Should You STACK the GOLDBACK?

In this video I talk about Stacking Goldbacks and I answer the question "Should you stack the Goldback?". The Goldbacks currency is a hyperfractional gold bartering tool. Stacking the Goldback is something that all stackers should consider. Some stackers may want to stack more Goldbacks than others. If you are wondering Should I stack the Goldback then this is the video for you. The Goldback started with the Utah Goldback, but it is able to by spent anywhere in the world. The Goldbacks value is listed on the Goldback website. Spending Goldbacks can be done anywhere where the person accepting the Goldback currency is willing to take them for barter. Some Goldbacks are available for purchase at a higher price than others. The current states that have the Goldback are Utah, Nevada, and New Hampshire. If you live in one of the states that has the Goldbacks then stacking and using them is highly recommended. Below is the video talking about the cheapest way to buy Goldbacks:

Hey SD, Stormy did a three-part interview with the CEO of Goldbacks, let a look if you haven't already. I like the idea of them as a collectable, for stacking I'm not so sure. To have a few on-hand for bartering or paying for goods/services, they have merit for sure. Definitely a personal choice on these. Good post!

Again, not for everyone. I have a couple just to say I have a couple. But the 1/1000 ounce goldback is the 1 gram silver bar of the gold world. Love to see a video of a merchant agreeing to accept a goldback over spot price. A previous video showed farmer's market people agreeing to accept the goldback but the amount was curiously absent.

I like that they tick off some of the old timers on the net the most. I have each state's collection and a few piles of random ones. Figured they look good in the safe with the others. If gold were to stop being manipulated and rise in value, Id imagine it be these super small amounts would grow in demand for the regular person, hence the tech growing too.

It is no secret that I am a proponent of the Goldbacks. Once again Silver Dragons hits the nail on the head with his commentary Goldbacks. I think that Goldbacks are one of the few if not only inflation proof currency. Right now the USD has a 6.5% inflation rate. If inflation lasts long term like it did in the 70s a person would lose $65 for every $1000 they had saved in a year. Over a decade the purchasing power of whatever cash you had would be nearly zero. Because gold never goes to zero and one once of gold buys the same amount of goods now that it purchased 100 years ago, i.e., when ounce of gold was $20 a 100 years ago it could buy nearly the same amount of stuff that $1800 can buy now when adjusted for inflation. When the USD is no longer the world’s reserve currency (notice I wrote “when” not “if”), the Goldback will still be worth something because it’s pegged to a quantifiable and verifiable amount of gold. Having a little stacked can’t be a bad thing.

most of my friends know i have gold and silver, they're just not aware of the extent - that practice comes mainly from making it known that i'll cash buy any precious metals article they have if they ever need the money (i've acquired a lot of cheap junk silver in this manor, and a few gold wedding bands lol) - i used to give out silver coins/rounds as gifts during birthdays and the such and everyone seemed to love them (and a relatively inexpensive gift) - recently i purchased gb's as gift items and i get an even better response from the uniqueness of the items even though they're even less expensive (1's and 5's) - and i have a few (not many) put back

Glad you used my word "hyper- fractional" to describe them. I dislike the 50 and 25 denom gold backs because of weight, oversized, they bend on corners more and same price as a 1/20 ounce gold coin anyway. It is a 70% markup on this stuff. But with an account and willing to pay shipping or fees you can convert gold backs to cash, gold coins or split them up through UPMA. Spread the word, $4 gold "coin" at a time. Totally giftable. No way that they can make enough to replace fiat but every year maybe we can wean some people off of it. Oh, and by the way... A small stack of 1s is heavy!

We're converting what gold I've accumulated into Goldbacks. Just yesterday, as gold price was rising, I pulled the trigger when it seemed to stop, at 2,051/oz. We're in our 60's and if things don't go sideways, then we'll have them once we retire. Don't get me wrong, I'm still saving gold & silver bars/coins, for big time emergencies. But the long term savings, in Goldbacks, takes up even less space to store, than solid gold.

I live in NY. I just bought some goldbacks, waiting for the delivery. I see no actual use for them here in NY. Maybe the occasional tip to someone who would like to accept it. Id never force something like this one someone as an actual tip without them knowing why its a "tip" I started buying silver thinking Id use it to barter and trade, now Ive realized my bullets and fresh chicken eggs will be worth much more than my silver in a time of true "need". I simpy stack metals for the sake of wealth preservation at this point. As well as the visual enjoyment I get out of something here in front of me that I can hold and admire. I ordered goldbacks just to have some. I think Ive hit the point of metal stacking that having some gold bills sounds like a nice addition. Something to splurge on without any real practical use in the real word. I will say this: In a barter and trade situation, having fractional gold like this would be awesome. The only problem is the person would have to know what they are.

So my purpose of buying silver and gold it's to prepare for shtf. I know that the dollar is becoming devalued and I am anticipating an economic collapse. So you are saying then it is good to purchase goldbacks?

If that's your play, then totally. I'm only mildly interested in these, mainly as gifts for friends and coworkers. That said, were S to HTF and I was selling something you wanted to buy, I would totally accept these.

Well, they are certainly highly portable which is something to consider if you are a prepper. A stack of these will certainly be handy and are far more divisible than comparable gold coins and bars. Even if you're otherwise ready for a SHTF situation, do you want to find yourself overpaying for stuff you need/want? I seriously doubt the people you'd be trading with would be carrying spare change to ensure you only pay for the value of the things you want. They'd probably just accept the whole coin/bar without question and expect you to pay more the next time you pop in for a supply run. Also, Shadiversity did a video about what it would be like to run around with gold coins. I know that's more for Medieval roleplay/fantasy, but that would be something to consider if you're wondering about carrying money and equipment on your person.

Just an idea I just came across, they should make silverbacks in half dollars, quarters, dimes , nickel denomination. The problem is it would cost more to produce it that it really worth. Maybe they could find a way to make it cheaper. Just a thought.

What gets me is that the ratio of a 1 goldback and a 10 or higher goldback is the same. It only seems logical that a one goldback should sell for a higher percentage that a Ten goldback and what I see from dealers it that a $1 sells at the same price as a ten dollar per dollar which does not seem right. I have not checked out higher values. It only seems right that the higher the dollar value of the goldback the lower the cost per dollar of the goldback.

In it he discusses that the people couldn't fathom the concept that their marks were losing value because the prices and notes kept going up in value. Q: Are we experiencing the same thing. The dollar is going down which increases the value of our PMs. Not the opposite as we've all said.

one goldback = 1/1,000th of an oz, so you'd need 1,000 goldbacks to equal an ounce of raw gold. but, it's worth more than one ounce of gold because of it's form. it's super fractional and able to be used as money! I've got some information in my channel description if you're interested as well as contact information if you have any questions.
