I’ve finally made and uploaded the kits! (Only a year late) Here’s the link madebytaylahrose.com/products/deluxe-diy-scrunchie-kits-makes-3-sewing-machine-edition?_pos=2&_sid=59929d5bc&_ss=r
Such a great tutorial, thank you for sharing. I started making scrunchies a few months ago and love it. One really handy tip I found was to thread the elastic through the fabric tube BEFORE you pull it all through using your bodkin. It makes the whole process so much quicker. xx
WOW !!! Such a detailed and very informative video of the burrito method to make scrunchies. I never thought of the part where you stuff the remainder inside the end of the scrunchie when you're sewing the length of it. TYSM for sharing this video with us. Sooo helpful !!! 😍❣️😻
Thank you for posting this has been definitely the best tute I’ve seen for this method. So so so helpful xx
If anyone hasn’t seen taylah make them, please subscribe and start from the beginning when taylah started, then you can see how much she’s grown in business, and changes she has made. Thanks for posting taylah! Nice to see you. You really are adorable !
Thank you for this video! I've seen many use the "burrito method" but I've never seen it as well explained as this

Thank you so much for this video!!! Can't wait to try making my own xl scrunchie! 😊
Thank you so much. I have been looking everywhere…. and i mean everywhere for years for information like this. i’ve been making scrunchies since 2019 and have always had questions. thank you
I always have so much troubles to find scrunchies that I actually like and can hold all of my hair, as I have a lot of hair which are think and very curly...so I need big ones! I started making my own and your tutorial really helped me make them better, faster and sturdier. Thank you for sharing!
Always feel so inspired after watching your videos 🥰
you have made my scrunchies top notch!!! thank you xx
Thank You for taking the time to show us the detailed step by step! You are the best!!
This is the first tutorial that’s made any sense to me thank you 🥰

☀️Taylah tutorial and my morning coffee ☕️ thanks so much for sharing 😘🇨🇦
Great job on this tutorial video. Your instructions are clear and concise. I also think it is a great idea to sell packs/kits of your scrunchies but maybe you want to sell them with different fabrics than the ones you sell so each brand line is unique..
Loved your tutorial. I never had a bodkin and only a teeny weeny safety pin which kept coming undone and pricking me😄 so I just improvised and used a craft popsicle stick, cut a slit in one end and slipped the elastic into that and it stayed in place really well when pushing through the fabric. Also I find in the upholstery fabric section at Spotlight they have a lot of really heavily reduced bolts of fabric which are really good value and they are also generally wider as well.
Thank you. I was looking for something to make to sell, at our local summer market, and I think I just found it.
She is so aesthetic. I could see her for hours and never tried 🎀
Thank You!!! so inspiring so happy, just love your tutorials
Thank you so much for sharing!! I love your channel and wish you continued success!!😄💪👍
I was already using the same XL scrunchie measurements for mine but I make my regular scrunchies at 5inches by 30inches. I also use the burrito method for all my scrunchies. :) Love your content, Thank you!

Thanks for sharing. I do like them both.
I didnt know if Scrunchies were still popular...I see them less here in UK. I have tried chiffon but hated working with it as its slippy. Mainly I like cotton. I like your scrunchies...very voluminous
Great Tutorial!

