    These two are evidence that real music is being made while the country and the mainstream are distracted by the worst of human attributes. The beauty and the magnificence of true creativity never fades. Cary Ann Hearst is a national treasure IMHO. There are many others....seek them out..

    Was real nice to pick up on their tunes and to have them dominate my playlists via spotify, but to see this song expressed live is just pure religion. It's gorgeous beyond literal expression. What a marvellous act.

    WOWOWOWOWOWOW. They are so amazing. We saw them in Portland and I honestly haven't seen a better concert in ages. We just bought tickets to see them in April. THIS IS REAL MUSIC>

    only seen em live and i refuse to listen to a studio recording. this is as close as i'll come. snuck into a show here in houston, never having heard of them, and they rocked my ass. love Shovels and Rope. so much love when they play together.

    David Dickens is absolutely correct. Shovels & Rope are Excellent listening and also worth watching aswell. Really good pair together, very real. Loved the performance. Thank you guys will be keeping tabs on you and mentioning you guys as 'hot' to listen to to my pals. Thanks again.

    Dylan, ,Bruce, Dolly, Melissa Ethridge, mazzy star... but does any of that matter? Mike & Cary Ann's voices are my absolute favorite out of all...authentic and pure. ... authentic. period. and that look in their eyes, that HEART they push out. --thank you S&R.

    @@fritzhaber7310 Ha! Thanks Andy. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed S&R's performance. Lots of energy and talent. I'm so impressed that they can play multiple instruments and sing all at the same time. They sound like a 4-5 piece band! Tedeschi Trucks Band was over the top! I love watching their videos, but they don't come close to what you experience live. The whole evening was amazing!

    Wow! Shovels and Rope are a great duo! I've always had a soft spot for duos -the White Stripes, BlacK Keys and other such groups. And now Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent. They have some grit in their playing, but a lot of musicality too. I do wonder, though, who recorded this. The guitars are way too loud!These folks are not Jimmy Page - it is their words that are the most important things. Let us hear them!

    She is playing a Gibson LG O. From the look of the bridge, it is probably pre 1961 because it has a rectangular bridge. They were all mahogany entry level guitars.

    It's a lower end model from 50's-60's, I believe. I had one. Not good guitars--as you can probably tell by the damned thing being annoyingly out of tune. Almost ruined this otherwise great song.

    Jeffrey McMillan I doubt any musician sets out to play with a guitar out of tune. Some chords were in tune and some were out of tune. Probably an issue with the guitar
