This is a great video, thank you for your tips from years of experience! I just opened a vintage shop, and I originally only posted 12 items. I received 2 sales in the past week, so I was ecstatic to say the least. I definitely am going to start posting at least one item per day going forward, but just know it is possible to start with 10+ items! It definitely helps that I have been researching and shopping vintage for years now, but anything is possible. :) Just wanted to encourage anyone thinking about opening a shop. Again, this is such a great video!

What a fantastic video. I would love a consult...with your experience I think it's a great idea.

I have been a vintage seller on eBay for 20 years. Etsy for prboblaly 10. Etsy is a ridiculously difficult platform to sell vintage items on. I love etsy but the reality is that you get a broader market on eBay. And while still list on Esty. The expectation is that you are on social media which I am not at 56 years old. There is not that same expectation on eBay. Across of the platforms you have to list consistently not daily😊

Such a helpful video! I was thinking about Etsy because I love selling vintage, but I definitely don't know enough to be confident in my dating or accurately describing the items to sell on there.

You'll learn eventually as long as you keep selling vintage and trying to date the pieces! But I'd say probably Poshmark is the best outlet for a "gentle vintage" experience lol

Definitely interested in a consultation. I have an Etsy shop, but have not grown it. I have at least 75 vintage items that I could cross post (easily with List Perfectly yay) so I need to start working on that. I still have a money pile that I need to work on listing too, so that would be helpful. 😊💕

Great video. My goal is to have an Etsy shop filled with vintage goodness. Everything you pointed out is why I have not opened one. I would definitely be interested in a shop consultation in the future. I would also be interested in paying for vintage identification it would be so helpful. You have great knowledge and it could be another stream of income. I have used a service for Lululemon items and the cost is based on how much information you want etc. Yes, I could google away but I love supporting other small businesses.

That's an interesting thought! I know Breezy von Breezy on insta offers a vintage ID service as well. I will think on that as I move forward in the year - the research is sometimes my favorite part.

Excellent video. I sell more vintage on ebay (since 1999) and just never tried Etsy (although I have an account and a store that never opened) but it sounds like as much work as Poshmark, just different. I have an actual other job, so you gave me a lot to think about!

It's definitely a lot of work! If you take out the sharing element of Poshmark, I'd say it's even more work up front. But once you get into a rhythm it's not so bad!

Once I start making my upcycled jean skirts and and upcycled jeans into other projects I will probably post them to Etsy store that is probably a few months away for me but It is something I have been thinking about a lot lately :) great video ... I am quite sure there is a market for Etsy store consultations. :)

Thanks for the video. I am torn between trying selling on Etsy or E-bay. Which to choose? I now have about 300 vintage items of roughly similar category and I was worried that I had too little! I am buying twice a week. Once I choose a site, I want to list 3-5 a day to help with algorithm. I am wondering if the sheer size of e-bay and the amount of traffic will make it the better choice?
