No, because I don’t see it as morally incorrect. Video explains this. My friends and anyone else who can’t afford to pay $50/month for a lot of software they don’t need deserve the same opportunity as someone who happens to have a lot of money looking to create content. Art is art and your income bracket shouldn’t dictate your ability to succeed in the long run. (Obviously in my opinion)

I'm not going to RENT software... ever. Adobe Creative Cloud is a HUGE gimmick, not allowing us to BUY the whole software, is ridiculous. Why can't I rent-to-own these thousand dollar software? The subscription model is the reason why I will still use cracked versions of Adobe.

This notion that they don't matter is stupid, as if 50% of people cracked software they would loose a significant amount of koney or get bought out meaning the software no longer exists in its previous state. Whilst big companies do have a lot of money, they had to work for it. A lot to f companies have been around for a very long time and didnt see immediate success.

yah I don't enjoy it anymore, but I have no choice because I am just a student who can't pay this kind of softwares.

I pirated tons of software in order to get the stuff I need for my business on KZread, once I got enough money, I use that money to actually buy legit copies of that software that I pirated before, But if I can't buy that software legally anymore, then I just stick to the pirated version of the software that I can't buy

I believe Adobe's business practices are more immoral than piracy. They've patented a lot of the features that make their programs essential for many different things, and so it's impossible for free software to compete. Because they know that most of their users can't switch away from them, they price gouge. They're functionally a monopoly. Piracy is the only way to fight back.

Can Adobe detect the files created using cracked softwares ,for eg if I create a logo using cracked Photoshop and sell it on freelancing,can the freelancing website or the client identify that the logo was created using cracked one.files of both cracked and licensed are same or have any difference in the file codes

I highly agree with that. I myself cracked Minecraft many years ago because i just didnt had the money with 14 years. I also had no pay method and my parents really did not enjoy buying some online stuff. I had a lot of fun with the game but i couldnt get a skin and could not play on a lot of servers. And NO - cracked servers are no option. They just are nothing compared to the big "premium" ones. So, i bought the game like 2 years after that. So, yeah. I did cheat those 20$. But does that matter? I think not, since i finally gave Mojang the money they deserved for me playing. I think so of other programs as well. Even the Minecraft creator says he dont really cares when someone cracks the game. Because if they like it - they'll buy it. And i think that is so true!

I'm 15 years old and have only just started drawing digitally after 6 years of being traditional and at first I was using Krita, which is a really good free program but I found it didn't have all the affects I was after so I ended up cracking Clip Studio Paint. Adobe and many other programs should have a “free with adds option” HOWEVER, it should be non invasive, meaning no putting adds on you exported video and the ads shouldn’t be taking up cpu usage or be way too big on the screen during editing or recording or something. They should only occur on startup and shutdown of the program. Also for people who don’t use wifi during editing, the ads should be imprinted onto the software, allowing advertisement while offline. Things like this would be good for users AND the companies.

By paying Adobe (and any other mayor company) you are not paying the hard worker, you are mainly paying greedy shareholders who have never enough. I don't encourage pirating, but it's better to give your money to the good. The community, as you said.

Pirating is only acceptable if there is no other choice, and there is no alternative, and not because you're unhappy with the brand's money management.

@@nuloom That's not the same thing at all. You can't compare pirating software to not providing payment that could potentially save your life. One you can live without, one you cannot. And one that is unregulated and other that requires payment. You don't get it. Adobe is primarily focused on entreprises, and the increase of price with their subscription based model is further alienating hobbyists and people looking to start a career or small job with their software. They don't care about those people, they care about big businesses that provide them payment for renting their software. Some people I've seen even admit that if they had perpetual licenses (even for a large sum of money) -- they would happily pay it. Now, I just recommend that those people find alternatives (there I many I know for Lightroom and Adobe Premiere). But if you're used to the Adobe suite and need features that only they offer? Your only option is to pirate the software. Many people struggle with rent, or even paying for medical bills for that matter. For those same people being asked to provide monthly payments for renting software is ridiculous. Imo, Adobe should offer an express or 'free' version of their software that doesn't get regular updates and have some of its feature set stripped, like how Hitfilm and DaVinci Resolve work.

TheNickle the thing is hitfilm can afford to do that to gain a lot of popularity, and Resolve is industry standard for colour grading, which in turn makes all grading studios turn to it. Adobe mainly has pros enterprises. They don’t get much money from large studios, because those usually need but photoshop - for creating good 3D bump/whatever maps, they also get a ton of money from professionals, and that’s exactly what’s written on their webpage and everywhere you look: “professional”. Hobbyist != professional. If you do some money on the side with your hobby, you can afford various cheaper software, or maybe even cc itself. I wouldn’t mind a free version of CC, perhaps not stripped out of features, but like Houdini does it - limited export options and watermark. However with Adobe’s greed, you have to put up with hobbyists not getting professional-grade software. And you have to respect their choice.

