like with maleknights.................. i have to take who i can get! jiyan got my attention over a year ago so nothing is going to convince me not to pull for him anyways. it is good for people who care or are curious to see what options they have, especially if people aren't aware of how creep of early game characters work.

⚠️ Do NOT skip characters. ⚠️ EVERY character will powercreep the next. That's the default standard in gacha games. It's to incentivize you to pull. This isn't a PvP so powercreep isn't something you have to take personally when it happens. The only way powercreep will bother you is if you let random people dictate to you who you should and shouldn't pull for. Every character is capable of clearing all content. You should build your account based on what characters you genuinely like and want to have fun playing with. There is no must-pull. There never will be a must-pull. You're free to ignore this advice. But don't ever say you weren't warned -- especially since this is a skill-based action game like Street Fighter or Dark Souls. 🤷‍♂️

This is the worse advice u can give to F2P. if you are free to play you need to skip some characters. Gache resources for f2p are limites. Add in that u might be a below average gamer in terms of skill to clear content which would result in less currency...yeah deff skip characters that dont fit what u need and save up.

"There is no must pull" you say that but eventually there will be a character in the future that can one shot every boss, it always happen in gacha games no matter if they're souls like or skill based. For example, even a strategy game like Arknights suffer from the same fate, why bother making a strategy, using each stages gimmick or trying different team comp when Surtr, Mlynar, Texalter, and in the future W alter can just destroy all of them

All you need is a Denjin and skill.

Technically the 1.0 character banner is the character you SHOULD pull for to carry you to characters worth pulling, why? Because if you waste enough time rerolling you'll get him in 10 or 20 rolls which is a great deal that would make a easy transition to Camellya. Only thing I hate about banner skipping is missing out on the target farming of the 4stars.

I'm pulling Jiyan the same way I pull any limited character. I like, I pull. Keep it simple.

You need three teams of 2-3 characters. That means 3 DPS and 3-6 Supports. I think the smart thing to do would be pick whatever 3 DPS you like best, and pull the supports for them that will progress with the meta. With time, if you want to add another DPS you really like, pull for that unit.

(if it were PvE & every character had a fair chance at winning). This is Dark Souls where every class can beat the game so it doesn't matter if mage is easier than the others. Unless you really don’t know how to play video games, are unwilling to learn, or are lazy and don't want an actual game to play, you should NOT be thinking of meta-chasing in this game. Other games, it makes sense to meta-chase. Wuthering Waves is NOT one of them. CCs need content, so they're gonna make the tier lists and do whatever (just like they do with every game), but you have to THINK. 🧠 1) This is a solo game. You're not competing with anyone. 2) It's a skill-based game like Street Fighter and Dark Souls - you have to actually learn the moveset of your characters and study the bosses' patterns. 3) Every single character is capable of clearing every content in the game. That is the situation. Because that is the situation, *chasing meta becomes redundant.* Each time you pull and you can't afford the next banner or 2, then, oh well, you've been powercrept. So what exactly was the point in pulling for characters you didn't even like? Now the character is weaker than the next batch of characters they release. You know how things work already & this game discourages meta-chasing, but you're still gonna let random people dictate who to pull for and who to skip? Meanwhile if you just pulled the characters you actually liked, learned their moveset, got good, and invested in them, then powercreep wouldn't matter. You'd be a master at playing your favorite character. And that's the point of WuWa. Collect your favorite characters and get good at using them -- that's how Wuthering Waves is intended to be played. Unless you're really THAT bad at action games, don't skip characters you like. And don't chase meta.

​@@milmil5350 I get your point and I do agree with them but even in games like figthing games/platform fighting games like ssb, tekken, sf, bh there are still characters that are statistically better compared to others. For souls like games there are certain builds that are easier to play with and sometimes even allow you to cheese content. a lot of people would be playing this simply for the gacha aspect and for those people and people with relatively low skill level pulling for statistically stronger characters with higher damage floors or even ceilings will be of benefit to them.

I'll probably pull him. The dragon attack is cool and pulling banner characters should give an early account boost. Also I imagine gacha weapons will also be better than anything you get early on if you happen to get some from the character banner. With genshin I tended to pull more early on to unlock stuff and then save more later on for what it more meta, so I'll probably repeat here.

