@@grammysworld5449 the base driving is great. The effects are kinda cool but I think you can turn them off. There is a single player mode which is pretty fun. I think its worth it if you have a couple of friends to race with.

This update is honestly a step forward for the game's longevity but the only thing holding me back from playing the game again is matchmaking in multiplayer because it's hard to grind in the game when most of the lobby is not interested in racing. Although yes the payouts for the races have been increased, there's still a chance that not a lot of people will be interested racing or are busy with doing other stuff. It would be nice if they add a feature where you can race by yourself with AIs if no one accepted your playlist or have AIs fill the rest of the grid. Other than that, the update brings a lot of promises for the future of this game and for the next Need For Speed games!

This update is unheard of these days with modern triple A releases, especially EA. I'm very grateful they addressed so many issues that could have been easily ignored for more content. It's a great thing to see. Great video too!

@@kingpinchess I definitely understand. But what I think makes this different is the fact that most of the modern games that fall into this cycle are very lucrative and successful already, this game doesn't have a huge player base, so they could have easily just abandoned it altogether.

Need for speed at least for me has become that title that when I am bored of my main games sometimes i just turn on for 20-30 minutes for some silly fun but it has no retention for me anymore... circumstances change and I think it's the nostalgia that keeps me coming back for more but when i realise it's no longer what I remember it to be i get bored of it quick. I guess I am no target audience anymore. I am still grateful for the most wanted 2005 that one of the best games ever for me not just ''for a need for speed game'' I hope the younger generations get to feel in this game what felt when playing the most wanted back then! JOY!

Isnt it multiplayer player only update? Some of us dont care at all at for multiplayer so its a nothing update because that MB is really nothing to get excited about. So what do us single player gamers have to get excited about?

Unfortunately no the update isnt going to change the reception, because it doesn't change anything drastic about the game. look at steam the review score has kept going down since this last sale started. Even at $35 the game isn't really selling. The damage has been done, i can make a giant ass list of what it needs to be to make it a great game because the base is there, and the racing itself is actually fun. Im making a mod to fix its horrible game progression. Im basically trying to make it open GT4 style, currently cant add races or locations though I can only replace races because adding races crashes the game :/.

Still holding out for some single player content. Never been a fan of a whole, separate, multiplayer - where Heat had its Multiplayer and Single Player combined into one lobby. I much prefer that system found all the way back in NFS 2015 to what we have in Unbound…

Gotta say I love this video format

Fair play on all the fixes! Im looking forward to more volumes coming soon! I think Criterion will make this game amazing. I do miss the way single player was online as well though like Heat. It was good to decide if I should do a campaign mission, race or to just cruise with people online. Frankly I dont have that feeling on this game.

Didn't leave a comment here originally but hopefully this is a sign of things to come. It's definitely a good improvement for the game and should bring some more life into the game for the time being. Especially having Cops in MP it should be fun to just get a group together and cause some trouble and having it generate some cash is a cool bonus. I definitely don't approve much of the 240Z's implementation especially since it's such a unique customization option and stands out as GTA:Online is the only other recent game I've seen to feature the Bozo style on some cars. It's not my style particularly but I'd 100% use it given how stylistic it is compared to the generic customization but no way in hell am I subbing to EAPlay for it. I just hope this isn't a one-off and we see more similar updates with substantial refreshes for the base systems alongside new content for a long time to come. Would be nice to see future updates happen more often though as the gap from launch to this is pretty damn long but if it comes with as many bug fixes and stuff as this one then I'm not that concerned considering the situation of other titles.

I have already been enjoying the game quite a bit, so I'm really excited to see it get even better. Granted, it had its major share of issues, initially I was on the fence about it. So many people claimed it's so much better than Heat, I just couldn't see it. There were some improvements over Heat but also some things that Heat handled way better - payouts and cops in multi, race variety, SONG SKIP BUTTON, etc. It's great to see that they fixed basically all of those issues. In terms of matchmaking, I agree it could be much better, but for me it's not so big of a deal because I play multilayer pretty much exclusively with friends, usually party only to avoid broken vehicles.

NFS 4 and 5 soundtrack hits hard

Gotta appreciate that NFS porsche soundtrack tho I personally enjoyed my time with the single player, but the repetitiveness and lack of event veriety wore me out quite alot, to where I noped right out of thegame after just a handfull of multiplayer playlists. All these changes are wellcome to be sure, but in my case (keeping in mind that I`m not much of a multiplayer person, beyond playing with friends), these changes aren`t enough to entice me to come back. I think that beyond the lack of cops and poor payouts, the multiplayer has a more fundamental issue of lack of track veriety, not to mention the issues of lobby and group size I, for one, probably won`t even consider going back to the game untill the game gets a massive overhaul, and they do more to make thw multiplayer more fun and varied

I personally enjoyed the game at first, but the moment I was able to buy the Regera in online mode, my interest in the game just died immediately. Yeah it sucks the game wasn’t fully finished at launch, but honestly, if the game continues to get support and update similar to what happened to COD WWII, I’ll be happy. I’m curious what the game outlook would be like if there’s mod support. Would be cool to add custom game modes.

