Have used camera raw for years in preference to lightroom. It's so convenient to load your raw images into camera raw and then when finished editing, open them all up in photoshop with one click before any further edits and saving as jpegs.

you can do this by startuing in lr also, as pointed out, essentially develop module in lr and camera raw are the same processing engine, which is what confuses me as to which way yo go as i like the organisational aspects of lr, plus there's no preview pane in camera raw if looking at presets

I use them all. I fisrt make a second compy of my photos to my computer. Its my clients folder. I then open up light room to compare footage in that folder. I delete files from disk in LightRoom which deletes them in my folder. Then I take that culled or scrubbed client folder & take the photos into photoshop. I have it set up so when I drag files into Photoshop Camera Raw comes up first so I can edit the picture Then I press done & I have my edited picture in Photoshop. 😄

I used to exclusively use Lightroom but since the ACR upgrade, this have completely changed with all my editing being within the Photoshop eco system. I find layers easier that making lots of multiple images in Lightroom when using third party filters and can always use ACR as a filter itself. Also a fan of Bridge - again it is very powerful and suits my workflow. Great fan of Anthony's videos and another great one here.

I have always used Adobe Camera RAW (with Bridge) over Lightroom for years. It gives me full control over my library and files. I have found the recent update a little bit of step back as they have removed the Icons to move between panels, which really was the key feature which made Camera RAW a far more powerful piece of software.

I needed this video. I started using Lightroom CC late last year, then several months ago started using Lightroom Classic for edits that didn't need Photoshop functions. Then, as of today, just mere hours ago, I opened up Camera RAW in in Photoshop to check it out and seen that is looked pretty much 100% similar to Lightroom Classic so your video explained the differences between them.

I have been using Camera RAW for a few days and find that it's a great tool. I like the simplicity which is similar to Lr but is within the Photoshop reals. I like that I can bring my RAW image right into it and get to work.

what about the organising side of lr with collections, search features etc. are they superior to adobe bridge? i tend to use smart collections a lot

When I got the new camera raw update I was givin a choice of layout. My layout doesn't look like this one. How do I switch layouts to get to this one ??

A really good presentation. I am relatively new to photo editing (mostly Premiere Pro with videos until the pandemic). I have been using Bridge and camera raw into PS, but I hear so much about LR. Your movie cleared it up for me. No need to change what I am doing, especially now since LR appears to be about identical to camera raw in its editing capabilities. Thanks again for a succinct, to the point video. I look forward to your entire oeuvre (I know, that word sounds pretentious but it really is the best word. :) )

Always enjoy your very informative videos. One of the reasons I use Lightroom is that I have many special print templates set up for both test prints and final prints. I also use virtual copies quite a bit and that feature is not included in ACR in Photoshop. As far as Bridge is concerned I have used Lightroom for about 8 years and don't see enough benefits to make a change at this point in time.

I definitely use Camera Raw in PS more since it received its facelift. I much prefer the lightroom style layout over the older layout.

Adobe Camera Raw (base edits), open in PS. Then I reopen in camera raw or head straight to building my layers. When you open a raw file directly with camera raw you get Base editing, but then once you open the file in Photoshop and reopen in camera raw again you get more options. You can see that in this video.

My Library module in Lightroom totally crapped out. The only pictures I can access are the most recent ones uploaded. You just convinced me to switch over to RAW. Thank you Anthony. I tried it out and love it. Just have to get used to the new layout😁👍

I've started using PS a lot more for finishing my pictures now, and have been learning how to use luminosity masks and more complex blending. Having used LR since it's inception I'm far more comfortable with that environment and perhaps prefer the way certain things are done. However now I often use ACR a smart filter in PS rather than flipping back to LR. It's nice to have the option and I'm glad they are very similar, but TBH I don't really understand why there should be any differences in appearances at all.