@@nuloom I acknowledge that the Adobe suite has always been targeted at professionals, but considering a lot of hobbyist which include unpaid ones or people struggling to pay rent with two jobs use their software a lot, it's a bit unreasonable to expect them to make monthly payment for programs they use very often and are skilled with ( KZread videos, illustrations/art, photography, photography, etc). And I can't disagree with someone if they don't agree with Adobe's choice and decide to pirate their software. After all, Adobe doesn't really have any anti-pirate measures in place.

I agree with a lot of what you said. I personally think the idea of a subscription is horrible. Cause this would mean your paying for 30 days of use, when you might only use it for 15 out of those 30 days. So you will be paying for 15 extra days that you did not use the software. I feel like it should be one price and that is final and maybe a little extra for high value updates.

I think what Adobe should do is giving its users an option to pause the subscription so that when they want to use, they can unpause the subscription to use it, but that's my opinion though. But I think this will make more people buying adobe products.

Davinci Resolve is a fine piece of software! They still limit you with the free program a bit, but definitely a good way to go for anybody who doesn't enjoy the Adobe suite for whatever reason. I personally didn't like Resolve though...

Nothing wrong with using gimp, blender/krita, audacity and kdenlive for people starting out. At least they are free and open source. they have a learning curve but combined they can be more powerful than adobe products. I wouldn't endorse cracked products as they could potentially compromise your system via root kits, malware and viruses, especially if your using windoze.

Aren't all cracked files infected? Genuine question, I know someone who cracked a game and his pc just DIED. It was malware city.

I agree with your closing statement. No company likes being pirated, but they generally don't tend to mind it as it brings them more users, and more paid users also, exactly as you described. However, a huge part of creativity is problem-solving and finding ways to express yourself, finding ways to do whatever it is you wish to do. If you are only creative because of the program you use, I don't think you're actually creative. The people behind the program and the people whose tutorials you follow and replicate would be the creative ones in that case. Decade-old and most free software is still better and more powerful than whatever anyone had at their disposal two decades ago, and it didn't stop them either. And surely there is excellent free software like Blender, HitFilm and the like.

I cracked FL Studio around 1 year ago, because I was interested into music production. I got used to the program, which wouldn't have been possible with the demo version. Now I bought the 2nd best version/package for 200€ some months ago. Without the crack, this company probably would've never get those 200€, because there wouldn't have been a real alternative to get used to the program. So actually the crack helped the company.

Short answer: Yes you should as a _SMALL_ content creator with no or little money. Then later, when you become somewhat big, you should be able to afford the programs easily and should pay for it.

Yep. I've had the pirated version of minecraft for a few years now. I felt bad because I wasn't paying for it. So I decided to make a channel so I could afford the programs. And of course, I still had to pirated a video editor. I want to get 1000 subscribers so I could get monetize and hopefully can pay what I have pirated.

Agreed, If I made a viral video, I would no doubt get the full version.

I'm coming clean: I've cracked both premiere pro and after effects as well as some paid plugins for after effects. I'm 17 years old and I'm planning on becoming a video editor; that's literally what I want to do with my life. I make no money off the cracked software, I just create videos and post them to instagram for people to see (@devonranck if you want to check out my flips). I typically use the programs for around 3-4 hours per day just in my free time to edit videos, and i've become extremely effecient and have mastered many of the features in both programs. I believe when I'm older I will pay for these products directly but at the moment I can't even afford to pay my car loan. There is no way I would be able to pay for this software and that's the main reason I decided to look up a cracking tutorial. You;ve made so many good points in this video, and I enjoy you speaking out on these topics. keep it up man!

Piracy wouldn't be an issue (for the most part) if the companies provided better service then the pirates. The only thing piracy should have as a selling point is "free". Stop region locking things. Stop charging an arm and a leg for dumb shit. Get good customer support. Keep things updated and (at least pretend to) show concern for customer's voices. Stop mandatory DLC to access the game/play online (Seriously microtransactions should only be skins/effects/etc.) The list goes on and on. Why would I pay 80$ for something that is region locked, has shitty or no customer support, devs/company that ignores the buyers, a vampiric payment system, among more, when I could get it without all that shitty stuff AND for free. I (and many others I know) will gladly pay money if the hassle of the pirated version (no CS, annoying installs and downloads, no dev input, etc.) was less incentive then paying some money and getting access to all of that good stuff.

