This is fabulous. I’ve been suffering from this issue for 3 years. And non of the doctors, consultants, physiotherapists or chiropractors could explain it they way you did in just a few minutes. Hats off!

you helped me do much with this video. I had an epiphany. I could not figure out which one of my lifts were causing me shoulder pain, I've been rotating out all of the obvious ones. It seems to come and go at random. But the whole section around 2:20-2:36 , it's my stationary bike cardio! My posture while going hard on the bike is totally doing what you described. That's when it started, when I'm doing it daily is when it hurts the most, it wasn't my weight training at all. I cannot thank you enough

I had bicep tendonitis for 10 weeks. Awful nerve impingement going down my arm and lats. Now more like a weakness and pain with an arc motion. Osteopath 4 weeks ago nearly diagnosed shouldet impingement. Shoulder blade feels stiff and restricted to although he did free some of that up. Over arm wall stretch exercise l do daily x3 seems not to alleviate stiffness or pain but has strangely made it feel stronger.Strange!

Pain Ache Lt top anterior humerus and mid scapula aggravated esp w/ swimming pulling down back or sleeping on Lt side arm forward. Past Hx noted Slight ache w/ swimming but now more persistent X 3yrs after during progressive increased number of push-ups ( 400/day ). Always daily routine 100 push-up 40 pull ups. Despite daily scapula exercises ( pulling back back strokes or half back scooping ) now even after sleeping on back, resting or consciously pulling back late w/ swimming I had consistent pain ache after my swim. Rotator cuff muscle / s tear? Suggestions? Thank you

that was enlightening! getting the shoulder blade out of the way (posterior tilt??) to increase the range of (forward) flexion. How about abduction? I fell & dunno what happened but I lost flexion & abduction. I took some anti-inflammatories & I'm regaining flexion. BUT abduction has seen no improvement at all. Any idea what's the problem? btw it's been 3 weeks since my fall

I'm an avid crocheter and I've been having some pain on my arm and shoulders lately. Considering I could crochet for hours on end, it wouldn't surprise me if there were actually some damage there...

  • @SportsInjuryPhysio

Sounds like an overuse injury - the problem with crochet is that it uses very small repetitive movements in the shoulder. Just like with computer work, it will really help (once you've recovered) to take a short break every 30 minutes to take a short break and just move your arms and everything.

I'm 30, with very good genetics for building muscle, though I have never been able to stay in gym cause my left scapula and shoulder feels out of position and this continued to force me to stop my gym habit after about 1-2 months, every time. It makes me very sad. I have been meeting several fysio therapists and even took x ray, tried several corrective exercise programs. Nothing seems to work 😞.

i injured myself in august and it was right around december- january the pain went away, im late to the game but i’ve been working out again this month with semi issues, more psychological than anything cause im just of afraid of screwing up against me maybe a slight pinch in my trap/shoulder area on my right shoulder more than my left. since i got an impingement in both, my left is completely healed

Where is the main pain with impingement. My main pain is in the bicep. I had a ct arthrogram and it shows a labral tear. The second surgeon said, he wasn’t sure how to read a ct arthrogram and was guessing at the images and doesn’t think I have a labral tear but thinks I have impingement. My main pain is in the biceps. I also have popping, cracking and snapping in the bicep area

  • @SportsInjuryPhysio

So, if the surgeon admitted to not being good at reading those scans, I would trust the report from the radiologist who reads the scans for a living. Also, labral tears often affect the biceps tendon because the long head of biceps attaches onto the labrum - it's called a SLAP lesion when that is affected. We only have this video about SLAP lesions: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mp2l29mslafKmKQ.html

I have minor shoulder discomfort, when I try to rotate my arm, it always feels like something is bumbing and scratching on something in the process once. Like a weird click of crackling, only it's constantly repeats each time I rotate, even if I do it 10 times in a raw and I really feel it as well. So I'm searching for how to recognize signs of early shoulder impingment but imma be honest with you chief I clicked the video just for the chick