Thanks Anthony - I do use ACR more than Lightroom, especially if I have taken a small group of pictures and just want to edit 1 or 2. If I have been on a vacation and have taken hundreds or thousands of pictures then I will import them into Lightroom for sorting and culling etc. There are 1 or 2 "automation" tasks that Adobe Bridge will do that Photoshop will not (or would not last time I needed them) but otherwise I don't use Adobe Bridge.

It would be great if in LR raw files could be selected to automatically open ACR

Anthony, thank you for another great tutorial. Just processing holiday photos and got dust (sand?) on the inside of my Canon G5X Mark ii compact (on day 2!). I am able to open ACR from Adobe Bridge, quickly heal the dust mark and press 'done'; it reverts back to Bridge with the original file edited and updated. Adobe Bridge is excellent for combining and selecting photos/movies from different cameras. I will explore the other ACR features too. Unfortunately, I still have to resolve the problem of dust on my lens!

Yes RAW for me but always sharpen in PS with smart sharpen or High Pass, that way I don't seem to get the worm artefacts.

I too use PS as a LR plugin. This might be useful to avoid extra LR-to-PS round trips.

I'm still learning. Two years ago I purchased ON1 and enjoyed using it. I have been training for real estate photography using the Flambiant method. For this you are blending flashed layers to make a well lite photograph. Couldn't get the results with ON1 so I recently purchased the Photoshop bundle with Lightroom. Slot to learn yet but improving as I learn. One thing I saw in a video was a person open Adobe Raw from Lightroom. Cannot seem to find this in Lightroom me. Any suggestions?

I do agree with you that a lot of youth photographers neglected Adobe Bridge with Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop in their workflow and they jump straight into LightRoom. Apparently, these 3 applications toggling to and fro to do different task (ie. Adobe Bridge, Camera Raw and Photoshop) compare to LightRoom. I am not saying LightRoom is not good. It really depends on the workflow. For me, I am a solo photographer and editor, I prefer to use Adobe Bridge with ACR and photoshop. I don't need to waste time imported into LR and etc. However, if you need to catalogue your photo, then LR is the right path... Also, if you work in a group of photographers and editors on cloud, LR is definitely the solution. On social media, there are many debate on LR and Bridge with ACR. Honestly, this is a never ending story. Dont forget 1 important thing. Lightroom build from Adobe Bridge, Camera Raw and linkage to Photoshop, ALL-In-1, of course with addon features. Most importantly, your preference smooth efficent workflow is the priority. 1 last time I would like to highlgh is the essential to convert various raw files to DNG even though LR or ACR can edit directly. Raw files files definitely bigger than DNG. If they import in LR for edit, the performance will definitely drop. Try to import edit a high megapixel photo (45 to 61 megapixel) compare to convert DNG. You will see the difference. Last but not least, enjoy photo editing in your preferred and comfortable way.

Thanks for this video. I may ditch LR because, for all its conveniences , I’m getting fed up with the database aspect. I’m sick of synching old dng folders & keeping track of the separate xml edit files. The idea of hooking up a usb drive, opening up bridge and seeing my original files in all their edited glory really appeals to me

Smart objects have always been a big pluspoint in ACR. Being able to go back into the original RAW file and the re edit is great.

Really love Lightroom. It has 95% of everything I need in one place. (Sports shooter and I edit every image)

I have never used Lightroom because in the earlier versions when it crashed, everything was gone. Instead I used ACDSee as a database and minor changes. So when I started to use Photoshop I also used Camera Raw. With the newest version of it, I use it more and more for the simple adjustments instead of ACDSee (however ACDSee has its own benefits as well).

Does Camera Row software also has LR Sync function to sync several pictures?

I have grown to like Virtual Copies in Lightroom. I have so much editing work done using VCs that going out of Lightroom ecosystem looks daunting to me. If anyone has a suggestion how to convert virtual copy to a RAW image with attached editing history, please share the process.

Have actually never used LR, only CR. Works nicely.

I tried Bridge and Camera Raw but it felt more cumbersome than Lightroom. Since 90% of my processing is in Lightroom I’m sticking with it. However, if you use Photoshop on most of your photos I think it would be better to use the Photoshop ecosystem and avoid Lightroom.