Difficult topic ... I think cracking is not necessarily a bad thing... Cracking software from a big company like adobe does not make me feel bad cause let's be honest they knew people were going to try and crack their shit so they need to prepare their software adequatly... They have the buged and the now how to implement anti pirating techniques which make cracking a piece of software nearly impossible or at least unusable... For example cracking big big rpg/fps games from the last 6/5 years has become more and more difficult... Take NFS 2016... Because its a game which only works online 2 years have passed without a working crack. Or battelfield 1 there are cracks but whats the point playing a game build around its multyplayer if you've only got a few stiry missions.... Cracking software from a small companie is something I personally can't understand... Small software creators die because if cracking... They are the ones that loose money or even their bussines... Those big companys aren't helpless they are dumb if they let them crack their software...

Like you, with whom I completely agree, I've done both paid and cracked, each under what I consider appropriate circumstances. I've used cracked software from giant corporations (who can afford to charge less but they don't) when I need it but make no money from it, and I've paid big bucks for software x (from a small company, btw) when I've used it to make money in my profession x. The latter is something my parents' generation called pride of ownership. Software for blind people (who don't usually have a lot of money) is unconscionably expensive. I know someone who strongly objects to cracked and pirated software, and yet he has offered to get cracked versions for his blind friends. One has to be pretty heartless to have a problem with that.

3:30 - you are so full of it, dude. I've been pretty deep in the scene since the late 90s and I've talked to people in those big groups who crack software. They're smart. They know what they're doing. That's why you get the cracked versions that come from OFFICIAL pirate groups -- not some 3rd party generic, shady release. Remember the groups? Fairlight, EGO, RNS, DEViANCE, Razor1911, SKIDROW, RELOADED, CORE, etc. It's so rare that essential features don't work in cracked PC programs.

I could not agree with you more about the lack of a DECENT free editing suite. I struggled and struggled with GIMP and then I broke down and got a Photoshop subscription lol. I'm not trying to make money, I have graphic design skills that I use for a parrot education group.

I used hitfilm now. I used a crack adobe premire pro but it maybe figure out i was using. Cracks so i make a hurry move to hitfilm

I completely agree with this. I do plan on buying SVP once I’m actually able too. Plus most of these software don’t give you trials, so cracking is the only way we can try it.

There are 2 main issues here. Affordability and ownership of the software. Adobe doesn't care about either.

What I think that Adobe should do is sell Creative Cloud in different bundles selling cheaper and you can but it one time instead of monthly paynents

Cracked programs being unstable and outdated is something you would tell a person who knows nothing about computers. If you know a lot about computers, then you won't have that problem. I have bought some computer software but it is impossible to buy everything I use. Granted if I make money of the software I use, I will buy them.

Cracked Adobe products are not different from the others because there is a decryption key, and all you have to is download Adobe and plug it in.

Can Adobe detect the files created using cracked softwares ,for eg if I create a logo using cracked Photoshop and sell it on freelancing,can the freelancing website or the client identify that the logo was created using cracked one.files of both cracked and licensed are same or have any difference in the file codes

@@artmonk5112 No. In general, the files created by software such as Photoshop and Illustrator won't have any type of signature connected to the source (and licensing status) of the software you used.

@@chriscraf5916 You're right. The only problem is malware. Cracked programs are infamous for containing malware and being used for backdoor hacking. But if you use a good antivirus and you're careful about which websites you use to get your software from, you should be fine.

@@dafanciest392 yeah i usally run most things cracked or just some form of like edit pack through virustotal and malwarebytes and i also try to stick to watermark cracking/filereplacement were yo just remove water mark of free trial and make it last forever

This aged poorly because of early cancellation fee

Aside of being immoral, I am worried about the cracked versions because you never know what the hacker code in the patch. Especially in this era where digital information is valuable (personal info, financial info, private keys for your crypto wallets, etc.), you cannot risk backdoors on your device.

Failed to recognize 1 time purchase ownership issues. We use to be able to pay 1 time for software. Ownership rights must be restored by greedy corporations. Why do we need to pay rent for a software? We should own it.

I think cracking is only ok when you have no money and the product you are cracking is from a very big company.

For anyone who wants free editing software without pirating a paid program Hitfilm is pretty solid. There are some issues here and there but its usable.

Nah they don't do that, no company sues you for cracking lol

It cost way too much. And their programs are required by most universities. I've been downloading cracked versions for years because I am even struggling to eat. I would like to pay for a full complete version someday so I can truly enjoy the experience like i did during the free trial.

I would crack Photoshop because it is way too expensive for me but I am always scared that I get a virus when I crack something

I am learning the programs. this allows me to use the program to it fullest for my employer who as paid for the program. I agree with this guy completely !!
