The craziest thing about stealth in Brotherhood is that it improved so many things that you probably wouldn’t even notice were improvements. For example, in AC2, you can only use the Hidden Gun when you’re on a surface where Ezio can stand upright and the gun takes 3 seconds to full charge. In Brotherhood, you can shoot the gun from on beams, and it takes less than a second to charge. In AC2, you can only drop a smoke bomb directly at your feet. In Brotherhood, you can lean over an edge to drop a smoke bomb off of it, and you can lock onto enemies to throw smoke bombs at them. In AC2, you can only use flying knives in combat. In Brotherhood, you can use them in stealth. You can also use the Hidden Gun as an audio lure in Brotherhood. They also added poison darts, which are the strongest ranged weapon in all of AC. The stealth in Brotherhood is an easy contender for best in the series. It’s crazy how they went from AC2 to this in 10 months.

Very good points, and yeah brotherhood improved and fixed a lot of small things which in turn made a huge difference, and in such a small amount of time to develop the game, very impressive especially for Ubisoft.

@@masterassassin791 I would disagree about the easy combat being a negative. Combat it ac2 was easy too, only very passive and tedious after a few hours. Combat in BH get rid of the tedium by making it flashy and fluid. Also, "filler" missions are there to set up optional storylines like Romulus or Thieves guild. You can skip them or play them, but if you do play them you get quite a bit of story and it makes the Rome feel more alive than Florence or Venice.

Im playing ac2 for the first time. Its ok. Its a little boring at times. Its definitely a step up from ac1 but a bunch of things about the game bug me. I hate the crime system where you have to search around for posters every single time you basically anything just to lower your wanted level. Very annoying and unnecessary. Also the entire game is very brown. The cities all look the same to me. And then theres the open field areas but theres nothing to do in them so why do they even exist? I’ll probably hop off it to play brotherhood.

Just picked up AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations up in a MS store bundle sale for $12.

My favorite after AC2. Love the Rome setting- and there are some different regions to go to. Enjoy training the assassins and having them help you out in battle. Everything is better here than in the modern games. When you say "Assassin's Creed" this is what I think of.

@@Arechz well all I hope for is that they make side releases in the older games style and take more time for the RPG stuff to make a story to make sense because Valhalla I felt like if I chose some options my ending would make more sense like if I got the bad ending it might work better to feel like a stronger story than what I got with my choices. Than I could at least hopefully get side releases in the style of games I actually won’t and hopefully stronger storylines for every ending that makes the RPG elements at least feel worth while if they insist on putting it in. Like the strongest RPG game they made was Odyssey but it’s like they completely forget what AC is which just made it awful in ruining expectations of what you’d want from an AC game when it was such a promising setting as well to put one in that had so much potential and ruined the modern day character in DLC when we just got one again that at least Valhalla managed to fix the modern day and added some fun Assassin’s creed bits and lore in it.

Agreed, if they make an old ac game right now then it would popping off. Though, they only care about the money which makes sense since lots of companies want to give their fans content and they get money in return and with the old ac. None of that has been happening, they’ve resorted to newer and more different designed games like Valhalla and that has gotten so much more money.

I've been playing the ezio collection for the first and just 100 percented AC2. Going into Brotherhood it is a definite improvement so far. I feel like the parkour is less jank, but can't say anything about the stealth yet because I haven't gotten that far yet. Combat definitely feels like an improvement though.

Now that I've finished the whole collection my favorites go AC Revelations, AC 2, then AC Brotherhood. I didn't like missions in Brother as much as the other 2 and the optional objectives were more annoying than Revelations in my honest opinion.

Man this bring so many memories first time I played it was in 2010 I was 16 and still remember it very well. I’m thinking of playing it again after so many years. However, AC2 and Revelations were also sick and they’re my favorite assassins period.