Ironically, I find camera raw and bridge to be less cumbersome than LR. I never liked how the LR catalogs are held separately from your file system on your hard drive. Always seemed like an unnecessary extra step. Plus Camera RAW is just so much better-designed than LR classic.

Hi Anthony, another great video! You say that ACR and Lightroom have the same tools - however the graduated filters are different (ACR two lines and Lightroom three lines.). Why is this and does it make any difference in practice?

I can switch to 32 bit in Ps. for editing, but I''d like to start in CR. with that. I save images to print as 16-bit tif. files. Can I switch to 32-bit in CR, or do I need to do that in Ps.? Go to Bridge 1st? (I haven't used it yet)? I upscale files for printing in Gigapixel.

(1) If I am using ACR mid stream during a Photoshop edit, I believe I would have to merge together the below layers to create a layer that ACR could edit, is that correct? (2) Also there is a way, I think, to have an ACR layer that can be subsequently adjusted using smart objects but I've personally found this confusing. Perhaps you would cover these things in a separate video, it is that important, even that it might be a very short video. Thank you.

Funny you should post this now, it's been a discussion I have been having with my peer group recently and for the month of August I will be ditching LR and trying to replace with Bridge+ACR(&PS). Here's what I have discovered thus far; Lightroom Pros 1) Catalog 2) History 3) Match Total Exposures 4) With Brush/Filter tool work you can control the intensity of the brush work from holding down Alt key on your pin and moving mouse left/right (or up and down I forget). Lightroom Cons 1) SLOW (especially for older machines) Bridge+ACR Pros 1) Faster, for opening, editing, just about every task is quicker 2) Synchronisation is still here, so editing one image or a bunch of images collectively is still possible, hooray! 3) Snapshot Supported (which is a History alternative approach) 4) Ranking, colour lablels, culling, Reject, it's all there still. 5) No waiting for building Previews in Bridge, files open super quick and allow for quick 1:1 zooms. Review Mode is also great, really makes you wonder what LR is doing and why it is so slow and bad in this regard... Bridge+ACR Cons 1) No Catalog, but then is it really needed? 2) No Match Total Exposure feature 3) No History (but then its likely faster because it has no History) 4) No adjusting the intensity of brush/filter tool work like you can in LR via the pin+Alt+mouse move 5) Brush and Filter presets not ported across :( 6) Some navigation problems, no Preview window making moving around the image and zooming in and out a little less intuitive than how LR feels, different modes and the zooming in and out is handled different. Will take some time to adjust to and learn how to move and pan better (space bar is a godsend). At the end of the day ACR seems faster and probably is because it is less feature rich compared to LR, you have to wonder if there is a significant amount of LR users that are feeling the performance pain for features they seldom use. If I am missing a feature in ACR that I use 5% of the time (such as Match Total Exposures) then I will just open those files in LR for that one feature and then carry on my merry way for the rest of the editing process in ACR which produces a more fluid and less frustrating experience.

great breakdown and I've had similar discussions. I'm trying to do the same as you to see how it impacts my workflow. I will say that issue with the speed of LR, and I've really worked on this a lot recently exactly for reasons of speed often center around previews, file types and storage. Such as the loading time of 1:1 and/or smart previews, file formats: for example converting everything into DNG's, adobes own propriety image standard which also houses xmp sidecars rather than separately, and using say an SSD rather than a mechanical external drive for storage. The speed of LR has driven me crazy and its been through hard experience I've learnt how to maximise workflow speed. I want to be able to access a large volume of images across folders at any one time so the LR catalog is important to me. Its hard to expect any program to have the capacity to work flawlessly and with speed when you have upwards of 30,000 images cataloged. And adobe don't make it easy for you to understand what might affect issues of speed and file access.

