Heres what i notice both Maximus and Preston had in common. Both of their childhood a certain faction came to their rescue and idolized them, when growing old they join their respective faction. Therefore fallout tv series had reference alot. Maximus was black same as Preston, Hated Raiders and will shoot in sight.

I mean who doesn't hate raiders? Preston is a lot more lawfully good than Maximus. And I think that backstory of being inspired to join a faction isn't uncommon.

Im pretty sure the ghoul used it in his first encounter with lucy as you can see he shoots 3 guys in a row so fast they couldnt react and what i think they're doing is showing us what vats looks like to a normal person who has no clue about it
