It’s pretty toxic if you let a bunch of new player doing all of the work. Happen to me once there was 11 player high level afk I was the only one who doing all of the work I should have server hop but was hopping that the Afker or other people will join but they never did fail the event lost 5 robot.

The way I see it is I work 5, 12 hour shifts a week with 3 days off to play, Bethesda has set an impossible glowing mask rate, i paid for the game and my electricity so I dont care what anyone thinks about being afk unless they wanna give me a glowing mask or pay my electricity then they can have an opinion, on another note if it makes the anti afk feel better ive done near every event some active a lot afk and ive not got 1 glowing mask

Just let people do what they want, play the event, and have fun. That’s all there is to it. Gotta have an incredibly toxic and petty personality to nuke the event if you’re mad at AFKers.

Isn't it more toxic to sit afk all day and night straining the server load just so you can get masks you didn't earn? It's what they get for going afk in an online game anyway.

Nuking it is literally wasting your time unless you enjoy hurting new players. Experienced ones know how to deal with it and afk people still get rewards. And seeing the drop chances and that you theoretically need to participate in more events that happen during those 2 weeks, it´s understandable that people afk. Blame Bethseda, not the afk players. For all the stuff you can get from nuke zones, i don´t need it. I need a few cobalt flux for jetpacks. That´s it. Ammo? Nope you don´t need to craft ammo anymore, if you do, you are doing something wrong. And if you still want to make fluxes, there is better places for it.

Uuuhhhh nuking isn’t even bad tbh, people can play how they want, I craft ammo cuz I run commando and I’m only level 57 so I’m working my way up to max out my ammo crafting, I have thousands of resources so it doesn’t really bother me, it’s also not afk-ing if your character is moving and collecting flux cuz everyone needs let’s be real, and also u can get more legendary enemies to spawn, there’s also tons of places for new players to get rad suits and if they don’t know where then it’s up to them to research that or they can server hop, so what’s a REAL reason why it’s bad??? 😂

@@domevans2725 Do expiditions. You get more ammo back than you use and you get 6 legendaries every run. Nuking the event is literally just hurting new players that might not even know how to deal with radiation yet. There is no excuse to nuke the event other than trying to troll people. There is way better places to nuke for materials also.

Another thing that's stupid is standing in front of the gift box and stealing everything other players puts inside. I have been gifting duplicates of masks I already own and as soon as I place one single item (heck I even deposited a useless consumable like Spoiled Brahmin Milk) some player just spam the action button and loot everything that's just been put in the box. Like seriously?

I think events should have a point system like the nukacade where tasks earn you more points than simply completing the event. This takes a lot of rng out of it, reduces the amount of afking and prevents people getting dups they won't donate because some people keep taking everything.

It's such a waste of a nuke. Why not use it for SBQ or NW? It's so dumb lol

Well someone had to test it. I was with a group and we nuked the event area before the event and nuked it once the event started. The fact there was no secret boss or it didnt boost the event in anyway made it so I will never do it again.

AFKing hurts more then just new players. AFK players sometimes makes it impossible for 5/5 bots to live so you can get best rewards. My gf is brand new, and keeps getting the same mask. Was disheartened to see an AFK player get a glowing mask when she's trying. Thats toxic as hell... not in the spirit of the event.

@@Iris_UwU_ it has proven more than once that your chances at a rare mask resets everytime you do the event. AFKers do not influence your chances at all. Do I afk? No. I’m the player running around healing the bots and killing the enemies with his holy flame.

@@shawnadams1965 the spawns on mobs change. The more players the more mobs. If half the players are afk that is artificially inflated to be harder for you. They are also farming thousands of free GB and masks. Yes it resets, but that doesn't matter when you could get 24 masks in a day compared to someone working for theirs and getting like 10 if you're lucky. They are hurting the market, new players, the event, and the people participating in it. My gf is a brand new player, and has been doing them nearly by herself, and getting the same mask over and over... While a level 1278 dude has a rubber band on his controller and a clear glowing mask. It's a bit disheartening. They should have never added glowing masks... But that's a whole thing.

I don’t mind carrying 5-10 people who don’t have time in their day but when it’s 90% of the lobby and only 2-3 people are doing the event it tends to get annoying. My only real qualm with all the Afking is that it leads to dead servers pretty quickly. I may want some of the plans and masks myself, but it's not the only event. While I don't fault people for wanting to afk them, it quickly leads up to there being 8-14 people Afking the event and then the rest are actually there trying to do more events than just that one, and they can't get them done or are largely less efficient than they'd usually be because you're soloing the event. If there was a way to limit the number of Afking players to a server it could potentially solve the issue, but I don't really see that being a fair alternative. At one point last night, it was just me and one other guy doing the event and in our own party were a couple of people who were half afking the event and half there. But I kind of can't imagine that after me and that guy left that anyone else was doing them.. just a server of nothing but people afking the event with no one to do the event..