Hello sir in lightroom we can copy the photos edit and paste in the next photo or sycronise all photos by just doing one picture edit and copy all the settings to other... In camera raw you cannot do this so lightroom is better i feel

@@ronaksavla7584 ACR does support Synchronisation now, if you take (from Bridge) a film strip of say 10 images, then once in ACR highlight them all, the file you're working on will sync the changes (like LR's Auto-Sync) to the other files highlighted. Or alternatively you can work on one image and then synchronise those changes to the other files. But I do not think you can copy/paste like you can in LR (but I may be wrong about that), but Sync is definitely added now.

I find ACR much more convenient if you like photoshop the integration is so much better. For instance if you work with luts you can make them in photoshop push it to acr the save it as a reusable profile. You can’t make profiles in Lightroom only in ACR. Not to mention local edits are much better in photoshop then they are in Lightroom due to advanced masking. The workflow is much smoother for me then relying on a catalog that can bloat and get corrupted.

Hi and thanks so much for the helpful video. The one question I have is to ask if Camera Raw edits are fixed once you open the image in Photoshop? We are always told that the benefit of editing in Lightroom is that the edits are non destructive. Is this the same for Camera Raw?

I'm pretty heavy-handed in my edits, and I LOVE using layers, so most of my work is done in PS. I don't need a cataloging system, and I tend to jump around multiple photoshoots, so LR gets a little crowded with so many libraries going on. I just use it because it's there. Mainly for more important batches of photos I need to focus on, like my portrait sessions. Other than that, I just use ACDSee to browse my folders, but keep everything labeled and organized manually through Windows Explorer. Also, it kind of annoys me when, say in a photo club Facebook group, a newbie asks what the best editor is, and people keep saying Lightroom. Oh, and I HATE it when people say they ONLY use Lightroom, as if they're better for it. For some reason, a lot of LR users turn their noses up at PS. But I'm like, dude, if you only use Lightroom, you're not utilizing all the tools available to you! It's like if a painter thought using a detail round brush is cheating, so they paint an entire piece with only a wall brush.

I never thought about using Camera Raw but after watching your video, I am going to try it😊. I wish you would do a video on processing that picture of the gorilla sometime. I would like to know what to do about that very bright background to the left of his face. Thank you 😊

If you're someone dealing with not only photos, but also video, PDF, CSS, HTML and other file types necessary for more comprehensive content creation, Bridge is the only way to go. As to a photography centric use, I stick with Bridge + ACR + Epson Print Layout for my workflow. This allows me to develop Nikon NEF directly in ACR, as well as tweak TIFF files brought in from the film scanner. I also have some Phase One backs that I initially develop in Capture One then export to TIFF for print.

Anthony, Could you show how to use snap shot in Lightroom?

I I am a Ps user. I cull my photos in Bridge, then do color correction in ACR. Then edit in Ps. I never use Lr. I find the importing requirement repetitious since I have my own file organization. Lightroom just becomes a big headache. And I can’t do without layers.

Anthony, if you open a Canon CRAW in photoshop will that automatically be treated as ACR?

I use only ACR+PS. I tried LR at the beginning but It was very confusing to me. Then I build up knowledge how to use ACR and PS and never tried LR again. Maybe will try soon....but I already have a process that works for me. Probably if I worked with clients or in bulk I would appreciate it but for the moment I have what I need.

I only use Photoshop when I have to for the simple reason that my 25MB RAW file can quickly end up as a >100MB TIFF with it's attendant storage requirements. That aside, I'd love a tutorial showing Bridge + Photoshop vs Lightroom + Photoshop from storage, cataloguing & workflow perspectives.

I believe Lightroom was created to mimic raw. Raw has been around longer. They both do the same thing but look different. The difference is camera raw comes with photoshop and Lightroom is standalone. This is the main reason why I didn't jump to Lightroom. Now that they come together in a subscription I think it's just preferred workflow. I don't need the organization because I organize my hard drives. I prefer the quicker workflow for culling photos in camera raw and the ease of opening images. In the end if you need to "photoshop" an image it's quicker to open one or more images in photoshop from camera raw than Lightroom.

Do the Lightroom keywords translate transparently to Bridge?

