Can you day trade every day? Do day traders trade every day? What is day trading and should you do it? Should you be day trading every single day as a daytrader? Is day trading a good career? I used to be stuck to a screen years ago. But these days I prefer to be very aggressive only when the conditions are right. Sitting in-front of a screen is absolutely priceless in terms of gaining experience particularly if the markets are volatile. If you are a beginner trader then trading small every day is not such a bad thing. As a daytrader should i trade everyday? How many trades do day traders make per day? Is it okay to trade every day if you are a beginner? OK.

Some days especially Mondays are pretty slow so I expect less trades than usual. Sometimes I just skip it entirely. It is very important in trading to not force things that don't exist.

I am a day trader for 3 years now. I agree, not wasted time in front of screens. Have to learn to ride a bicycle, before doing it on your own. Get different inputs and opinions. KZread is your friend...Everybody trades differently. I trade Sp 500 futures. My list of things to know , understand to read candles, and the candles SIZES in a leg, resistance and support lines, trending lines, trending channels. I use ATR indicator with stochastic indicator. In a nutshell.

Another good video, interesting subject. I'm on my 3rd month. I trade everyday, almost all day. Like you I see it as experience. Sometimes I go light just just to test my strategies and other times when I feel that I see a pattern or trend that I like maybe up things a bit more. After 3 months I'm up a little bit, but my main objective is to discipline myself to trade without emotion and be surgical. A lot of off screen time too, researching and looking for ideas and opinions for other people in the trading too. I've tried different things, but the one I seem to understand, like and go back to is Oil. 😏

I’m on month 2, I trade generally from when I get up at 6:30am till close currently. Mainly to gain experience, however I only trade based on my strategy and therefore some days I don’t trade at all, or if I do it’ll be small. I utilise the 30 second charts to maximise on small movements and it seems to work for me, and generally I do assessments prior to the open and then before placing a position. I primarily focus on long positions with a stop loss to limit the loss. These videos have been great in terms of giving me the basic principles and highlighting the necessities, as have some of the book recommendations, such as Market wizards. If you have anymore that’d be great.

Trading for past few days As you said trading live or observing the live market is entirely different from analysis of past price action. Live market can give various new experience that books can't give and any best trading books that are written are based on a person's live trading and experience which I realise now.

I also had a “challenging time at the beginning” 😄. 3 years. Just became consistent mentally. Currently looking daily, reduced number of trades drastically and rely on orders a lot more recently. Starting to see a P\L uptrend. 😎 I’m seeing better results by following my plan, STRICTLY. The more I follow it, the less trades I get as a result. Ultimately my goal is that my edge is the single factor defining my trade volumes. That is what I am working towards. Thanks for all of your content, I have been taught many extremely valuable lessons by you. Peace.

i know this was 2 years ago but I needed to hear it today. i have been trading about 3 years and had fallen into the trap of having a daily goal. but some days there just isnt a good setup for my trading plan. now i am concentrating on a weekly goal because that opportunity that comes along once a week or so can make your montly goal. you have to have reserve cash to use for it.

I used to trade the globex 2-3 times a week as well but have backed off to just daytrade as I was getting burnt out. Like you I am starting to get traction and only taking the best setups. Still sit through Friday sessions but may eventually cut out fridays in order to get more life balance.

I am day trader for 2 years now. I am very positive about spending a lot of time in front of screen everyday. Because market has endless opportunities and we never know when we get an opportunity to grab. Sometimes, those trades are the best trades. On the other hand, planned trades are not always best. As explained in video, spending time in front of screen is very useful in terms of learning, however, one should have complete control over emotions to not to take a trade if proper set up and all the odds are not in our favour. On the other hand, if we aim to achieve the whole rally of the stock that day, I prefer to place the stop and close the screen. Market will give us what we deserve, of course MM and RR in place. Thanks

I would describe my trading as "on call". I set alarms on my indicators which notify me on my phone. If I get the "ping" I drop what I do and I'm on my "trading desk:, whether it be at home on my PC or outside on my laptop. And on my third losing trade of the week, I stop and vacay til next Monday.

All together 7 years trading investing... I agree with trading daily for experience... I myself no longer trade daily, I also don't swing trade as I trade on avg once a week, and that is simply driven by trading based solely on the opportunities that present themselves... I look for companies trading near or below the 52 week low and determine if the company is fundamentally sound yet experiencing temporary superficial challenges from bad press which only affects sentiment, but not the bottom line long-term. I call this "Swaytrading" as it is a hybrid of sorts between day-trading: trading 4 times per week, and swing-trading: trading once every 2 weeks...

Only really trade US stocks. Way more volume and more volatility, plus stamp duty on UK shares is a bit if a killer. Find a good site with low to zero currency conversion and US stocks are the way to go. Normally chill in the morning, bit of reading /news from 1.30-2.30. Trade the market until about 8.30 and then get out, so not to be trapped overnight.

6 weeks, since two weeks I've traded every day and, the first four weeks were minus, the last two has been 50%, think those who speaks a lot about risk reward are right, but not in the beginning. don't risk. make xp. see how the market reacts, and it's more fun with a bet even though it's small. But with a small bet as a beginner you still get fomo and that's something to work out.

I trade Option call swing trades From the uk but ttade new york stock exchange which is just perfect time zone for me Eg i can have the morning off and start work about 14.00pm and finish trading at 16.00-1630pm uk time Although i can short trade im not a fan of short trading stocks Usually if as soon as the market opens and it looks like its going to be a day of shorting stocks i usually dont trade that day but will nearly always have option call swing trades open in the market etc i just close them near the expiry date or when very profitable So i only trade for about 2 hours a day and thats just assessing my option swing trades are still ok and possibly change one or two trades if need be but i use to make lots of trades all the time but now although i almost always have trades open in the market i dont close many trades during a week as i now allow the market to make me money in my trades instead of me making the market money etc

For day trading I have entry and exit rules and I have a watchlist (around 150 stocks - all fno stocks). On an average I end up doing 20 to 25 trades per day (sometime end up 85 trades even). On an average I make 1% to 1.2% profit per day on capital deployed. Somedays I feel tiring but mostly am comfortable as my mind and body got used to that much of over trading. Wanted ur advise if this is ok or if I should reduce.

If you want to take trading seriously it has no sense to start with 100-200 or even 1000$ because you have basically no experience with volatility and conditions on markets. It's high chance that you only donate your money experienced traders and for you only left eyes for cry. Start with demo for long as you learn basics and than create microaccount and then start trade small amounts... Many people are jumping right into it for fast money earn and then find out it's not that easy as it looks. Me included. It hurted but I learn from that quickly...

Godwin Okoro Make sure you are comfortable with trading by trading a demo account with an amount you can afford. Trading a demo account with more money than you can afford might give you a wrong feel of what could happen if you go live. For instance, if you can afford to go live with US$200, trade a demo account with only US$200 balance to begin with. Blow it, create another one, blow it, create another one. Repeat the cycle until you are profitable starting off with that initial balance and then you can be confident to go live with that amount and implement the same strategy you developed to be profitable with the demo account. All experimenting must be done on demo accounts not on a live one. Your strategy is more important than how much money you begin with. How much you start with depends on how much you can afford to lose without wrecking your life.
