 17 meters (56 feet) and is constructed with white-painted masonry, making it a striking sight against the coastal landscape.
Situated on the southern tip of Fukue Island, Osesaki Lighthouse offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding sea, rugged coastline, and nearby islands. The vantage point is particularly beautiful at sunrise and sunset.

It really was a fantastic trip! Looking forward to sharing the next adventure next week! We are looking at going back to Japan in 2025 after the baby is born for his first trip and filming! Until then, I have to stretch out these videos as we don't have any travel plans this year while Akane is pregnant. Thanks for watching as always!

Always sad when a trip comes to an end but nice to go out on a high. Looked a real nice trail up to the lighthouse albeit a bit on the steep side. Worth it mind for the views and a great way to bring down the curtain on a great trip, cheers Alan

Hahahah glad you caught the cut off! We will be starting a new series this week, so we are excited to show that. Won't tell you where yet, but you've recently been there, and it's in the USA! Maybe that will help narrow it down for you!