One thing that ALWAYS trips me up, is the Radial Filter "Invert" (inside/outside the selection) being opposite to Lightroom, and the keyboard shortcuts to show mask overlay etc are also not consistent between LR and PS

So I just got a camera for school. It’s a Sony a6400, and I’ll be honest with you all, I fucking love it. I’m having such a good time learning this, but there are some things that I really don’t understand.. Like, when I opened a raw file into PS and did the camera raw, it refused to allow me to save it still as a raw. It decided that it was now a tiff. Why? Is this bad? Is this no big deal?

I use LR for its great catalog features that are better than Bridge, so why would I use ACR when I have imported the RAW files into LR, done my selects and created my Collections and then not use LR Develop Module which is the same engine as ACR?

I have started using Camera Raw almost exclusively since the update.

Hi Anthony! I'm glad you brought this up. I've often considered how I might incorporate a Bridge/Camear Raw/Photoshop wokflow instead of a Lightroom only workflow. I guess I'd have to compare the advantages and disadvantages, which would probably be a somewhat subjective comparison. Back before I switched from Windows to Mac I made a half-a** attempt to use Bridge but found it to be a bit overwhelming, so I would welcome a Bridge tutorial. I wonder if any other photographers would use a Photoshop only ecosystem instead of Lightroom and why? Stay safe my friend!

Does ACR create xmp files like LR?

I almost feel they are phasing out Lightroom classic. Photoshop may inherit all the features of Lightroom in camera raw to become the all in one and Lightroom cc will become the "lighter" version for quick and otg editing

If you have the Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom subscription I can see not advantage of using Bridge, then Camera RAW and then Photoshop. Three programmes instead of two does not make sense. 🤷🏼🤷🏼🤷🏼

i only use bridge and camera raw because i like the organisational better in bridge but i do use lightroom to import my images from my sd to ssd

I used Camera Raw a lot but I tend to favour Lightroom these days. I tried to use Bridge a few years ago and I did not find it useful. Perhaps if you did a video on Bridge I may be able to understand it better!!

I only use Camera Raw + Photoshop because I dont like the catalogue/importing system of Lightroom. If I'm not mistaken there is something missing in Camera Raw though. When you apply a preset you can only fully apply it. There is no slider to apply only a percentage of it. If I remember correctly you have that option in LR?

I think Using Bridge with ACR makes for a good substitution for LR.

Yes they are. I think if you have presets in LR they should show up in ACR as well.

Note: The ACR Filter from the Filter menu does NOT behave the same way as ACR that you launch from Bridge (or use within Bridge). The Filter "version" will apply your edits, but in a "destructive" way. So when you click OK on the Camera RAW Filter from within Photoshop, those changes are "baked" into your image, so when you re-open the Camera Raw filter again, all the sliders are reset to 0 (or their defaults) BUT your edits you made the first time around with Camera Raw filter will still be applied, so basically you will be stacking the Camera Raw filter effect. In some cases this can be helpful, but it doesn't function the same way as the true Adobe Camera Raw that you would launch from Bridge or when you first open a RAW file in Photoshop. That filter will save your edits to an XMP file (if you click Done, instead of Open) and thus you can relaunch Adobe Camera Raw again and tweak your edits. They have the same interface, but act differently (the Camera Raw filter in PS acts more like a filter and is a destructive edit unless you apply it on its own layer or a duplicated layer). Regarding the use of Bridge and ACR... In my opinion, if you tend to work on one or a few photos at a time, but are not working on batches of photos, Bridge and ACR can be a good alternative. I feel it's a bit faster because Bridge doesn't have to ingest photos into a catalog, so I can start browsing files right after I copy them, instead of waiting for LR to import them (which for some people, could take a while if they have a lot of large RAW files to import). I think batch editing and a bit more organization is where LR really has the upper hand over Bridge, but if you can live without things like Collection Sets, then Bridge can be a good interface to work with because it's not as resource-hungry as Lightroom is.

