These two are evidence that real music is being made while the country and the mainstream are distracted by the worst of human attributes. The beauty and the magnificence of true creativity never fades. Cary Ann Hearst is a national treasure IMHO. There are many others....seek them out..

I am completely obsessed with these two. When you have it, you have it... And these two definitely have it.

i absolutely love her voice!!

Was real nice to pick up on their tunes and to have them dominate my playlists via spotify, but to see this song expressed live is just pure religion. It's gorgeous beyond literal expression. What a marvellous act.

WOWOWOWOWOWOW. They are so amazing. We saw them in Portland and I honestly haven't seen a better concert in ages. We just bought tickets to see them in April. THIS IS REAL MUSIC>

I'm so impressed that they can play multiple instruments and sing all at the same time. They sound like a 4-5 piece band! Tedeschi Trucks Band was over the top! I love watching their videos, but they don't come close to what you experience live. The whole evening was amazing!

Don t think so. I heard a one hour interview on NPR with this husband and wife group. They've been together for many years now and prefer the simplicity of their music.

Wow! Shovels and Rope are a great duo! I've always had a soft spot for duos -the White Stripes, BlacK Keys and other such groups. And now Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent. They have some grit in their playing, but a lot of musicality too. I do wonder, though, who recorded this. The guitars are way too loud!These folks are not Jimmy Page - it is their words that are the most important things. Let us hear them!

Holy Crap!!! That's Cary Ann Hearst?!?! No wonder I love this duo so much. I have only heard of Cary Ann Hearst from Spotify and have never seen her live nor Shovels and Rope which I discovered the same way. I love Cary....something about her voice......perfect for her style.

She is playing a Gibson LG O. From the look of the bridge, it is probably pre 1961 because it has a rectangular bridge. They were all mahogany entry level guitars.

It's a lower end model from 50's-60's, I believe. I had one. Not good guitars--as you can probably tell by the damned thing being annoyingly out of tune. Almost ruined this otherwise great song.

Jeffrey McMillan I doubt any musician sets out to play with a guitar out of tune. Some chords were in tune and some were out of tune. Probably an issue with the guitar

I feel bad for this generation. They grow up idolizing Miley Cyrus and other mediocre musicians when they could be inspired by beautiful people like Michael and Cary Ann.
