Hi may I ask for some advice. I think I would like to try this in order to try and afford my daughter's equipment. I feel less shame in providing something for a small margin than a go fund me thing. Do you think a £2 margin would work or would it succumb to negative margin somehow. I can't figure another way to cover additional equipment needs without trading away my weekend I spend with her. Otherwise what's the point in a child right? Be a ruthless as you need. Thanks in advance David FB baby aria stroke survivor

Great video!!! I am 16 years old and have been thinking about creating a small clothing brand. The main problem for me is finding the manufacture, everything else is almost good. Is there a way to contact the manufacturer? I have watched many videos about how to find the right manufacturer and every single one of them said to actually FaceTime them to see their factories and if they are valid. Also, another important thing is if they do split payments. From the videos, they said it is better to pay the manufacturer into 3 different categories. Pay them once when they print, second when they pack, and third when they ship it out. I just want to make sure I find a trustful manufacturer and not get scammed or anything like that. But thanks for the great video!

This is not something I’m experienced in as I focus more on POD.
I use Gelato and Etsy. It kinda sucks that you have to pay upfront to Gelato, then get paid later by Etsy. I got a lot of orders recently and I had to pay a huge chunk out of pocket!
do i have to pay for the product on gelato in order for customers to receive it? or is the shipping already taken out of the customers money?
do they remove double tax if I connect my etsy store? like how printify isnt charging me tax again for USA orders because etsy is already taking the tax from the customers?
Thank you Kerry! I love Gelato! My store is live. 😊

Whats the print quality like? Does it feel plastic'y or like it is going to crack at any moment? Also what about Printify or Printful in comparison?
for the packaging, is there any indication for gelato
Do you have to have your own e-commerce store or can people find your product directly on gelato
Do you need to pay the listing fees for Etsy upfront while using gelato??
they dont have the 'coming soon' link anymore, but i see this video was 6 months ago. I'm surprised they dont sell stickers.

You can setup specific shipping cost per country, but generally your pricing will need to stay the same. I just make sure I’m covering the higher shipping. If you’re using Gelato, shipping is similar no matter where you are selling, due to them having print partners locally around the world.

What is their return policy like? So if I'm a seller in the US, and someone from Australia buys a shirt I understand it'll be printed and shipped locally. But then if the person wants to return it and get a refund, exactly how does that sort itself out? Does it get returned to the local manufacturer and I refund the customer? Just curious where the product ends up at if the customers returns and wants a refund.
@KerryEgeler

So this is the same with all PODs, but for buyers remorse (the customer just doesn’t want it) it would have to come back to you, no matter where you are located. Gelato will take care of any quality issues, but anything that falls on the customer would be between your business and the customer. I would have a solid international returns policy on your website to protect you in this scenario.
My biggest complaint is the limited variants.
How about the orders, are they automatically paid to the gelato when the order is placed. I made an online store on shopify, downloaded the print on demand application (connected gelato with shopify), when I tested the first product, gelato only sends an order without this order being processed.
@KerryEgeler
3 ай бұрын
Your business pays the Print On Demand Company, and you get paid from Shopify typically 48 hours after the order is placed. The way around fronting the money for the order would be to set your order fulfillment to manual. This would allow you to wait until Shopify pays your business, and then you would manually begin processing through Gelato.
I'm still debating Kittl and Gelato for my ecom store.