To prevent it being destructive from PS, make it a smart object first. If you open from Bridge it does this automatically.

If my image starts in Lightroom and the raw and tiff files are maintained and ordered in Lightroom I don’t find a great need to regularly use ACR.

I've not used it except rarely when compelled by opening a RAW file in Photoshop, so I don't know: 1. Are Adobe Camera RAW edits non-destructive as they are in Lightroom? 2. If I move a file in Windows Explorer, will Adobe Camera RAW hate me forever as Lightroom does when I do that?

1. Adobe Camera Raw edits do not affect the original raw file as the edits are stored in a XMP file which you can delete if you wish anytime you like. Haven't got a scooby about Lightroom as it is too confusing to use so I avoid it like the plague. 2. If you move a file in explorer all will be fine in Bridge as when you open it up the move will be recognised, nice and simple unlike the mind numbing Lightroom which gets baffled by such useful acts. I have tried and tried to work out Lightroom but I just can't get it and you never really know where your images are really stored. Dodgy stuff....

Unless you are bypassing LRc completely, I don't see a reason to use ACR. You can always jump into PS from LRc. I do like the new layout of ACR, in some ways more so than the similar LR layout, but my catalog is in LR so why confuse myself with two catalogs. BTW is there a way to go from ACR directly into LR?, tho I'm not sure why one would want to do it.

You don't have a catalogue with Bridge/ACR. You don't have to import anything either - just browse to it in Bridge and then open it in ACR. I gave up with LR years ago for those reasons.

I use Lightroom almost exclusively. Rarely need Photoshop. It's because of the cataloging, networking, collections, etc that I use Lightroom. If that went away I'd switch to Luminar or On1. I use Affinity Photo when I'm using the Affinity suite.

Thanks for another great tutorial Anthony. Could I please ask a question regarding Camera Raw? I use Lightroom to do my editing and then select "Edit in Photoshop" to pass over to Photoshop. Is there a way were I can bypass going through Camera Raw? Thanks Warren.

Hi, I always enjoy your videos but this one has made me rethink everything I'm doing. I'm pretty new to photography and even newer to Lightroom. I've just started shooting in RAW & assumed that when I import into Lightroom converting to DNG was normal. However this video makes me wonder if I've been doing this wrong and I should be doing something completely different. I know you cant reply to every comment but any guidance would be great. Cheers

Don’t convert to dng. It’s just an extra step that you don’t need.

Hi, thanks for this, So..... to use in Lightroom, doesn't it have to be converted, that's the process that always happened when importing RAW from my EOS R? I tried importing the RAW files from my EOS R5 that are RAW CR3 files but it says it Is corrupted. I think this may because Adobe haven't done a plugin for the R5 yet. I'm so confused and probably need to sit with someone to work through the basics again lol

Anonymous PDG Correct. There is no R5 support yet. Once there is, just use the copy function in the import tab. Btw, keep your libraries on a separate hard drive. 45mp raws will fill up disk space fast.

Yes, comparing Bridge with LR would be a great video. +/-'s . I know LR / Camera Raw processes RAW files, whereas PS psd/tiff, so most edits should be done in LR/CR.

Lightroom is a database system, to keep track of all of your images. However, I find myself wanting to create my own file structure and using Bridge to view the images. I have a problem finding my files often in Lightroom.

I use ACR directly from Bridge for years and find it much better then using LR. I think that the only feature ACR lacks compared to LR are those built-in effects of the Brush tool in LR (such as Burn, Dodge, Iris Enhance, etc.). But to me this is negligible. Also, LR is supposed to serve as a photo cataloging and managing tool but it's rather slow (at least on my PC which is quite powerful and new) and storage consuming. I find Capture One Pro much better doing so. Any way, I'm glad I could share my thoughts with you. Thank you, Anthony. I never stop learning from you.

I use PS as a very powerful LR plugin.