Thankyou so much ma'am. very helpfull my channel scrunchies ❤❤❤
Super useful video❤❤❤
Hi Taylah...I was wondering if you could show how you fold your fabrics and cut them? I love how they look so neat. I have a tall metal rack I keep my fabrics on, and it really needs a makeover, and to be folded better so I can see what I have... So anyways ya If you could show how you do this that would be awesome! I'm from the United States, and not famiiar with centermeters, so if you could say the width of your elastics in inches that would be awesome...I know there are so many out there, and I have no clue what size to get and buy...Thank you so much for your talent, and videos...
Thank Taylah Rose,,good job.🙋♀️👍👏👏❤👈
oh thank you so much , i try to make it
Great tutorial! Do you use silk for scrunchies? If not, why? Thanks much!
I used Rayon from Spotlight for XL. So far it's ok but they do crease A LOT. I have tried using a pretty stretchable velvet also from spotlight but it was terrible.. Used the same WOF as my other XL and whenever I try to sew it, it would curls up. The overall look was terrible too. I like the double cotton ones but not a fan of a few polycottons. They make the scrunchies look flat and somehow made the patterns dull. Duckbill fabric is great for bows and headbands. Btw this is just my personal opinions. The rayons sell really well though for me.
Halo ,you are amazing 👏 ❤ I love to watch your videos 🤗🤗🤗one question please, what glue are you using?
Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!!!!!! There BEAUTIFUL. What is the length of the fabric?
Thanks My granddaughters want me to make them some for Christmas. I am curious how or where do you position your camera. (I made dolls and when I do WIP reels for IG the camera gets bumped so much as it’s in my way. Yours seem to be perfectly placed for demos.
2000th like :)))) I’m a beginner and don’t really understand but when I do I will come back ❤️
Hi there! I‘m just curious if I understood you correctly (English is not my first language):a thinner Elastic makes for a more plush scrunchy? I would have guessed it’s the other way around as a wider elastic holds the fabric up more? Sorry of it’s a stupid question but thank you for the amazing tutorial, you make the burrito method so easy to understand! 🥲✨
Congratulations for the beautiful work, I love your videos. I would like to know the measurements you make in two sizes which would be the tam? I'd like to do. I'm Brazilian and I follow your videos.
Fab tutorial lovely girl. X
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo ! Ça m'a permis de découvrir l'existence des Bodkin je vais regarder ça 😍 un peu difficile à comprendre pour les français surtout les tissus recommandés, mais au top ! 🤗
Thanks for the video. What length elastic for the regular scrunchie ? Thx
Good job 👌👌👌👌👍👌
Parabéns pelo trabalho. Kiki😍
It's soo beautiful! I could not have my own business I'd be far too stressed and overwhelmed! Hats off to you!! However... I have a 3 year old daughter and spend ALL my money on bows and scrunchies and clips.. So making my own would be soo much cheaper! Just a quick question, not that it matters but I'm 34 and have NEVER used a sewing machine in my Life! It looks hard and scary.. Could you please do a tutorial for ULTRA beginners on how to set it up and sew? I reckon you would get plenty of views and people would watch it multiple times to get the hang of it!
This is a great tutorial. Thank you! What elastic do you use, where do you get it? I can’t seem to find a good stretchy one for my thick hair. 🙃

Hi Taylah, what width of fabric do you use for xl in Galena fabric?, Thx
Do you no longer do long tubes for bulk making anymore? Or are you just using burrito method now?
What would be the length of fabric and elastic? If you don’t mind me asking I want to try making XL scrunchies and I’m a little confused.
What type of satin fabric do you use? I bought some inexpensive satin to just practice on but it slips and slides and the shape does not hold so sewing and even cutting is a bit difficult. I’m hoping better quality fabric will solve that issue but I’m afraid to cut into my more expensive fabric until I have the dimensions I want.
Thanks
I do my scrunchies that way very easy

Hi Taylah, is quilters cotton goof for making scrunchies? I have a ton of it so would be great to use it up, but was wondering if it’s what you use? Thanks

I like using it! I find it holds up nicely 💞
I’m thinking about using some tulle somehow in my Scrunchies. I still have a lot left from my wedding 5 years ago. 😂😂
Hi, could I ask what thread you use? Also how do you get your industrial to sew thin fabrics?? Mine would just chew up satin, I can only sew cotton if its interfaced.
What was the width of fabric you use 45”? Thank you.great tutorial you cover every eventuality. 👌Thankyou.😊
Thank you so much this was very helpful💕😊 I have opened my Etsy shop and have just sold my first item to Canada yesterday, I have dispatched it from post office Australia it took me $21, I have sold the item on Etsy for $22 and paid $21 for the shipping lol🥲 the item that I shipped was just a ring it’s not heavy at all. Just wondering if this approx. how much you pay for international orders?
@TaylahRose
2 жыл бұрын
Congrats! That sounds correct for tracked postage! Get an auspost business account you can get discounts on international and domestic postage through there. Mines 20/30% off now. You used to be able to ship untracked in an envelope for only a few dollars but that’s no longer the case. I do believe there is an untracked parcel option for cheaper but I don’t trust untracked overseas since covid, the delays to parcels are still quite extreme in some cases so it’s good to see where they are 💞
