I used to go see these guys in Charleston, SC, back in 2009 at the Pour House on James Island. I've given their albums to more people for Christmasses and birthdays than I can count. Any time a barista has a good play list, they get recommended Shovels and Rope from me. Happened just yesterday. Pity I missed the Seattle show -- having just moved away from Seattle a couple of months prior!

these two artists captured my time and memories from living in the Birmingham to Chattanooga area in another life that i hold dear in my secret heart. i was so glad to hear this music.

The energy is magic! Not only good music, but good chemistry in the music. Wow! Much success to you guys!

I had the pleasure of hearing these guys for the first time last night at a Jack White concert. They are incredible. Such heart. Heck of a show. I went straight to the merch booth and bought their album on vinyl and got it signed by Cary Ann. She was nice enough to have a short conversation and sign my album. I can't wait to see them again.

Aww man I miss Seattle. Just moved to NYC, which is a great city, but those KEXP mural shows are epic and laid back at the same time. Beautiful setting. Also see: Sasquatch Festival

Saw the Edgefield Winery show. Lucky to live just a mile up the hillside from there. My first thought on hearing them live is that Cary Ann is a perfect blend of Dolly Parton and Janis Joplin. That's about as high on the compliment chart as I ever get.