So some nuke the event because they dont like others afk'ing the event. Here is way some afk it. The crazy lag freeze crashing and the 10 mins trying to load back. So you launch a nuke on it, causing even more lag for others. Then we have the entitled selfish high levels that think they are the only ones in the event as they kill everything in sight. And then we have the grenade spammers that also cause unnecessary lag.

I go AFK because i dont have time to sit and wait every hour, if i did fasnacht only when i was actually able to play id do it maybe twice a day and were not getting any glowing mask that way, so i have to AFK it while im busy, only thing Nuking hurts is the new Players

I would love it if the fascnacht area is nuked, not because of AFKers, but so that I can farm for radiation fluids, hardened mass, etc.

This was started when people (jerks) said you get glowing masks from nuking it, this is Not true, and now You can NO longer Nuke Fasnacht, they added a Non Nuke area around it now. Not that this was a Big thing to me, in the last one, I saw it 1 time, and i just server hopped and kept on running it (Wanted the glowing alien mask) to put on Maniqunns in my Space ship base.

I've done the fasnacht event by myself in a private server but i didn't nuke it but i did successfully defend the robots without one dying

well this will be the last fasnacht event that anyone would be able to nuke as with the coming patch that is on ptr atm, the nuke-free zone is getting extanded to include the town that fasnacht takes place in.

The answer is no… New players need to take advantage of these type of events. Rare plans can give them a huge head start

These bugs are getting pretty bad. I just got a glowing bull mask, put it on, stayed in the area for about 10 min and then when I look at my character, the mask is not equipped. It's not in my inventory, it's not in storage. It's just gone, like I never had it. Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

I did the first couple days of the event but since then it's been pretty good

Im one of those people who afk, because unlike the people that nuke us, i have an outside life. But the funny thing is, i record my screen and have friends constantly watching, so if you nuke the event and stop new players from participating i nuke your camp and report you for toxic behavior, so in the end you're only hurting yourself. Be kind and understand people can't play 24/7 for a stupid expensive cosmetic

I imagine that if, at this "outside life" that you mentioned, you must be perfectly fine with a co-worker sitting on their phone doing nothing, while you do all the work and then, they get just as much credit for the task as you do who did all the work. An employer that allows you to stand around on their phone falls on them and the company they work for, and does not give you the obligation to oppose and take matters into your own hands, that makes you the asshole no one wants to associate with. I just got my first glowing mask today. The Glowing pig mask.. It's funny because I literally equipped the regular version of it before the legendary monster spawned in.. There might be something there...

I've nuked Helvetica 4 times as the world timer was ticking down to its last hour &30.. Just felt fitting to be honest each time was a unanimous party decision so even better! Also it's just a game people will play the way they play regardless of what a community stance maybe. Also some folks are just murder hobos.

It’s not “afk” if your character is moving collecting flux in the blast zone…. Nuking an event is a great way to max out legendary rewards too, with that up coming double scrip next month (as I heard) it’s a great way to grind those legendaries to sell for double script

I think Bethesda should boot everybody out of the area of the event when it starts like push them to the closest area . Or you should have to talk to the main guy to join it

Fassnacht is just badly designed. I don't blame the afkers because Bethesda has not only enabled them by putting no barriers to getting rewards other than physically being there, and the drop rates are so bad that it's almost like the only logical response. Nuking the event just hurts the new players.

They should make it that actually playing the game increases chances, daliy and weekly challenges completed expeditions dailyops on the day all give a .1% chance to each mask. That would increase the odds from 1:50 to like 1:20. But really people dont want to actually put in much effort and they cry like babies if they dont win big the first time. People would sooner hit their credit card up and buy the item from the atom shop. Plenty of pay to win games out there but they still go for this and whine about it. Ive had 5 glowing masks drop in about 70 events finished. So for me the odds are pretty good and the RNG gods have been kind. You cant even try to explain with logic or reason to these guys, its like a baby who needs their dummy who just cry until they get it and theres nothing you can do to shut them up. I gave up complaining about AFKers because its the only thing that shuts people up about it and the more of the glowing masks around, the less value they will have on the Real Money Trading blackmarket. So AFK 24/7 everyone, it will ruin the economy of them the more of them we farm, hopefully we all get a full set and theyre never worth a single cap just like the non glowing ones.

Why would you even nuke fasnaught? People, people like me, work all day. We get two hours to play a day, and we’d like a little peace…and if we afk, to try to get a rare mask, which I still haven’t gotten yet this time, why does it bother u???

Nuking the event does not prevent the afk people from getting rewards especially if they kill themselves prior to the event starting. Your just making the event more difficult then it needs to be or more annoying then it needs to be.

I don't understand the hate on afking the event. Some people have work and family's, afking is their only shot at a rare /glowing mask. On top of that the event is easy enough to solo, I don't see the problem🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes you should nuke fasnacht because it makes it harder for people to complete it and keeps the amount of new masks low so people can rmt sell them for even more of a over price than they do already. On a serious note though nuking dosnt effect afkers, even when I'm dead from a nuke I still get rewards and don't get kicked so have fun running a silo for nothing ig 😂

AFK farming is ok until people start abusing my patience. I shouldnt be soloing it for 8 plus ppl, i just server hop when its that bad and no one else is joining.