Recently I've considered trying Lightroom again. I've never liked it, especially the way it catalogs images. I was using Photoshop before Lightroom existed so perhaps I'm biased. Bridge, camera raw, and Photoshop are still all I need. I see photographers using Lightroom to edit and then take the image into Photoshop. Why? It seems redundant. Perhaps I'm missing something here but what's the point of Lightroom? It feels so good to get that off my chest. Thank you.

I much prefer camera raw over lightroom. Just open a RAW file in bridge and you are straight into camera raw. Thank you for your explanation.

Very interesting...as a relatively new Adobe subscriber I had opened bridge and camera raw...but thought it was just old legacy software and I have just gone down the whole lightroom organisational/editing route.I still find the whole catalogue/import export process a bit frustrating at times though. What format does Camera raw save files in and where? I for one would welcome you explaining this alternative to lightroom methodology a bit more...many thanks , stimulating stuff as always!

I did straight out of the camera for my first 5 years - no edits. I then learned how to edit.. 95% in Lightroom. Always wondered why ACR seemed so 'legacy'. Glad to see the changes

ACR doesnt use any file formart per se, you're dealing with the raw files from your camera

Jeff CliftonD Camera raw does not save your files in any format. You edit the raw file in Camera Raw and then open it into Photoshop. The adjusted raw file opens as whatever format you have set in the preferences in Camera Raw. When you have worked on your file that has opened in PS you can save it from PS in whatever format you choose. This is what makes Bridge, ACR and Photoshop so simple to understand - it is logical unlike Lightroom.

I always used camera raw, is illogical have 2 apps that make the same thing, I think adobe makes our lives more complicated, or they just want more of our money, lightroom is mainly intended for basic retouching photographs and organizing photos, adobe knows very well that the editors wants to have everything on same tool, for that reason they don't remove camera raw from photoshop, I hope they can improve their performance because each time they make the program very heavy, and affinity is already knocking on the door on the other side, thanks for your video

We cannot sycronice the photos settings which we want all the sliders adjustement we done in first photos to be copied and paste which in lightroom we can do... So lightroom if you have many photos and you want to apply similar settings then its best

If you want ultra fast...use Photo mechanic and ACR.

I think you should have made it clear how to use Bridge with Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop and that Bridge does NOT involve the Lightroom catalog; it is "outside" of Lightroom > Photoshop vs Bridge > Adobe Camera Raw > Photoshop. For those who use Lightroom using Bridge > Adobe Camera Raw > Photoshop would bypass the Lightroom catalog (which for some could pose a problem); if one count on the Lightroom catalog being up-to-date with their work, this could cause them strife. Anyway, just a suggestion ...

Im not a cc user. But I use photoshop and raw all the time. And I never liked Lightroom. I watched the whole video. They improved the curves and have access to the print module but other than those and the new look has there been a any other improvements that make the update worth looking into?

You forgot the split screen , that's very important.

I really like using ACR although I feel that Lightroom is a better choice if processing a fairly large batch of images.

Bridge and Camera Raw are all I use. Tried Lightroom and didn't like it at all.

Most folks who use ACR do so because they can't get on with Lightroom and prefer the logical layout of ACR. Sadly this has all now changed and we now have to hunt through this mess they have now created. Why couldn't they leave us alone with our established workflow instead of changing everything to the Lightroom learning curve for no benefit at all? We weren't expecting this from an update and didn't find out about it until it was glaring at us from our screens.....

I gave up on Lightroom and went over to ACR about 5 years ago. Nothing wrong with Lightroom, it was me who was the problem. I spent too much time obsessing over editing my images in Lightroom, due to all the options. In ACR, I spend 5 mins tops editing my images and another 5 mins in Photoshop. Oh, and I love Bridge.

I have dabbled in acr but after that and watching your video I still don't see a benefit for myself. Going between LR and PS is easy-peasy. A lot of duplication in the Adobe world. Unnecessary in my opinion.

I ditched Lightroom about a year ago and I've never been happier. Lightroom, to me, was like being in jail.

I've never understood why people use lightroom at all. Bridge and RAW work better for me, at least.

Those images are the most ugly and annoying I've ever seen.
