This is good advice. But what often happens is the woman knows she wants a committed relationship more than she wants to play the field and the man wants to play the field more than he wants a committed relationship. So while it's a good idea for the woman to date multiple people, as soon as she catches feelings (usually because the man is leading her on or because they had sex) then it becomes a situation of commit or go your own way. So the man is rushing her to have sex and then when he gets it he's not sure and wants more time to explore his options but if he doesn't commit at that point the woman is probably going to drop him and he wont get another chance which is why men should not rush in trying to have sex with her. That way he can keep her around longer while he "thinks about who he wants to commit to."