Doing a playthrough of all the games really makes you appreciate this whole trilogy. It’s just so good

Brotherhood was the pinnacle of assassins creed parkour and story telling but AC2 will always hold a special place in my heart 😁

I took a break from AC Valhalla and Far Cry 6 to go back and re-play the Ezio Trilogy on the PS5, and I have to say, I'm absolutely loving Brotherhood all over again. It runs beautifully on the PS5, and it is such an improvement over AC2. Contrary to what the reviewer says with respect to Brotherhood's length, sure, the main story is shorter than before, but there is so much to do in the game world, that you hardly care. I absolutely love bringing down the Borgia towers, recruiting novice assassins and sending them off on their own missions (which carry on through several more sequels, including the ships in Black Flag and Rogue), and also renovating all the shops. It's a lot of fun. And much has to be said about a game over a decade old that "forces" you to go back to play it whilst laughing in the face of Ubisoft's two most recent entries in AC and Far Cry franchises. Anyway, must dash, as I have to go and destroy another of Leonardo DaVinci's war machines.

+1 Reason - Sound Track Sound Track of this game is out of the world.

After replaying this and 2, can definitively say it’s the better game. AC2 did not age well in terms of gameplay. The only negative is the ending. Desmond and Lucy had good chemistry, but to make her a Templar messed up the story and Desmond’s progression. Found out they killed her because the actress asked for more money. Not surprised Revelations was not well received the following year due to all this mishaps like creative director leaving or getting fired.

Let’s be real ac 1 to brotherhood was a perfect evolution of mechanics, Revelations expanded story and closed of the series and then Ubisoft plateaued and dipped( I love ac3/4 also but mechanically it wasn’t the same, played Syndicate but can’t actually remember most of it take that as it is, played Origins last year and then went and bought the Ezio collection because I craved ac which the new ones just can’t deliver on)

unity technically had 1 single BIG city, versailles was mostly mission-only with few collectibles and franciade was DLC.

@@masterassassin791 then if you’d consider that with how many different areas Rogue could go to and like the vast area that Black Flag with all the different territories owned by different countries could go to then didn’t Syndicate still do the same thing staying in a particular region sense by how you corrected yourself in that reply really until Valhalla since Valhalla was the only one to break how you describe the same region to be by going to Norway, England, and Vinland since with Vinland. Where then the statement until Syndicate would still be wrong because if you count those kind of areas covered in the games after brotherhood then Syndicate did the same thing keeping it more to a singular region way more than games like Rogue, and Black Flag and even could say than 3 did. I mean even more contained area then the game right after Brotherhood with Revelations with going to Masyaf multiple times Syndicate didn’t do anything like that so I don’t get that point and why it’s up to Syndicate. And if you meant including Syndicate then even Origins stayed in 1 area as much as Black Flag did.

Hell yeah best character in gaming none come close to him his story and character development is unmatched

I want to love Brotherhood, but some of the game breaking bugs are just too prevalent for me to ignore. I can't even count how many hours I've spent on Flying Machine 2.0 just because the controls keep bugging out and direction control is impossible at all. There's also the glitch where you have to kill Micheletto's men by calling in your recruits, but the full sync will fail if your recruits decided to use any ranged weapon. These bugs make it hard to recommend this game to anyone, at least on PC.

I recently bought the whole Ezio collection, my first ac games, even tho i liked the ac series before buying the games. Im 15 so im too broke to buy any other games. I saw ac 1 directors cut for cheap on steam and i think im gonna buy it. I hope i get enough money for ac 3 soon. I okay it on my laptop

I don't agree that the game is unplayable with keyboard and mouse. I have played it when it came out on PC and replayed it recently and the controls felt pretty nice. Really like the videos you make on AC topics keep it up.

Few years ago I bought Ezio trilogy for PS4. Back then I played ACII on PC, played - but not fully completed - Brotherhood on PC. Never played Revelations. Fast fwd few years, I played all AC since Black Flag, so I knew I had to go back to Ezio sooner or later. Here I am, I started last month, completed ACII and now in the middle of Brotherhood. Amazing games, you can feel the difference with modern AC. The story is amazing, the dialogues, the cut scenes, your brain doesn't get bullied by side missions. If you've never played Ezio, you haven't played AC.

I think he’ll do Revelations and AC3 first before Black Flag.