As a favor if you are going to afk at least use your charisma build and share the best perk cards you can so at least your team benefits 😉 It's a win win 🏆 and less reason to be bothered 😉

As an afk farmer I can say if you die you do not get rewards. This has happened to me. after school i came back to find I had been pushed into the river and died from rads but I only had one plan, one mask. Soo yea

Get a haz mat suit or Chinese armor and throw on what rads, if it's lvl 2 or higher you will never die from the nuke so they just waste nukes

Is much worse to the new players, than it is punishing to the AFK's... I dont understand the hate, sometimes I see 1 or 2 players AFK, sometimes not. In the last fastnacht I played a lot and didnt got a single glowing, now Ive done maximum 10 and got the glowing devil and a couple of other cool ones, I dont think the AFK's are so horrific and terrible! For me is jist silly to nuke, this is a mostly friendly game, if people stop playing and leave the console or whatever on and put AFK, so what?! I do t gove an actual f*** and I wouldnt care a bit on launching a nuke just to kill them, its bad for everyone, specialy new players

I wish they had a mask vendor or earn tokens to use on a mask vendor the events drop rates are very low. An players want tooo many caps for a rare mask when they have over 5 of the same kind.

Why does everyone think nuke cards are so rare? I literally hand 3 to any of my friends who nuke over 5 people or 3 camps in one go and still have around 200 that i know of, probably nearly 100 more on my other characters, and it's kinda funny seeing people say nukes shouldn't be used on people I can guarantee the developers knew this would happen at some point or another yet still didn't really say a word about it in the rules, hell the complaining about stuff like this is why the games had every form of pvp nerfed into oblivion leaving us with nothing to do but repeat the last few days activities again until we're bored and just afking events because there's no fun pastimes left, seems like over half this comment sections one of the reasons why I drop nukes on players you guys became my new side mission and the responses are way better rewards then a chance at some glowing mask ill never wear or a 4th butter churn bp i don't need

You should not nuke it. You shouldn't even have to make this video because the answer is so obvious. Think about how you'd feel if you were a low level player who wanted to participate in an event but can't because some jerk nuked it.

Just my two cents: I saw that the Helvetia area was nuked, and I moved on to a different server. I do wish they would change the event a little. I would like them to create more enemy spawns based on the number of folk partaking in the event. I can get pretty unengaging when the spawns are only up for a few seconds.

People AFKing are hurting the players who participate. Making it harder for all 5 bots to survive and ultimately ruining the spirit of the event. These players are hyper toxic, If you thumbs them down they will hate crime you. I used to hate nuking the event but now I get it, keeps them from leaching off players who try. Edit: These players afking the even the last couple days have been calling people 'f****ts' over the mic for thumbs downing their nonsense. One dude kept saying it to me, calling me all sorts of rude names because he got a glowing mask and had the biggest ego...So they started speed running silos to somehow prove I play too much? 😂🤣 (I struggled to fire 1 because I'm returning and extremely rusty) teleported to my store and bought it out, and kept fallowing me calling me homophobic slurs. personally i watched 3 events get nuked and both times watched abunch of new players leave the event completely as well as server instability so 😂 ya way i look at it just hight level players looking for masks to sell later and cutting new players out of getting them for free just like the level 500s emptying the donation boxes lmao nukeing has nothing to do with afk the way i see it just high levels being high levels aka toxic its why i stocked playing 76 2 years ago i came back still the same wish there was a admin system or something like ark like since i been back been kicked from multiple teams to to make room for there friends games so broken

What you should be doing is turning pacifist off, and then using an auto axe or chainsaw to push them out of the event zone.

If someone afking hurts your little feelings you need to get a life dude. Some people don’t have all day to play and want a cool mask, nothing is wrong with that. What you should be doing is worry about making money rather than the random person sitting in a chair hoping for a rare mask while they’re making money at work.

AFK players are only annoying if you let them be. I don't let anyone else live rent free in my head. Just enjoy the game folks.

I just get to the part where the radtoads come up and let them attack the afk folk and kill the robots then I jump to a different server because I'm that bored.

This event is too easy to cry about afk players. Peope have nothing better to do then cry go find a real job or hobby if afking a sinple event cause you to have a heart attack lol

@@Pugggle haven’t seen many low levels complain about it and even then it’s pretty straight forward, I’d say the hardest part for new players would honestly be the eggs and the wood because enemies should scale pretty good for rad toads which are useless and the super mutants are super mutants they are harder for newer players but still not something crazy and then the boss will be something that you can just train around and fill with bullets over time. And this will all never have to happen because I haven’t seen a single instance of someone having to solo because of afk people. Pretty easy game and always populated event there is nothing to complain about here, honestly the real assholes are the ones nuking because a new player would need access to hazmat or power armor

The whole event is kind of a waste of time I did it once and was bored as hell I wish they'd get rid of events for little kids.

Crybabies getting salty about AFKers😂 tell me this game is literally your WHOLE life without saying it. Especially since you can just hop servers in literal seconds. Wasting your own time 🤡