There’s been a few time where I’m drafting behind a car and they lag. I would bump into their car and slow down to 60mph without crashing. This will kill all your momentum and lose you multiple places. And it never happened in the last update.

To be honest what kills the game for me is the KZread build’s people do or that fact that you’re allowed to downgrade cars to lower tiers. That alone makes the race’s boring and stale because nobody knows how to make “their own car”

Regarding the 'one class below lock' , it actually does push more builds with shitty car with huge horsepower but no steering which makes it much more interesting Edit: the cops are laughable, i literally had like 20 on me with my friend and we just DESTROYED them, also the payouts for cops are too low imo compared to races

Too little too late. I really enjoyed the game, for a while, but it turned out to be a chore. This is not enough to make me jump back online.

Yall may be easily impressed....im not, this game lost me after about 5 hrs in and I realized 75% of my actual play time was spent running from police and not doing races....its a police escape simulator not a street racing game they would have a much better racing game if their focus was on racing

I beat the entire 1st week and half of the 2nd and you spend more time in heat 5 going from race to race getting in and out of chases more than you actually race...never said I have a hard time I've never even been busted the game forces you inti chases via unmarked cars all the time and deliberately giving police a catchup spawn when you finish races even though you're way ahead of the pursuit all just so I have to re escape the police again...so get better at what? Maybe I'm just better than you and I'm doing too much? I don't finish a day until I've completed all races, excuse me for thinking 2 to 3 escapes between each race is too much in a day when I'm doing roughly 8 races or more in a day and that averages to 24 police chase and escapes vs 8 races

Dude skipping tracks is such a huge thing, I literally stopped playing because some of the songs (especially the Ukrainian ones) are so bad and kept appearing it ruined the experience, so that alone makes me wanna play the game again.

I just want NFS games to go back to the old handling system man. Nfs underground-carbon and pro street are the pinnacle of nfs handling physics, and those are all over a decade old.😮‍💨

One of the things that turned me off from this game’s multiplayer immediately was the fact that cars you’ve built in singleplayer don’t carry over. FYI, not talking about the cars you win in the night races in singleplayer, I’m talking about the ones you buy and build from stock. I don’t see a downside to people grinding singleplayer’s endgame and building beasts to take into multiplayer. It’s more motivation to play the game. I think at the very least, if we buy a car in singleplayer, the stock car should be available in our multiplayer garage.

Honestly i been having fun with the game. I can actually build cars and experiment so. It kinda is up to you if you want to come back, but i would recommend it

I'm the 500th like and i don't have Unbound

First of all, what EA could finally sort out would be licences with Toyota... they lost it in the past and I do miss an AE86, MR2, Supra and many others that were in game, especially now when we have GR86 and GR Yaris which are super cool sport cars and in last few NFS games they were not featured cuz EA did not sort out licences with Toyota... Microsoft did sort everything out and they added them cars into FH4 and then carried on to FH5... I dont play racing games to drive all them supercars or hypercars, they are trash... Also what EA could finally do would be a brand new anticheat... Cuz MP is unplayable because of them cheaters... if FH4 and FH5 the MP is unplayable cuz meta cars and AWD meta builds, so anything realistic is out of the window and EA has in last decade a huge problem with cheaters in their games since they are running like 15 years old anticheat with "updated" database that is also like 5 years old and all them 12 year olds just get a speed hack and unlimited grip cheat and money cheat free of charge online cuz its so easy to make them cheats that they can put them online for free... Also I dont understand why the update is for online mode... I spent 45 hours in SP and 6 hours in MP to find out that even when I get the car I want, nobody plays the game... 12 players in one session, most of them afking in garage and the rest was either testing around their cars or wanted to do the highest class races... Its stupid... and on top of that, making a big map but putting only few races and the most interesting race track class which is sprint, is just not there... and the few that there are, well they are crap... I preordered and I received what I paid for in SP... MP experience is not worth reinstalling the game and making it take up space on my PC...

If they delayed the game, and released it with all the stuff in this major update then I think the game would have been received a lot better. That and the music selection in Unbound is hot garbage. I'd really rather listen to Taylor Swift on repeat and that says a lot about how bad the soundtrack is....

The game is simply not good the physics are 20 steps back from the OG titles and let's be honest that is the most important aspect in racing games.

Bro payouts is still not enough the game is just as bad as with launch, few things changed but i play even less now, there are even more broken cars that just goes to a lower class and dominates you every time. Really not getting much enjoyment out of the game anymore

NFS Unbound is terrible let's be honest, drift mechanics suck and the grip mechanics suck because the game still wants to drift. I shouldn't have to get used to garbage physics, the physics need a rework, first step is fully eliminating brake to drift. Brake to drift must go in order to fix the physics. Theres no content to keep us playing the game, it's a ghost town trying to get people to race, 4 out of 14 people race in lobbies rest are doing nothing