The village gets destroyed and you can rebuild it during the game, you have the Romolu and Remo side missions, the new guild missions to train your assassins, also the rebuild of Rome and an amazing story, the best assassins creed

Replaying it now on SwitchOLED. Really great game! I’ve played all but the OG game and Unity and I’ve been switching between playing this on Switch which chilling on the couch and playing Unity on my PC (that game looks really good still too and the parkour is killer!) but ya def enjoying Brotherhood, it’s prob my favorite of the early AC games. I was thinking of buying the Ezio Trilogy for my PS4 but idk tbh. I was really young when the games came out like elementary school but I remember my cousin playing it all those years ago and I would sit and watch him cause he was older and had a 360. I never really played but I watched all of trilogy games on KZread multiple times over so idk if playing it would somehow feel different.

The whole ease of combat didn't bother me. Much better than hitting a soldier with an axe ten times. It's more realistic

3:55 Ac2 has four different armor sets you buy from blacksmiths and the the fifth which you get by getting all the assassin seals. That five armor sets. Brotherhood has the exact same amount of armor sets. Ac2 lets you dye your outfits too. In fact, every city has its own four different variants. Even more dye options than Brotherhood in other words.

at least brotherhood made the armor sets a bit different, than just a recolor but dye colors every distric in acbrother has different colors so it evens it out, but the altair armor is sooo much better than romulos haha, in looks that is

I freaking wish the ezio collection made ac2 in brotherhood or revelations engine with the graphics and textures of those games. When i went back to florence in brotherhood my jaw dropped. Ac2 looks so much worse and it would have been a blessing to be able to play it with Brotherhood gameplay and graphics.

The only thing I wish they changed in the remake is that you could crouch

I will play this many times over. This is the best AC of all time thus far, from its soundtrack, right up to the game/story itself. Hey, I have my bias. Let's see if Mirage can hold a candle to this. For the love of the AC series I hope it can.

This was literally my first assassin creed it's what got me into this games in 2012 I lost interest during odyssey. Brotherhood will always be assassin creed too bad they went rpg route.

It's probably my favorite game in the series. Not too large, not too small, and the gameplay felt addicting. The story felt engaging, and the protagonist holds up well, but what really kept me going was restoring and controlling the whole city, like a past-day mafioso in a way.

Just got it to work 1 week ago and lemme tell you i had fun on the ps3 due to it having scratches it has some error where some words in cutsene ore when the character is talking wont play but its Still good still working :)

The definitive Assassin experience will always be Brotherhood in my opinion. Of course a lot of other games have a great Assassin experience but Brotherhood is number 1 in my opinion .

Brotherhood is def my goat of assassins creed games. But I also think that origins is 100% up there close behind it because origins was one of the most fun, long and cinematic games I’ve ever played for sure

I bought it. Actually all of the main titles except Valhalla coz it was on sale last May. I'm aiming for 100% completion. I have finished AC1 & 2 to 100%. Now I'm playing Brotherhood and for me this is the best in the series.

There are glitches...and yes some missions are hard to play in pc like i have to calm myself but yeah i think this trilogy is the best...I love how the 100% sync makes sense since doing so will give you access to more memories to play

I had a glitch during subject 16’s digital maze where one of the staircases popped up on top of me so I was stuck inside it and couldn’t get out. I had to reboot the game and when I did it took me back to Rome instead of the maze, only now I was playing as Desmond instead of Ezio

RPG assassin’s creed games are cool but the originals will always be the best

I played AC1 when it first came out but I never finished it. A couple months ago I was looking for a game series to play and decided to jump back in to AC. Unfortunately, PS4 doesn’t support AC1 so I bought the AC Ezio series. I really enjoyed AC2 and I just started Brotherhood last night. I gotta say so far it’s way way better than AC2. I’m the type that likes to finish all the side quests before the main quest and I know I’m going to enjoy burning the towers, and renovating shops, and finding all the flags. I’m so excited I want to finish the whole game today, but I’ve read that the rest of the series is not up to par with Brotherhood. So I might prolong it! Lol