It's actually better to pull for the weapon of you aren't going to pull for the character, as the weapons will bring more value to you're account if you're skipping a character. And use that weapon to the character you want, if it compliments them well. I'm not saying this should be done on a whim. But it is a viable option.

When will Changli and Jinhsi drop?

I am planning to get Jinhsi and came to WuWa for her. Jiyan can get a rerun I want to save for Jinhsi now and do 1 ten pull early to have more resources early on aside from 5 stars

I got Jiyan in 5 silly single pulls I did so there's nothing for me to regret there even if he gets power creeped. And Jiyan is so much fun in overworld especially since there are plenty of enemies that needs grouping, in domains too. And with Danjin, Havoc MC, Calculus...my dps needs are all met for now. I'll be saving up until they release a limited support that can replace Verina (she's being overworked in all my teams)

Considering you'll need 3 teams for ToA I really don't see the point on sitting on wishes. Especially considering how much of the early game experience is shaped by how much you like the character you're playing.

Im not pulling for jiyan cos im afraid i wont be able to hit pity for yinlin if i use all my pulls on him.

Im gonna reroll and either build around what i get or save a couple months if/when a robot/waifu comes along to get high constellation and a weapon. Too many games i just get 1 copy of a bunch of different archtype units vs just having 1 gigchad/chan unit to brute force everything

The banner systeme is not like in PGR where you are a unique banner at first release (100% rate up) that will never comeback even on the futur rerun banner (70% rate up). Its like Genshin, a skip is not so dramatic because the rerun banner is exactly the same, so at worst if the character is meta or so cool but you havent pull just pull on rerun later. Meta are setup in 6 months average in gacha game so don't pressurise you to mush and this same meta will be powercrept around 1 year at max.

Jianxi, yanyang and jiyan has crowd control! they are littery the only character we have currently u want to have this character to clear tower adversity fast.. well technically any characters can beat the tower but having these characters just great for the tower.

short answer: no. pull whoever the hell you want, this is a skill based game, if you cant play using 'non-meta' characters, you still won't be good using the 'meta' ones.

I'll probably spare a few pulls for yilin but I am not pulling for jiyan. She seems like she will age much better, and she looks great. I'll probably focus on subdps and supports and wait on main dps for a little while.

I'll use sanhua for now and keep my pulls for op characters with signature weapons

Support can be remplaced but i think yinlin is worth it because can buff and do big damage

Nahh just pull any DPS and pull broken supports. With great value supports, you can make your DPS no matter how powercrept they are into a good DPS so pull for at least 3 DPS u like and then save for supports that will carry u throughout the game. If u get Verina in standard and then get Jiyan who is a dps in limited banner, u don’t need to worry about powercreep because Verina will be there to help your DPS. Also even if we decide to pull for DPS later, they will still also be subjected to future powercreep so that will be pointless.

i would say klee and seela is a bad comparison klees numbers are fine the issue is shes clunky and very unfun to play for most her dps is still quite good with the right teams especially with furina and Seela have fallen off but shes still very viable and mono quantum is not a weak team it can still comfortablely clear a lot of MOC effortlessly jingyuan would be a better exsample since he fell off instantly and to make him clear u really gotta mid max and in honkai star rail 1.1 luocha is kinda useless these days and silver wolf fell massively off and is worse then pela in most senarios besides specefic teams and boss killing senarios which is just like seela she works great in 1 team and if the situation favors her shes really good

Great video! Was definitely feeling the pressure to do initial pulls, but youre absolutely right. Kind of regret pulling jing yuan, tho hes been carrying me through current content. Ill prob save to pull multiple copies of something spicy that i can just brute force everything, then havemore variation for the other side of the end game content

I'm a PGR player too and what matters most is investing deep into a character. The more dupes, pets, weapons you can get, the farther your account will go. Investing into a character and learning their playstyle outclasses owning a single copy of every character (no weapon, no pet).

Wait for 1.6 or 2.1 characters. In those patches , Hoyo releases meta characters. Kuro might follow that pattern.
